A beautiful and functional table - highly recommend

I have ordered a "Magic White Extendable Coffee & Dining Table 6 in 1" on 18 June. All packages arrived today, 26 June. The assemble instructions can be use some improvement. The nuts and bolts should be labelled on the diagrams. Nonetheless, I have assembled it correctly and it is as beautiful and functional as I have imagined. Nice jobs.

A little side story. It came in 2 packages but it was not mentioned in the emails Bera Design sent. The delivery company, FedEx, did show 2 item for the tracking number. However, the first package was delivered yesterday. And the courier confirmed there was only a single package. Okay, I thought. Let me check what was inside. Oh, no. I was sure there were missing parts. I went back to the tracking page. All it said was delivered. A second package was not mentioned anywhere.

I wrote an email to Berea Design to ask about the missing parts. I was panic because I had read reviews mentioned some buyers did not get a respond for months.

Luckily, I have got a reply today and the CS Team confirmed me that there were 2 packages. The service was much better than I anticipated. Hooray, the second package arrive in the afternoon!

Bera Design should be avoided

Bera Design have been nothing but a headache of an experience. I ordered my table on the 1st January and I was waiting and hadn't heard anything from them for a few weeks so contacts them. They didn't reply so I got back in touch again and they said there had been an issue with FedEx and would update me. I didn't get updated until I contacted for an update and they apologised and offered me 5% compensation for my inconvenience. I then contacted again at a later date and they cancelled the order, issued the refund and didn't reorder me my item or try resending it, or give me the compensationthey previouly said they would(Every time i would contact they would just offer a refund rather than help resolve the issue) I thought I would try again this time using my credit card. I am glad I did use my credit card but wish I didn't try again at all. I ordered again and this time there was an issue with the vessel. I was told this was the first time they had an issue which was an obvious lie as I already had an issue with an order before ( unless the issue was a lie). Again I only got any updates from me contacting and again not really offering to help but just offering a refund. After 5 months of waiting and no product and extremely poor customer service I have officially given up and will be telling people to avoid this company at all cost.
Please please dont ignore the negative reviews they are there for a reason. I dont usually write reviews but I dont want anyone else going through this headache

Bera Design Extendable Table

Bera Design did not supply me with the full item I ordered, I have contacted them over the past four months and each time they come up with a new excuse as to why my order hasn't been sent to me.

UPDATE - since writing this review the remainder of my order has been delivered to me quickly and the team at Bera Designs were understanding of my frustration and worked to resolve it.

The lift top mechanism is so light that


The lift top mechanism is so light that I can go from laptop table to dining table with one hand. The three different height settings are great for work, kids' activity time and dinners. The product arrived fully assembled, securely packaged with corner protectors, not a scratch on it.

Poor quality for the cost

Delay in delivery which was ok once I had confirmation there was a problem but it took me to contact them
Scratches on some surfaces,
Missing screws
For the money the coffee table / dining table just isn’t worth it. We’ve put it together now and whilst it looks ok in the room, up close you can see the flaws of which there are a few
So disappointing as I really had high hopes for something that was nearly £300

Not delivering on their promise

The table is in working order but the experience dealing with this company has been so bad I've been wondering if they're a hoax. I do NOT recommend Bera Designs. I ordered my table on 16 Feb, I still haven't got what I had ordered over 2 months later. The wrong base had been sent. I was sent another one but it was damaged. I had to enquire several times, there was always an excuse: the delivery company couldn't find the address, the supplier sent the wrong colour, I was promised the correct shipment again and again. Now I give up, I'll just cover it with something. There's no point contacting their customer support as they never delivered on their promise. All in all a stressful and horrendous experience, which is such a shame as the tables seem really nice.

Avoid this company

I ordered the Zen coffee table on February 10th, 2025. At the time of purchase, the estimated delivery date was clearly listed as March 8th-9th (I have a screenshot for reference). This date was crucial, as I needed the table before March 20th. After waiting with no updates, I reached out on March 17th for an update. Two days later, I was told there had been an “error with the estimated delivery date” and that my order wouldn’t be ready until the first week of April.

