Good tour and entertaining guides. Definitely do again.

The Big Bus Tour was a last minute decision with a group of friends and we had an absolute blast! It was very informative and our tour guide Dexter was extremely personable. The operation was run smoothly and it is definitely something that everyone of all ages can enjoy. Highly recommend!

The tour was great, the guide was excellent, knowledgeable, funny and just made this a great experience. I really like the hop on hop off feature that really allowed for me to visit the city.

Not as good as expected. Wait time for buses was exceedingly long. When they did arrive, they all were full and people were competing for seats on the top decks. If you were on the bottom, it was very hot, no air conditioning. And, very loud on the diesel buses. We struggled to hear the tour guide. Furthermore, one of the buses we were on had a screened ad covering all the windows downstairs. Ridiculous!! It's a tour bus! If you were stuck downstairs it was hard to see out the windows! Would look at other options.

The bus tour provided us with a good oversight of sites in Philadelphia. Our guide, Dexter, was excellent.

Truly a let down. So disappointed with the lack of ac on a hot day, smelly bus and awful customer service when we decided to get off to find out about other options that we took a cab home

Loved the staff and the ease of getting around with no issues at all.

As a Philly girl all my life I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy the tour for our out of town guests...truth is..we loved it..seriously enjoyed it....We're considering doing the nite tour just for us before the summer is over.
I wish I could remember the name of the guide for the major part of our tour ( we started at Reading Terminal then had to change buses at the regular starting point) he was fabulous..perfect combination of info and humor. The 2nd guy...ok..he did have a lot of info..but something about his presentation just felt like it was rote...Like it was so over rehearsed and he could think about other things while he was talking..lol
I would really recommend this for visitors..take a ride round and figure out where you want to hop off on another round...and even for Philly people who for the most part like me, haven't really done the Philly sites since grade school...get up on that upper level and witness your city like a visitor...We felt it was worth the price...

We've been on the big bus tours in a number of cities. They never disappoint! Best way to get a feel for the city and see all the main attractions. All guides and drivers were great.

The tour guides were awesome and very helpful. This is the best way to get around a big city and see all the sights.

Glad u asked. I booked the tour and then had an issue and tried to cancel it. My niece got sick after lunch and we never used the tix. Tried several times to connect with a human to REFUND and failed.

I would recommend this tour. Guides were very knowledgeable. Did not wait long for buses. Overall experience was great. A great way to get around Philadelphia.

We had a lovely day hoping on & off the Big Bus. All drivers were very good. One guide was weak enough but the others made up for him. One word of warning. We parked near the Please Touch Museum & got the shuttle bus to the start of the tour. We did not realise that the shuttle bus finishes earlier than the Big Bus so when we had done enough touring we had no way back to the car. However the tour guide on the last bus arranged with another bus driver to drop us back to the car. For that alone they deserve 5 stars in my eyes! Thank you Big Bus Tours.

Enjoyed the experience. We only had part of Friday and it was well-spent. Guides were pleasant and full of interesting knowledge and trivia. Only had one stop where the wait was 30 minutes They were very apologetic and blamed it on traffic. The rest of the route was on schedule. Would do it again and get off at more stops when we have more time.

We live locally and we booked a tour with BigBus to tour Philadelphia. I regularly use BigBus around the world, and I was truly disappointed with this tour which failed to meet even the most minimal of standards. A few things that went completely wrong:
-- Buses were badly spaced. We waited in blistering heat for over 45 minutes and finally gave up and walked all the way to the beginning point. Once there, we sat on a bus for nearly 30 minutes more when another bus broke down and someone in a wheelchair needed to transfer to our bus.
In the meantime, the other three buses sat in the queue. In fact, there were 4 buses lined up, waiting to leave which explains why there were excessive waits at the other stops on the route. It especially made NO sense on a blisteringly hot day.
-- The tour failed to mention that the London type buses had NO Air Conditioning! It was unbearable and the buses with AC were jammed, so on a few stops we had to wait for a few buses to get a seat.
-- At the start of the tour, we wanted to go to the Philly Cheesesteak stop and the tour person told us that she would drive us in a free shuttle to any stop. Once in the van, we realized that van's AC was not working properly so it had to be about 115 degrees in the van! Two of us nearly passed out from the heat since we could not even open the windows. It was nearly 100 degrees outside that day, so having a van with poor AC is a very bad idea.
-- The audio on the bus was impossible to hear on the first floor and the ear phones were not working.
-- The buses were dirty and at the end of the tour, no one seemed to care about cleaning up.

Frankly, we got completely ripped off. For the price, we spent most of our time waiting for a bus!

I regularly have visitors from overseas, other parts of the country, etc. and I trusted BigBus. This was the worse one I have ever experienced. Compare that to our experience a few weeks later visiting NYC. The tour (not BigBus) was wonderful, clean, spaced out, great tour guides, etc., etc. The Philly tour needs a complete overhaul. BigBus is better than this...

This trip was my first trip to Philadelphia and it was memorable. My tour guide who name was "Z" was very knowledge and kept us entertained the entire tour. It rained and she kept us smiling through rain and shine. My issue was the size of the bus, the flow between the levels and the fact we did not know the time tours were over. We had to call the main office because at almost 6 pm, we thought it was still operating. I am from NYC so I assumed it would not end so early. I was mistaken. Luckily, they allowed my party to use the tickets we purchased for the night tour. I was scared someone would slip on the steps being that it rained. I myself have a disability so it is hard to do stairs but the lower level was to crammed. It did stop raining so Z wiped off seats for us to sit on the top deck. It would be better if we knew what time the tours ended before buying tickets so we can plan accordingly. All in all, I would do this tour again.

We really enjoyed the tour as the tour guides were very knowledgeable.
