Clare was an incredibly helpful and thoughtful tutor. She was very much well versed about each topic in the A-level specification and able to adapt to each students' differing requirements.

Clare’s masterclasses are amazing! She condenses the content down into the most important parts whilst also going into detail. I particularly liked the insect exchange and mass transport as I found going over insect gas exchange was really useful and also looking back over the heart as it can be really confusing

The masterclasses are extremely helpful!
They are always structured well and are very helpful as it explains a topic and condenses it into key points for the exam in just 2 hours! I would highly recommend this course if you are struggling to reach your full potential in biology :)

Super helpful! Effective lesson that clears a lot of misconceptions on the topics. It is also very engaging, making me actively aware what parts of the course I’m lacking in. Furthermore, any questions I had could be answered immediately and clearly. Very productive and made me feel a lot more comfortable with biology! Practice and explanation on exam questions in the class helped a lot too as taking biology exams relies a lot on hitting mark scheme.

I had a great experience in the Neuronal Communication Masterclass! The concepts were explained very well, and the use of diagrams and analogies really helped me visualise them. I also liked how exam technique was a big theme, and I think this was very helpful as I do tend to struggle with this in exams. I liked the handouts that Clare provided and the notes were very concise and had no waffle! I felt very engaged in the masterclass and I found this topic very fascinating and enjoyable to learn! I'm feeling so confident with Biology now! :)

This course has helped me so much, even in the short time I’ve been doing it. The teaching is fantastic and really helpful in making sure you know not just the content but how to apply it to exam questions, which I something I was really struggling with. And the constant reminder to keep up with habits along with Power Hour every Sunday to just keep you focused on any piece of work has been really helpful and just one of the many reasons I have been able to jump up two grades!

The advice and encouragement on good habits and techniques is something that I have found very useful within this course. Additionally, the weekly mental fitness videos gives me extra support on ensuring I maintain a a good work ethic. As well as this, whilst doing this course I have discovered that Clare teaches me the hard concepts of biology in a way that I can easily grasp the topics. This is something that is benefiting me greatly!

I find the classes very helpful as we go over topics that I have done already in school which strengthens my knowledge and we also go over new topics which helps me feel more confident in school. I also find the support sessions really helpful as they are held a few times a week and I can get help if there is anything I’m struggling with. Sometimes we do practice questions in the classes is good because I can see where I am at and get feedback on how to answer questions

iI feel like i have made a good amount of progress since joining the online study. my main influential aspects for this is the easy access to the previous lessons to be able to strengthen my knowledge and the friendliness of Clare to help whenever it is needed.

Clare really helps to develop a good understanding of the content and how to apply this to exam questions.

The course is extremely helpful for both cementing my knowledge whilst also helping me get ahead. I enjoy attending sessions as they are always productive and informative.

I love how interactive the course is and the amount is support there is. The support sessions are constantly running and they’re are extremely helpful and I feel comfortable asking for help. The power hour is very unique to this course and is so helpful and allows me to get an hour of focused work done. The notes are also very detailed and the lessons aren’t rushed so I feel like i’m able to understand and process the information. Overall it is great!

This course has given me so much confidence going into my lessons and exams and I feel much more prepared when I have to revise as I have resources that can help me. I find the content a lot more easier to manage and I can understand it a lot more easily with the help of these sessions.

Since starting the course, I have found that my confidence has greatly increased when answering exam questions. This is due to the amazing support I’ve received throughout the weeks. Each session is carefully designed to achieve effective revision while also building fundamental skills for answering exam questions.

Since starting my lessons with Biology by Clare, I have become a lot more consistent with my exam technique as well as my active recall skills, which can only be credited to the voice memo activity that Miss Clare encourages students to do. It helps me focus on the specific wording that I need for questions as well as giving me a resource to fall back on whenever I have the time. The sessions are extremely helpful as we are interesting analogies and mnemonics to enable myself and the other students to understand new content as well as content from previous years. Mental fitness and the support sessions both inspire me to keep working on my Biology skills despite having thought that I couldn’t achieve more than a C at A-level. Miss Clare’s can-do attitude makes her easy to approach with difficult questions and her guidance ensures that no one in the sessions is left behind!

The course has been great i’ve seen so much progress from starting year 13 content and the improvement in my understanding and grades. The thing that’s helped me the most is the habits which Clare provides that are easy to implement and truly work! Within the course there’s so much more than just biology such as the weekly mental fitness which has changed my perspective and kept my motivation going. The live sessions offer in depth teaching and Rob is always willing to answer our questions and makes us think outside the box when approaching exam questions!!

My experience at Biology by Clare has been very positive and helpful. Some of the things that I like the most is are the resources and the sessions. The resources are nicely summarized which ensures that I know everything for that specific topic. In the sessions Clare guides us through the content at good pace to make sure we understand the information. Once a week we go through the exam questions related to that topic so that we know how apply the knowledge to questions.

I feel more comfortable in biology now after joining the course and starting to enjoy the contents. The supports are very well planned and I have learnt a lot from it. Rob teaches very well and provides us very detailed explanation when have questions.

Instead of just teaching the content and leaving us to it, Clare makes sure to check up on us regularly to make sure we are completing the work and staying on top of our habits. All of the support sessions that are available throughout the week are super helpful and are also taught by mentors who go above and beyond when teaching. The weekly mental fitness videos are perfect for helping us stay motivated and providing us with tips and tricks for things most students struggle with (e.g. time management, good revision techniques)- what's great is that it can also be applied to other subjects, not just biology!

I used to dread my biology lessons and now I look forward to learning it every day wether I have a lesson or not! This course has helped me out so much, over the past few months using the habits and attending all classes has helped me understand everything better, and approach exam questions a lot easily!! My tutor is Rob, and I am eternally grateful for him. His way of explaining things is brilliant, and his way of teaching and involving everyone in the sessions is very helpful. It makes sure we’re always focused and we’re constantly engaging!
