I deposited money on BetPortal using myâŠ
I deposited money on BetPortal using my Visa card. The payment was processed by Wert.
From the customer perspective, the transactions appeared to be standard Visa card payments and included normal card authorisation details. However, when I later contacted my bank (Revolut) regarding chargeback protection, I was informed that the transactions had effectively been treated as transfers/crypto-related payments rather than standard card purchases.
Because of this, the bank refused the chargeback claim.
I later received transaction details showing that the funds were actually routed to a crypto wallet/address connected with the payment flow. This information was never clearly presented during the payment process from the customer side.
This raises serious concerns regarding:
* payment transparency,
* transaction classification,
* crypto-related processing hidden behind standard card payments,
* and consumer protection mechanisms.
I also noticed that identity verification was not required before deposits and gameplay, but verification documents were suddenly requested only after complaints and payment disputes were raised.
Communication became very limited afterwards.
The payment processor involved was Wert (wert.io).
I strongly advise other users to carefully review how deposits are processed before sending funds to this casino.
