Satisfied Customer

I bought a replacement cover for my Jacuzzi but made an error on one of the measurements I submitted for the custom build of the cover. Realized this only when the cover was delivered. Contacted Beyond.com and asked about getting a replacement to correct my error that would make the fit less efficient for maintaining the spa as efficient as possible. Daniel worked with me to get another cover made to the correct specifications. There was an additional but quite reasonable charge for the replacement. Delivered pretty quickly with free shipping and no requirement to return the original cover. Good communication and very high quality product!

Rock Solid

I went waaaay too long in replacing my old hot tub cover. When it would rain or snow it would get waterlogged and weigh a ton. All the straps broke and I was left holding it down with heavy rocks I would have to take off and put back on each time.

Ordering was super easy. The cover fits perfectly. Shipping and delivery was much quicker than expected. I now have a new hot tub cover that looks better, performs better, and is much lighter to boot.

I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase my next hot tub cover from Beyond Nice - a wonderful experience all the way around. I wish I did it years ago!

I recently purchased a 95" x 95" spa


I recently purchased a 95" x 95" spa cover that folds in the middle, and my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. When placing the order, I overlooked selecting "truck" shipping, which resulted in the cover being sent to me in 12 separate UPS boxes. Instead of a functional spa cover, I now have what feels like a jigsaw puzzle that’s completely impractical.

The pieces don’t assemble into a sturdy cover, meaning it cannot support ice or snow, which is a critical need for winter. To make matters worse, when I tried to resolve the issue, I couldn’t get a hold of an actual person to talk to. Instead, I was directed to a chat representative who simply told me that I had clicked the "acknowledge" button at checkout and that was the end of the discussion.

This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied. The shipping instructions weren’t clearly communicated, the product is unusable as intended, and the lack of customer support added insult to injury. I cannot recommend this product or company unless significant improvements are made to their shipping, communication, and customer service.

We understand that Mr. Colbert is frustrated with the parcel delivery cover design he received. We created it for our customers to help avoid freight damage and eliminate the need to be home for delivery. He acknowledged the details of the cover design by checking a box to confirm that it would be determined by the shipping method he selected. He then chose FedEx as the shipping option.

The word "assemble" is used multiple times (six, in fact) to describe the design of the parcel option, and we made sure it was clearly emphasized in the product description. This was not hidden information.

To clarify, the foams in the cover are made of smaller pieces that are supported by Extreme Beams. This makes the cover stronger than even a 2.0# density foam cover but without adding extra weight. It also performs well in snow and ice conditions. The foam pieces are carefully inserted into the vinyl exterior, which is then zipped shut—much like a pillowcase.

While the cover Mr. Colbert received may not have been what he expected, we did deliver exactly what was specified based on his selections. It's worth noting that Mr. Colbert did not reach out to us with any questions or concerns about the cover's design or differences before placing his order, and we feel that this was a simple misunderstanding.

When we phoned Mr. Colbert to see if we could assist further, we were met with some skepticism and doubt. However, it is important to mention that Mr. Colbert did not express any issues with the cover's quality, only the assembly process.

At BeyondNice, we always strive to ensure our customers are satisfied, and we genuinely wish we could have done more to address his concerns.

Cover is shipped in pieces, assembly is impossible. No customer support.

The hot tub cover arrives in pieces, and must be assembled. The foam pieces don't fit inside the cover, even after heating it up to 90* to soften it. I had to destroy the foam to get it in. Because of this poor fit, there's lots of strain on the zipper, which broke immediately because it's brittle zinc. Customer service was useless. I'm left without a hot tub cover, and without $500.

Here's my exchange with Customer service:
Me: "I tried to in the foam pieces and zip it up, the pull tab on the zipper on the vinyl broke. When I put some twine through the zipper area where the pull tab broke off, the ensure zipper thing that combines the zipper broke off. Please help, this has been very frustrating"
CS: " Sorry you are frustrated. As the instructions from the vinyl box explain, you cannot use the zipper to force close the vinyl. ...we test assemble every cover before we package it to insure it will assemble easily for our customers.If you will ship the vinyl back to us, we will repair or replace the zipper, and return it to you."
Me: "If there's a note about that in the instructions (*note, there isn't), it's not where I could find it (see attached). Will you send a label, or am I expected to pay for shipping?"
CS: "Customers would be responsible for shipping. Unfortunately we don't have different zipper options so we'd replace yours with the same type."

P C, we requested your contact information via TrustPilot, so we could know whom we are dealing with and so we could offer appropriate help. TrustPilot advises they did not receive a reply from you in the time limit they allow. Please contact us directly so we can work with you on the zipper.

The assembly instructions are in the box with the vinyl. It is important not to use the zipper to force close the vinyl. This indicates the foams must not have been pushed in all the way before starting to zip it shut. The zipper sides need to be about 1.5" apart at the most before starting to zip shut. Any more than that suggests the foams need to be more fully inserted before starting to zip.