While I was understandably disappointed, I decided to stick with my order, clearly stating that if the table wasn’t ready by April 1st, I expected a full refund. The company reassured me that my order would be prioritized, and I agreed to this new timeline.

Then, on March 25th, I received an unexpected refund notification from PayPal, with no explanation whatsoever—completely contradicting the prior agreement. When I contacted the company, their response was unprofessional and vague. They claimed they were “unsure” of what happened and that the situation was “beyond their control” — even though they couldn’t even explain what the situation was. To make matters worse, they promised they were looking into it “immediately” and would get back to me “ASAP.” Well, it’s now been several days with no follow-up. Do they even know what “immediately” means?

After waiting nearly two months, this entire experience has been nothing short of frustrating. This company clearly cannot fulfill a simple online purchase. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this business at all costs and recommend sticking to reputable companies.

I am reluctant to write this review


I am reluctant to write this review because it will not be a nice review. Unfortunately, after some time from the purchase, I am still very dissatisfied with the entire experience of buying at Bera Design. I will start with the nice and positive aspects. Mrs. Eleanor, who was kind enough to write to me words of thanks for my purchase and asked for feedback if a situation required it. That was definitely nice and positive. Then: customer service and the quality of the conversation with Mrs. Michelle goes far beyond politeness and professionalism. Before the purchase, when I asked a questions, I was already treated unpleasantly. The lady was impatient with my questions and quickly dismissed me, not having the patience to answer my questions. Another thing: the package was supposed to be with me within a week, but it took longer. The package was delivered, but no one knew where. I waited at home all day and nothing, and the package was supposedly delivered somewhere. I contacted the company many times and again I was dismissed: using very political words to keep me quiet, and I began to be very afraid that this company is a scam and does not have any table or money. Again I was met with cold and unsympathetic customer service. Then the package was found after a few days and someone brought it to me but the whole boxes were damaged and torn. The coffee table itself looks good but unfortunately I had to improvise a bit and use some screws from my collection because the ones originally sent with the table did not fit. The coffee table looks good after all and was not damaged which makes me very happy and is another positive aspect. Then I wrote an email to Eleanor who was nice and I complained about the whole experience and never got a reply. Again I was ignored. I am terribly disappointed with this company. The fear is growing that you cant trust and rely less and less on online purchases because of such poor experiences.

Worst customer service ever

Ordered a table more than a month ago.

Firstly, after multiple delays in the delivery, the FedEx driver eventually did ring the doorbell of my flat. He then proceeded to wait a total of 10 seconds before walking off. From the intercom I could barely make out if there was any tables with him from where I could see, he just rang the doorbell and walked off.

Following this they sent the tables to the FedEx warehouse where I was able to pick it up from. I say tables because I was provided four boxes as opposed to two which I was anticipating. I assumed that I had made a mistake when reading and that I was actually meant to receive four boxes, so I took them and brought them back to my house.

It turns out that one of them was for another customer and the one that was actually addressed to me was the wrong table design.

After an email exchange of over 40 emails the most recent email, the gentleman attempted to convince me that actually they had sent me the right table.

They showed a huge amount of eagerness to collect the two tables that they mistakenly sent to me however, have been dragging their heels when it comes to discussing actually fulfilling my order and any form of compensation for the terrible experience.

Multiple times they've tried to push me towards accepting a refund. But that leaves me without a table. It gives the impression that I was happy with everything else, just not quite the table. This is not the case

The organisation was so keen to respond to emails when it came to picking up their tables but now after four emails I've only received one response.

The table itself seems sturdy, but my recommendation is you pray that you receive the correct order because in terms of customer service, you'll be dealing with a bunch of cowboys.

I'm in need of the table and even after after giving them ample amount of time to deliver the table they waited until today (the rearranged delivery date for the table I actually ordered) to tell me that due to lighting it can cause the designs to look slightly different.

I wish I could attach the pictures that I shared with them of the picture on the website and the design that I received.

All of a sudden, I get an email from someone called Eleanor claiming to be the director saying that they will issue a refund immediately and cancel the delivery that I have been waiting at home all day to receive.

