A very quick response and clearly explained the different option of services to care for my cat Bobo at such a difficult time. The whole service was handled perfectly and professional way, from the collection of Bobo till we've got Bobo's ashes just a few days.

A kind, sensitive and supportive service that completely understood our needs set in an idyllic location. I would have no hesitation recommending Barnshaw for the dignity that they gave to our Lulu’s passing. It was very appreciated.

We Couldn't have wished for nicer people to help us on such an awful day when we lost our Bully at home. It was a sunday morning which made us quite panicky. But We rang Diane at Barnshaw and she was so understanding, caring and compassionate and talked us through everything. We then communicated via WhatsApp with our needs (ashes box, paw prints etc). We agreed a time that they could collect and were very accommodating with that, and also an ETA sent when they were on the way. We were very fortunate that our beloved dog died on his bed, in his sleep, very peacefully, so when Chris and Di arrived, they kept him on his bed to transport him which really comforted us. Once our Bentley was safely in their van, we were able to come back out and say our final goodbyes. They chatted to us and really listened, and showed so much compassion. So friendly and personable. Bentley was ready to collect the next day, but luck had it that they had an appointment near us and dropped Bentley back home for us! I can't recommend these people highly enough- there are certain people that were made for certain professions, and Chris and Di were definitely made to do this- you helped ease such a horrible time. We will always be grateful to you. Thankyou❤️

I have never been so satisfied as I am with the service I have received from these wonderful people. I had to say goodbye to my dog and best friend Max on the 17th of March and these lovely people had him back home in a lovely wooden casket. I can’t thank these people enough……thank you the world over

Anybody that has lost a pet knows how heartbreaking the experience is. It’s a time of shock, uncertainty, guilt and intense upset.
To have been guided through this process by Di and Chris was immensely appreciated as we prepared and eventually had to say goodbye to our beautiful rottie, Rudi.
They were responsive, empathetic and incredibly professional through every aspect of our experience. For as achingly painful as it was, we were comforted to know that he was respected and cared for from the moment he passed, all the way through to us collecting him to bring him home. To know that he was treated in a dignified way, meant everything to us as we tried and continue to try to come to terms with life without him.
Barnshaw was recommended to me by a fellow dog walker and I will now have no hesitation in doing the same.

The team at Barnshaw Pet Cremations offered an amazing service at one of the most difficult and sad times, their empathy was tangible. Freddie our cat, brother to Thomas, his health finally failed and losing him is so hard but they respectfully guided us through the process with sympathy and understanding. A remarkable and touching service run by very special people. Cannot speak highly enough of Chris, Diane, Kathryn and their company.

I can’t express enough gratitude to Barnshaw Pet Cremation for the compassionate care they provided for my beloved Labrador, Daisy. Losing her was one of the hardest moments of my life, but the team at Barnshaw made the process as gentle as possible.

So supportive over us loosing our family cat, at a very hard time couldn’t have asked for a better service. If I could give 6 stars I would. The consideration and time put into our situation was so selfless and kind!

We lost our beautiful Collie Mollie at 11.30pm on Saturday 24th January. As she was booked in for the Sunday 25th for home euthanasia with Silver Gate vets, then to go to Barnshaw that day, we were at at loss what to do. After contacting the Vet, they instantly got in touch with Barnshaw who contacted us immediately. Chris came over I think about 12.30pm ish or later and was amazing. He was so thoughtful and kind. He spent time with us and was very compassionate. He even offered to take a paw print for us as we tried and failed. He let our other dog Bertie say goodbye when she was in the van, and us of course. Diane contacted me the following day to tell me Mollie was ready to come home and arranged her to be delivered to us today 27th Jan 2026. I cannot recommend Barnshaw enough. Thank you to you all.

