We recently used Bell & Sons and couldn’t be happier with the service provided by Jake and Owen. They were very efficient, careful and polite. Would definitely recommend and use again if needed in the future.

Easiest move we’ve done. From initial contact, getting a quote etc all the way through to unloading at the new place - professional, friendly and efficient. Took the stress out of the day and genuinely took care to make sure everything was how we’d like it. Fully recommend.

From start to finish, the entire experience with this removals and storage company was absolutely outstanding. From the very first initial survey, it was clear we were dealing with true professionals. The survey process was thorough yet efficient, with everything explained clearly and no detail overlooked. It gave us complete confidence that our move would be handled with care and precision.

Communication throughout was excellent—every question we had was answered promptly, and we always felt informed and reassured. On moving day, the team arrived right on time, fully prepared, and with a friendly, can-do attitude that immediately put us at ease.

The crew worked incredibly hard, handling all of our belongings with the utmost care and respect. Nothing was too much trouble, and their organisation and efficiency made what could have been a stressful day feel smooth and well-managed. It was clear they take real pride in their work and uphold the highest standards of professionalism.

Overall, this is a genuine 5-star company that delivers exactly what they promise—and more. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and stress-free moving experience.

We used Bell & Sons for our recent house move and we found their service exceptionally good. The organisation and service from the office was good but it was the guys who helped us on the day that really impressed us. They never stopped working all day and were friendly, attentive and respectful . A very professional outfit that I would highly recommend.

Very disappointing experience with Bells Removals. We were due to move on Friday and, as recently as one working day before being turned away, were told availability was good. I was clear that, while we hadn’t exchanged, I had concerns about not having formally confirmed our booking with Bells. Despite this, I was guided to simply “keep checking in” rather than being clearly advised that the date was genuinely at risk.

While paying a deposit to secure the date was mentioned, there was no clear guidance about demand, no strong recommendation to secure it, and no cancellation waiver offered.

Then, just four days before the move, we were told their availability was maxed out and they couldn’t help us, causing unnecessary stress at an already pressured time.

When arranging an alternative removals company, it was mentioned that they had recently spoken to other customers who’d experienced similar last-minute cancellations, which was concerning.

I certainly won’t be considering Bells Removals for any future moves. Reliability matters

Their shambolic unprofessional office team nearly lost us the house we were buying when, on the day of exchange, they claimed that they had not confirmed our booking, that they could not find their own email correspondence confirming this, and denied several phone conversations over the previous days. Forced us to desperately ring round other firms to see who might be able to take on the move with just two days notice!

Update: Bell's recent reply has been very disappointing and, much like the response that they gave me when I originally complained directly to them, it indicates that they have no appreciation at all of the very serious shortcomings in the service that they offer. They merely gave the same verbatim rebuttal that they have given to other negative reviews. I really had hoped that my review would encourage them to improve matters - but they have responded in a manner that would indicate that they have no intention of changing how they operate at all.

To clarify my particular case: They state that all calls are recorded - but at the time of my move they claimed that they had no record of the phone conversations that we had, nor any record of confirmation of my booking, denying that they had received my email confirmation with the completed acceptance form even though they had replied to that very email. I had also phoned to ensure that they had received that acceptance form in the run-up to moving and I had been assured that everything was in place, but then, some days after, late in the morning on the day of exchange of contracts, they emailed me to say that they could not guarantee accommodating the move that I had booked and that they were reviewing availability. I immediately called them, close to midday, to be told that they denied that I had a confirmed booking and that they couldn’t tell me when they would be able to confirm whether they could do the move or not because the owner hadn’t arrived in the office yet after the bank holiday weekend. I had to call off the whole chain of property exchange with our solicitors and chase other removal companies to desperately try to find a reputable company that could accommodate us last minute.

Despite frantically calling several firms, we had no luck finding an alternative at such short notice, and when Bell did later get back to me to say that they could accommodate the move after all, they demanded non-refundable payment in full, entirely contrary to the cancellation terms in their own T&Cs - we had no choice nor time to argue, we just had to hope that we could restart the chain and pray that everyone would still have enough time to complete the contract exchange that day. That was our last chance, and had the chain failed we would have lost the house purchase and would then have been left to begin the house search all over again - so this chaos caused by Bell was massively stressful for us on the day.

When I complained after the move, all Bell could do was repeat statements about how they always advise customers in accordance with their "standard practice" and terms and conditions. That simply is untrue in my case, Bell had assured me that my move was booked, that they were in receipt of my signed agreement, and that nothing more was required - they only raised the prospect that they could not accommodate the move on the very day of exchange, when they suddenly denied all of this.