Update:
No effort was made. Every effort was made to recover the tables they sent me and then try and be away with me with a refund.
No offers of compensation were made, just that "we can discuss later" after they got their table back. I'm surprised you responded to this review. You have not responded to any of my previous emails. Interesting.

Had this review supported pictures I would have loved to share the completely different designs of table that were sent to me and they tried to tell me this is due to "lighting and angles"

A lot more could be said about the poor service. I was told that a Mr Burgas would call me, a bit of digging showed me this is the director of the company, still no call from this Mr Burgas however.

This company had me running around for over a month (order was placed 18th Feb) and they cancelled my order without asking me yesterday (24 March)

Very surprised you are implying I was rude. When everyone I spoke to via email, be it Michelle, Muhammad, Andrew (who seemed to be the most helpful actually - organising for my table to be delivered yesterday) or yourself (who in about 5 minutes undid all of Andrew's work). Everyone talked about how I had been very patient with you.

In any case, as explained in my last email to you, I will see you in court. I really wish it didn't have to go this way. From what I could see, the product was really good.

Just received my convertible coffee /


Just received my convertible coffee / dining table from Bera Designs.
From selection through delivery I cannot fault this company. My first consideration when buying online is how quick my questions & enquiries are answered. Wow! No worries there! Fantastic communications which means if I have a problem I'm confident it's going to get sorted.
The product is an absolute boon for us who don't formally entertain anymore, stay sat in comfy chairs and friends equally so. The construction is sturdy, the mechanism is easy to change to the various settings and the whole item is well made and attractive.
Very happy all round. Have no fear dealing with this company.

Ordered an expanding table on the


Ordered an expanding table on the understanding that it would take a few days but in fact took around a month to deliver and when delivery was made was not aware that the the majority of the table had to be home assembly which took around four hours..we feel misled as there was no mention of self assembly on the advertising
e.mails that were sent were not very understanding to our plight of when the table would arrive admitting that when we did receive information of our delivery it was as stated..e mails from a Michele were very abrupt and not very understanding especially to elderly people with disabilities..if this is how you expect to build your business then further training needs to be adopted

Disappointed

They did refund me promptly once I made clear I was aware of my rights as a consumer. (It's currently pending on PayPal - so I say this in good faith).
I would advise if you do shop here pay by credit card or PayPal so you have more rights should anything happen. NOT that I'm saying it will, but just in case.

Pleasantly Surprised

Pleasantly surprised. I saw the table I wanted on Wayfair but didn’t want to spend the £450 and found the identical table on Bera Design. With a 10% discount code it was £270. I was a bit hesitant due to the reviews but decided to make my own mind up and I’m glad I did. My table was delivered within 2 days. Assembly was easy although the instructions could have been a little clearer. With regards to quality, I would have been unhappy if I had paid more than I did as it is veneer rather than real wood, but due to its beautiful design and extending function (it changes from a coffee table into a dining table) I am satisfied that it was worth the money. All parts were present, it is sturdy and the elevating and extending functions work well. I would shop here again and recommend potential customers to make their own judgement.

Frustratingly, I only saw these reviews after purchasing. I purchased a table with express delivery which said it would deliver within 2 days and it didn't. I then contacted to say that if the table was going to be delivered much later than expected it would need to be delivered to my new address as we were moving - I wouldn't have bothered ordering to my old address if I knew that express delivery wasn't even an option (they said it wasn't and that it was an error that it was given as an option). I said to refund the item instead, as they hadn't shipped it, and I was concerned after seeing these reviews in the interim. I was right to be concerned, as it's been over 2 weeks and I still haven't received my refund. I have contacted every single day and each time they respond it's yet another reason why the refund hasn't been processed yet. I was initially told 7 days max, and it has now been 14.

I wanted to return item as I didn’t


I wanted to return item as I didn’t realise it was flatpack . I purchased on my phone and didn’t see that .They made it damn near impossible to return and were very rude. I got a friend to build it ..he used to teach woodwork and technical subjects 
it took 3 hours to build and he said fixings were very poor quality and instructions horrendous . Legs are cheap and nasty too ! Overall a very poor experience