Today was a heartbreaking day where I had to have my gorgeous Bailey Boo put to sleep, what was a very difficult and emotional day was made slightly easier with the kindness shown by Barnshaw Pet Crematorium. Cannot recommend them enough, they were very accommodating and came recommended by two of my friends who spoke very highly of them and rightly so, as they were fantastic! We dropped Bailey off this morning and were able to bring him home later that day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, it meant so much to me today.

Chris and Di made a very difficult time just a little bit easier. The empathy and kindness they gave to us was a precious memory at a very early stage of our grieving process. Being able to bring our beautiful Mylo directly to Barnshaw from the vets, after he had crossed the rainbow bridge, and to have his ashes back with us in less than 24hours, was so special. They enabled Mylo’s final journey to be a dignified and beautiful one. It is a wonderful place set in beautiful countryside. What completed our experience was to be able to add Mylo’s photo and a few words about him on their memorial wall. Words are not enough to convey our gratitude and thanks.

We had Lucy put to sleep on 23dec2025 and decided that we wanted to take her to be cremated, Chris and Diane were very kind and caring, we got lost trying to find Barnshaw and Chris phoned us and then found us and we followed him to the crematorium he told not to worry as we had gone over are booked appointment by over an hour and we were able to collect Lucy after a couple of hours and take her home.

We used Barnshaw Pet Crematorium to care for our dearest dog, Chubbs, and we truly couldn’t have asked for more compassionate people during such a heartbreaking time.

The owners were so thoughtful and understanding. Chris made us feel incredibly calm and supported, helping us give Chubbs the best possible send-off. Losing a pet is unimaginably painful, but we are so grateful we chose Barnshaw.

The last thing you want, on a day you never think will come, is to hand your beloved companion over to a stranger. Chris never made us feel like that at all. We didn’t feel rushed, and we truly felt heard.

The attention to detail meant so much to us — the wooden heart with Chubbs’ name attached, along with the cremation certificate, are beautiful keepsakes. We also purchased a framed paw print, which we will treasure forever.

They also have a tribute page on their website, where Chubbs now has a special place to be remembered alongside other beloved pets, which means so much to us.

We cannot thank them enough for taking such wonderful care of us and our boy. We highly recommend Barnshaw Pet Crematorium to any pet owners out there. 💙

I found Barnshaw Pet Crematorium through a Google search when my dog passed away. I looked at several websites, and although Barnshaw was the furthest from me, I really appreciated the clear and transparent pricing on their website, unlike others that required filling in forms just to get a quote.

At the time, I hadn’t read the reviews — only seeing them now, I completely understand why they have 5 stars. If anyone could make such an extremely traumatic experience even a tiny bit more bearable, it’s the Barnshaw team.

When I called, I believe I spoke to Diane. She was kind, incredibly pleasant, and immediately put me at ease while booking my visit. When I arrived, I was met by Chris, who was genuine, compassionate, and patient. I truly cannot say enough good things about him. You can tell these people love animals dearly and genuinely understand the grief of pet owners.

In an absolutely heartbreaking situation, I received a truly heart-warming welcome. We had a good chat, and I knew without any doubt that I was leaving my dog, Duke, in the best possible hands. Thank you so much, Chris — the experience felt deeply personal and respectful.

I recently had to face something I’d never prepared myself for — saying goodbye to my amazing dog, Maisy. In such an emotional and overwhelming moment, having both the vet and the crematorium team come to our home made an incredible difference for all of us, especially Maisy.

Being able to keep her in the comfort of her own surroundings brought a sense of calm and dignity to her final moments. The compassion, professionalism, and gentle manner shown by everyone involved gave me real peace of mind. Every step was handled respectfully and thoughtfully, allowing us to focus on being with Maisy rather than worrying about logistics.

It’s not a service you ever hope to need, but when that time comes, having people who will come to your home, treat your pet with genuine kindness, and make the process as comforting as possible means everything. I could not recommend them enough.

Lovely Di and Chris were so kind and supportive when I lost my beautiful Monty at the weekend. They provided outstanding care and returned him to me very quickly which has been a great comfort. Thank you Di and Chris x
