This company is a fake/fraud.
For a 'media' company, you only need to look at their own website which is littered with spelling mistakes and the original 'lorum ipsum' latin text from whichever website template they used to fake their existence. They advertise job positions that don't exist, just to get applicants to submit content that they presumably sell on to a third party. After a 5-minute telephone conversation (which they claim is an 'interview'), the 'job' applicants are then asked to submit content for a product, never receiving acknowledgment of their submission or hearing another word. Don't whatever you do, reply to a job advert for this 'company'. Neither the job or the company are real.

Working there was fun in some ways — mostly because you had to figure everything out on your own. Unfortunately, there was hardly any real professional growth.

The constant threat of contract cancellation hung over everyone. There were no yearly raises or bonuses. They squeezed every last drop out of you. To meet their expectations, you basically had to be Superman — they were completely detached from what’s reasonable for any normal person.

Last year, I asked the manager for a raise. I was told to wait at least another year. When that time finally came and I followed up, I was told to start working on the new project and we’d "settle the rate" later. But when I was just about to submit a portion of the work, I asked again about the raise — only to be told they could offer just $0.50 more.

It felt like a slap in the face — borderline bullying, honestly. So, I stepped back from the agreement. Later, the supervisor came back and said, 'Hey! Just a quick update — I told the boss how you understandably felt about the new rate, and he said he apologizes, as he didn’t mean to offend.' Then the raise was changed to $1.

The CEO is purely profit-driven, and it seems the supervisor has adopted the same approach. That said, I did have the chance to work with some really good people — and that made parts of the experience worthwhile.