Following my posting on Trustpilot, Bell tried to dispute my review but it was rightly upheld. Should they wish to try to dispute it further, I would willingly give all evidence of our email exchanges and would welcome the opportunity for us all to hear the recordings of our phone conversations that they say they have - you could then readily judge for yourselves how poorly this company managed our move.

We have to say that we were amazed at the quality of work the boys did. Everything went like clockwork, every item logged and wrapped with great care. We could not fault them in any way and the effort every one of the men put in was faultless. I would recommend them to anyone.

Excellent experience all round. Our move was conducted professionally and efficiently, with great care taken to protect our belongings. The mover team were courteous and flexible, with fantastic communication at all times with regards to the plan.
In the end, the move was completed in significantly less time than expected, which gave us back almost a full day to get into the unpacking.

Every aspect of our experience with Bell and Sons was excellent. The initial survey by James was set up quickly, efficiently carried out and the quote sent was fair and reasonable in comparison to other quotes we had. The actual move itself was equally handled with professionalism and care. Carl and Simon and the team worked incredibly hard and always looked to resolve any problems that arose. As anyone moving house knows, it can be stressful with lots to think about so having a reliable and highly professional removal team is essential. We would thoroughly recommend Bell and Sons based our experience.

Totally excellent experience with Bell & Sons.
It began from the first call to enquire about a removal quote - Shelley & Racheal, were so kind, helpful & informative. I spoke mainly with Shelley, & if I had any questions she was always so very friendly & helpful.
From the moment of Simon arriving from Bell & Sons all of my worries about the move were totally put at ease, he was amazing. Simon was so friendly, experienced, courteous, efficient, & incredibly helpful. The rest of the Bells team were equally all so friendly, helpful & courteous throughout the entire pack.
On arrival at our new house, Simon knew where everything was going which was brilliant. The team were all so kind & accommodating, nothing was too much for them. They handled all of our belongings with such care & attention - not one tiny thing was damaged throughout the entire move.
I found the whole move experience so very comfortable & stress free thanks to the wonderful experience Bells offered, particularly the kind service Simon provided us with.
I would hands down recommend Bell & Sons & I will definitely be using them again in the future.

We decided to go with Bells on a recommendation from a friend, what a good decision that turned out to be. Competitive in price to begin with. The ladies in the office have got to be some of the friendliest, kindest and professional people we have had the pleasure to deal with. Then the gentleman that did the move were amazing. Again super professional, polite and efficient. They were top of their game, the furniture was packed securely in super quick time and again unpacked and positioned where we indicated at our new home. We have not had movers before but we certainly picked the best, they couldn’t have been better.

Excellent move from a courteous team on site, backed up with superb support from the office

We used Bell and Sons for a 2 day move from Northamptonshire to North Yorkshire and found their service to be exceptionally good in all aspects. The quote was done by Chris Bell who was courteous and knowledgeable in all aspects of removal. Unlike several other companies that provided wishy washy quotes which didn't detail many of the specifics we asked for, the Bells quote covered everything. What's more, their price was better than the others by between £300 and £1300. Once booked we had good quality pre-used boxes delivered and the day before the move Adie came and packed our kitchen which took the pressure off us. On the day of the move we had Tony, Jake and Steve come to carry out the rest of the move. All were very courteous and nice guys to chat to. They loaded us efficiently and with appropriate care and then unloaded us in pouring rain. Again, very efficient and without complaint. All in all a very good experience from a very pleasant company to do business with and I would thoroughly recommend them. Thanks guys.

We were very impressed with Bell and sons from start to finish. The booking was straightforward with very helpful and knowledgeable. On move day the removal men arrived on time, introduced themselves and were polite, courteous and hard working all day. They took everything in their stride and moved all our furniture swiftly and safely as well as doing a brilliant job with dismantling and reassembling the beds. Very satisfied, we would definitely recommend.

Excellent experience moving from Leicester to Birmingham with Bell and Sons Storage and Removal company. Our whole experience of the day was so much better than what we'd gone through previously: the guys in the team were courteous, helpful and good-humoured throughout the day and nothing was too much trouble. Our belongings were handled with considerable care and consideration at all stages and, at the end of a long day, they made sure that they stayed until we were completely happy with where everything was. Very happy with all aspects.

Very pleased with the service. The team arrived on time and packed items quickly and efficiently. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Items not packaged or protected as promised. Advised of damage 21 days after delivery and was told I had seven days to do so as a result of which my claim was rejected. Who unpacks everything in seven days?
I was given a lesson on the difference between insurance cover and liability which while extensive did nothing to solve my problem.
I would certainly not use again. Two stars for friendliness of team.