Order was really easy and what I wanted. When I called to clarify things in my order the rep was super helpful and nice. Got the package through FedEx with some minor damages and they were really helpful in resolving any issue I had with it

Cover is trash after 1 year.

I've been through a few brands of covers on my tub and BeyondNice's has been the worst.

The cover is weakly made and does not seal well. It constantly freezes itself to the lip of the tub during winter. Steam escapes, condenses, and runs down the straps, freezing them to the tub and buckle.

This resulted in the stitching around one strap tearing apart when the cover was just a few months new, and now at the start of the 2nd winter, the other strap has torn itself completely off.

Sometimes it’s worth spending a little more

Let me start by saying a lot of this is my own fault because I just assumed this would be just like my original hot tub cover from the manufacturer. I went with this because it came to a couple hundred less but in retrospect, I should have just ordered the original.
1. The covering is thinner material then my original top. You can upgrade that.
2. The insulation is just Styrofoam, wrapped in thick clear plastic and is supported by a mesh. My original top had mylar film against the hot tub side.
3. This comes to you disassembled and assembly is not as easy as in their video. My wife definitely could not do it and it took some persuasion on my part. The plastic ripped on one corner, and they told me to use plastic shipping tape to fix it. Doesn’t seem like it will last in a covered hot tub but I’m not an expert.
4. My original top was heavy duty. I have two 55 lbs dogs that lay on my hot tub cover, and it supports them no problem. I ordered this one because it was rated at 400 lbs static. They said my dogs laying on it would break it.
5. There is no return policy.
If you do decide to go with these guys, you might win a $100 Amazon card if you write a review. The staff is very nice and responsive. They let you know when the top is be produced and shipped.
In my case, I tried to save a couple bucks, but it didn’t work out. I suggest you contact where you got your hot tub to see how much a replacement top would cost. Sometimes it’s worth paying a little more to get something you know works.

We are surprised by your "review". It is really more of a "worry list" than an actual review of performance over time. Below we shall address your comments individually.

1. Our covering, the exterior vinyl, is made with 28 oz, marine grade vinyl with UV inhibitors. Do not be misled by vinyl thickness, as that is only one of the determining factors in vinyl longevity and wear.

2. All covers are made with EPS foam. We use mesh for superior drainage of condensation to eliminate bacteria and mildew growth inside the cover, otherwise hidden from view.

3. The covers are intended to be tight inside the vinyl, so there are no wrinkles. Some persuasion is typical to get the proper result when assembling.

4. Without knowing the foam density and thickness of your previous cover, it is impossible to compare it's strength with ours. Weight testing our patented Extreme Beam Technology proves our cover is stronger than any other cover! Terrible business - order at your own risk. They shipped me a cover, it arrived damaged, and they did not honor replacing it. Dealing with the owner Dan was an nightmare - rude, arrogant and disrespectful. In the end they never replaced it, despite their terms saying it would be replaced if arrived damaged...and now I'm out $450.

Still waiting on my cover.

Update: 1

Immediately after writing this review Beyond Nice sent me an email. While I do appreciate it that they did, I find it a little disappointing that their reply on here sounds like they are complaining that I left a review. Well, I used the review as a tool to get their attention and it worked. Had they replied to my emails there wouldn't be a need to write a review.

That being said I understand their predicament with the freight company and their effort to get the cover delivered. For that I will raise my rating to 4 stars. All I wanted was for them to respond. Mission accomplished.

I placed an order on October 23, 2021 and today it is almost 3 months (12/22/2021) and I have not received the spa cover. They shipped the cover on 12/9/2021 with an estimated delivery date of December 14, 2021 which came and went. I attempted to call the freight company and the phone rang for ever and no one answered. I sent them an email and they replied saying that the company was going out of business and were hoping to deliver all freight by December 20th. That didn't happen.

I reached out to Beyond Nice on December 17th (email) to see if they could re-route the cover to my vacation home since we left on December 19th from our main home where the spa cover was supposed to be delivered.

Our thought was that in that way we could take delivery without further delay.

Since I didn't get a response from them, I then again emailed them on December 21st, but so far no one from Beyond Nice has responded.

I understand we are in the middle of Christmas week and have no problem waiting.

The main issue is that the freight company is going out of business and the last tracking update on their site is from December 16th. Seems like the freight is stuck in Forth Worth, TX. No one from the freight company has called me to schedule a delivery. The company is Central Freight Lines.

I'm afraid since the freight company is going out of business, my spa cover will remain in limbo and /or will be returned to sender.

The order number is #124953.

I'm hoping that by writing this, Beyond Nice will reach out to me and attempt to figure this out.

I will update as things progress.

I'm giving 2 stars due to the manufacturer being unresponsive and the time it took for them to ship the item.

It is a shame to try to support customers via reviews, but here goes. We made and shipped this buyer's cover in 6 weeks. Our advertised lead time was 6-8 weeks. We performed as advertised.

It left our warehouse on 12/9 with Central Freight. On 12/13 Central Freight announced they were going out of business after 98 years without prior warning. We continue to contact Central to get all our shipments delivered, but receive little to no response. We are working with this buyer and all our customers impacted by their closing. We will be in touch directly to resolve this with this buyer.

