Returns is horrendous and thereâs a charge
They charge for returns, only give 14 days to return and they drag this process so much which eats into your 14 days and you have to print your own labels. I used to shop at BHS and used to regard their service as second to none but now that they have resumed online, service is poor and returns is difficult. I wonât be ordering again no matter how much I like the product.
Don't go to BHS Store in Cheetham Hill! so uncomfortable
(BHS in Cheetham hill on the corner) Went in to browse for our town house were rennovating and I was not left alone. The guy would not leave me in peace to have a look always over my shoulder, such bad sales technique and then when I chose to not buy anything and look online more, the guy got annoyed just because he wasnât getting his commission! so embarrassing. I felt so uncomfortable. Really bad experinece do not go to the one in cheetham hill on the corner! I literally felt sick such a bad atmosphere. such bad sales and people skills. if the customer wants the leave donât make the customer feel bad. so embarrassing.

Unfortunately it was broken. Customer services responded immediately to my email. Sent an apology and a returns label the very next morning (Iâd emailed in the evening) and within days Iâd received a PayPal refund.
Sometimes itâs the way a company handles a complaint that can mean all the difference. 3 stars for the product but 5 stars for customer service.

Had I known they would try to charge me £8.95 to return I would never have ordered. This amount should be clear on their website. They say you can return by your own transportation and as I live nearby I attempted to drop off which they refused to accept! Save yourself time and effort and have peace of mind by purchasing from a reputable retailer that offers free returns.

Ordered a bathroom light but when I received it I decided it wasnât as nice as I thought it was going to be. There was no return slip in the box or instructions on how to return it if it wasnât suitable, damaged etc like you would get normally with an online purchase. I ended up having to email as I cannot hear on the phone. I was told that if I wanted a return it would cos £8.95 for a courier!! Alternatively I could send it by Royal Mail at my own cost. Shocking service and wouldnât use again.

I ordered a chandelier worth of £130 with 24-48HRs delivery. Royal Mail notified me that they delivered the item a couple of days after my order. But I didn't received anything, neither my neighbors. I opened a case with Royal Mail but they said they can't find out what happened because it was during a time when they were not collecting signatures due to covid. I then called BHS customer service to let them know about the situation and request a refund since I never received their product. They said that they would have to also ask Royal Mail what happened even though I had told them Royal Mail's response and gave them the case number I opened with them. They said they would contact me back, it's been weeks nut I no one contacted me. I still don't have my light fittings neither my £130. Please contact me as soon as possible. Edit: After more back and forth, I received my refund so I will change my 1 star to 3 stars
Not great products
I ordered a bathroom light from BHS, when it arrived it was evident that it was not brand new and someone had already used it. They were quick to swap it over for a new one. The new one only had 2 bulbs out of 5 working, I changed the bulbs to see if this was the fault but still not working so there is a fault with the light itself!

I was able to contact the customer service on the contact number provided on two occasions and was reassured this had been passed on to the accounts department.
I have still not received the refund in the allotted time frame given.

They said the piece is missing in my bed, where as all the apartment have the same beds and exactly same structure. Infact, they had picked up one 3-6 months before and had made a good money.
We donate for a good reason, but they are very choosy and you might end up wasting time.

I ordered a daphne 3 light bathroom chandelier for £120 but when it arrived I noticed that on the box it was made by Vela and when I looked online everywhere else was selling them for around £60!!!

I purchased a white duvet cover and pillowcases, but when it arrived the inner packaging was ripped and had dirty marks all over the duvet. Plus I found that it was not a crisp white as shown on the website... disappointed with quality.
The returns procress was easy enough, but you have to wait forever for monies to be refunded. Especially when you can't afford to buy an alternative until money is refunded back into your account. Think I'll stick to the High Street in future.
