BIG BANG! spices レビュー 

Following the curry map has made such a difference to my Indian cooking. Cooking the onions until they are golden, the spices blooming, all such small things that make the difference between hmmm not quite and boom this is fab! I am delighted with my new skills. Thank you so much.

Not read it all yet, but nice layout and information. Was trying to print it off but had printer issues, sooner have hard copy than sit at a screen.

This is a very well laid out and written guide. Fantastic hints and guidance on how to get the correct depth of flavours. A game changer !

I have been cooking curries for a good number of years. Following the tips given have noticablly improved their flavour. Same recepies but a slighhtly different technique

I have been making curries from scratch every week for years. I generally follow a recipe and make my own spice mix as per the recipe. Reading the ebook made me realise that I was not completing the process you describe properly, and with spices that were probably past their best. I ordered a spice box from you and cooked a beef madras curry following the recipe exactly. The resulting curry was so delicious and with a great depth of flavour. Thank you. I will be following your guidelines and using your curry blends from now on.

Great range of spices
Easy to create excellent meals

Surprised to see nobody has reviewed this small company yet as they are fantastic. I came across Big Bang Spices while searching for certain African and Arabic spice blends online, which are very hard to get hold of in most general ethnic shops let alone anywhere more mainstream. I used to get them from eBay but one by one over the years the sellers shut up shop. To my surprise, Big Bang Spices had everything I was looking for plus some other blends I decided to try, and the prices were really reasonable I would say roughly in line with the Bart's range of spices and herbs. The spices did take 5-6 days to arrive which appears to be the typical delivery time according to the website, but were very carefully packaged and boxed and worth the wait.

Just a couple of minor issues I would have liked to buy the Indian blends individually but some were only available at the time of ordering as part of a gift box. Though the only blend I don't like in there is the vindaloo one, so I will have to find someone to give it to. Secondly the Somali Xawaash is a Somali like spice blend but not entirely like THE spice blend famously known as Xawaash, which is a fair bit more complex and has sage and other things in. Still Big Bang's version has great flavour and is very versatile. Overall I am very happy with the spice blends from here and will have no problem using them up within the suggested shelf life time frame, in fact it would be great if there was the option of a refill pouch or a larger sized container in the spice blends because I had to buy 2 or 3 jars of some knowing how much I get through.