Awesome customer service

Ordered a cover fall of 2020. Yes it took a few months but EVERYTHING has a longer lead time these days. Cover arrived with no flaws or damage. Looked great. I did develop an issue (not due to the company or workmanship) Emailed Beyond Nice and they helped me pinpoint the problem. They were SUPER helpful and really stuck with me.. The only reason I ordered specifically this cover is for the reinforced center to use with a cover lift. Our first cover nearly split in half once the seams began to weather. I hope this weathers better. I would highly recommend these covers and the customer service that comes with purchasing one.

Shortly after placing my order I received a very nice letter from the manufacturer which included "time frames" for the PRODUCTION and shipping. (I had also inquired about those timelines prior to placing my order). Unfortunately, I waited and waited and waited for my cover. (Like the rest of the county was the manufacturer having trouble getting employees???? Did they have a huge backlog of orders?) I was FINALLY notified it was going to be made and then I waited and waited again. I WOULD NOT HAVE ORDERED THIS EXCELLENT PRODUCT if I had know HOW LONG it would take. Attempts to contact the company, speak to someone or get a RETURN phone call were unsuccessful. I did get an email that it was "on the list to manufacture". So I just waited some more. It got to the point that I started to wonder if "I got scammed? Did they take my money and I don't get a cover?"
At any rate I finally got this excellent product but if you have any time restrictions on needing a cover 9like the prior one was destroyed and your hot tub is open) this is NOT the place to go.........they are apparently all backed up on manufacturing.

We are really sorry your cover took so long to manufacture. We are suffering with all other businesses due to the lack of people willing to work and with raw material supply chain failures. We truly don't know week in and week out what raw materials we will get and what we won't. That makes forecasting quite difficult obviously. Our lead time is the shortest in the industry, but that is still too long for our typically outstanding and BeyondNice service.

We truly appreciate your mention of our "EXCELLENT PRODUCT" twice as that is what you will have to enjoy for years of use. Perhaps we can be forgiven for the delay some day since you are finally back to tubbing!

Excellent service and product

I see some of the other reviews and I usually don’t leave them but should recount my experience. I ordered the cover after measuring as the instructions say on the website. I waited 4 weeks as the website indicated it would be that long. When it arrived via Dorhn Transfer there were two big punctures going deep into the styrofoam. The driver looked at my wife and said “you aren’t going to like this” and gave her a claim slip without her asking for one. I contacted Beyond Nice and in 1 week got a new cover in perfectly good shape. I ordered the double wrapped one since it was not that much more and EVERY hot tub cover eventually gets wet inside. The cover looks great and fits perfectly. Both Dorhn Transfer and Beyond Nice acted very professionally and delivered to us a quality product. I would certainly use them again.

I rarely leave reviews, but feel strongly enough to let people know DO NOT buy from this company. The spa cover was delivered damaged in a punctured box with the actual spa cover inside also damaged in multiple spots. The delivery driver verified the damage and wrote "hole in box" on the receipt. We ourselves were instructed to write "damage" only on receipt, which we did, but because the driver wrote more than that, Beyond Nice says that voided their damage claim policy. Shocking, you spend good money for something that comes damaged from a shipper they hired and they blame the customer and refuse to provide what you paid for. Order locally and check the BBB site and other online reviews, you'll see this has happened to others. If I could do over, I would order locally.

BeyondNice Hot Tub covers are the best!

We recently purchased a custom made cover for our hot tub and we couldn't be happier! The folks at BeyondNice were fantastic. First of all, the online ordering process was fast and very efficient. We loved that we could use AmazonPay for our purchase. They allowed for total customization. This is what we wanted, as our old cover from another vendor did not fit properly and leaked into the tub constantly when it rained. Second, we received quick response from BeyondNice about the status of our order, including a letter in the mail! Third, we were told to expect 4 weeks for delivery, but we received it in only 2 weeks! The shipping and handling were flawless. The cover fit is perfect. We are completely satisfied with our shopping and purchase experience with BeyondNice and I would highly recommend them if you are in the market for a custom cover. If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

Customer service is fine

Customer service is fine. We received our cover which was made to our specifications. My only comment is the quality seems cheap. It's lightweight and seems as if it would blow off the top if not for the tie down straps or cover lift. Likely they will defend the quality based on my review but we have high standards and should have went with a higher quality product. Our mistake.

After seeing response I will give better rating. I'll give it time . I appreciate you taking the time to respond..

Morris, you are likely confusing the light weight of your NEW cover when comparing to your old cover that was heavy with water weight gain. We get this comment often. ALL new covers are light weight to begin with, until they begin to add weight from water absorption near their end of life.

Further, new cover weight is only a measure of the foam density and not an indicator of overall cover quality or performance. For example, a 4" thick cover made with 2# density foam will weigh more than a 6" thick cover made with 1# density foam. The 6" thick cover will insulate MUCH better, R24 vs R15. This is just one example showing weight is not a complete determinant of cover quality.
