Absolutely utter rubbish.
Absolutely disgraceful. This company is nothing more than a cashâgrab operation, and they donât even try to hide it. They let me order a measly three packets of crisps, slapped £10 postage on the order, and thenâsurprise, surpriseâa full week later, nothing has arrived.
Their soâcalled âcustomer serviceâ is a joke. I contacted them, and the staff were completely useless. Iâve emailed three times and havenât had a single reply. Not one. Itâs beyond incompetent; itâs downright disrespectful.
Honestly, avoid this company at all costs. Check my other reviewsâthis isnât an isolated incident. Itâs happening all over Britain. The same pattern: terrible service, zero communication, phones never answered, emails ignored. Itâs a nationwide embarrassment.
The whole thing makes my blood boil.

False promises, plain lies, no accountability
9/11/25 - I ordered 6x avocado oil, 2x olive oil in a sale they had. Paid for it and thought it was all sorted. Delivery expected in maybe 1 week........
12/11/25 - Biona wrote to me saying they can only give me 4 avocado oils as there is a limit on 4 per customer and THEIR website was not accurately configured to limit how many we could order. They said they would refund 2x Avo oils and not send them.
12/11/25 - I replied asking if it's possible to replace the 2 Avos with 2 olive oils as I would have bought 4 Olive & 4 Avo had I known i was limited to 4 per product, which I could not know because their website allowed me to order 6x avo oils with no issue.
13/11/25 - Biona said they would send 4x olive oils and 4x avocado oils (all proven via email) and refund shipping and give me 1000 loyalty points as compensation.Â
21/11/25 - i finally received confirmation the shipment was sent.
22/11/25 - I received the delivery almost 2 weeks after ordering. And of course the two extra olive oils promised as a swap were not provided, however they managed to remember to remove the 2 avocado oils and they DID NOT refund me them either, nor the shipping fee as promised!! I emailed them to advise of this.
24/11/25 - they said as its a large order, it may come in 2 deliveries and to wait... there was only ONE shipping order so this didnt make sense but I trusted and waited. I replied saying thanks and chased up the refunds again as the rep did not respond to my questions about the refund in the last emailÂ
5/12/25 - radio silence, no reply, no refund, no olive oils. I emailed to chase again.
9/12/25 - I called via phone as my emails were being ignored. I spoke to a woman who said "it appears we must not have amended your order and so sent out 6x avo oils as you purchased." She said there was no separate shipment with the olive oils.
I said "you absolutely did not, you made no mistake in removing the 2 avo oils and whilst packing my shipment did NOT issue the olive oils as promised, nor did you refund me for the 2 avo oils which you never sent me, nor the shipping fee as promised."Â
She apologised and refunded the cost of the 2 oils and the shipping and said they cannot give me the Italian Olive Oil as it is out of stock.Â
I said that's your concern, not mine. I wasn't just promised them, I was literally told to patiently wait as they're coming in a separate shipment , which was a fabrication. Which allowed time for them to become sold out. They also sell Greek Olive Oil so I said that's fine with me instead, Olive Oil is olive oil. And I expect it at the discounted price which was on offer to me when I put the order in. I said I'm happy to wait for the other oil to come back in stock. I'm being flexible even after the way I've been treated.
She said she would check with colleagues/management about how they can get me the oil and call me back shortly.
1/1/26 - no call back was ever made, no email, no reply to my earlier email that went unanswered. Again, totally ignoring me.
So now I'm going to look into next steps, i.e. Trading Standards or whoever the relevant bodies after. I expect meaningful compensation after all this.
I have used Biona for the entire year
I have used Biona for the entire year, purchasing drinks every single month, a total of £150 monthly spent on biona products.
the previous delivery , items were missing. I sent an email and they ignored it.
today, 12 /12/2025 , I am gutted by the failed delivery system. DPD have literally lied by saying that I was not in.
I was up at 8:30am
I sat by the window awaiting DPD AT 8:35
DPD sent me message at 8:44 saying I was not in which is so untrue.
they also used the same photo of yesterday to justify the big lie and make it look as if the driver came and that i was not in.
I rung DPD 8:44 and they were not that helpful saying they have split my parcels to different drivers!!
i asked if they can redeliver today, they said no, I have to wait until monday.
I am now doing research on other organic companies who have a robust delivery system
Weevils in Five Bags of Organic Basmati Rice
I have been a loyal Biona customer for years, my cupboards are stocked with so many of their products.
Two weeks ago I opened five bags of basmati rice one after another and every single one had a weevil infestation with all bags dated 2027.
I emailed Biona who initially said they checked with their production facility and my experience was a one off. Well go and read Ocado's reviews for this product (where I bought it) it's been an ongoing problem with people reporting weevil infestations.
I chased them up again and said I was not happy, even sending them screenshots of the Ocado reviews. They came back and said they would investigate further and this is their reply:
"We have now heard back from our Quality Control Manager at the partner production site, who has checked our control samples for this batch of Biona Organic Brown Basmati Rice and they have found there to be no quality issues or abnormalities. From the images you very helpfully provided, these are SPI (Stored product insect) associated with agri-products and especially sensitive to organic produce"
I DO NOT think weevils is acceptable in a product and reading the Food Standards Agency website neither do they, so they will be next port of call.
I will never buy this rice again and it's a shocking response from a company who I had high regard for but no longer sadly!

Always loved the products from Biona, my personal and also a family fav has always been the tart cherry juice! Couldnât recommend it enough!
Terrible service
I paid for 3â5 day postage, yet my order was not even dispatched until five days later. When it finally arrived, only half of the items were included. The products I did receive had very short expiry dates, none of which were disclosed at the time of ordering.
Attempts to contact the company about the delay, missing items, and undisclosed expiry dates were completely ignored. The lack of communication, combined with misleading shipping claims and an incomplete order, reflects extremely poor service.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this company. There are clear issues with reliability, transparency, and customer care that need urgent improvement.

They had a promotion on olive oil so ordered and paid for quite a few bottles. Then 4 days later an email. You've ordered too many. We will not send them all. No refund yet. I buy their cherry juice normally. Won't bother again

Took for 2 months, and nothing seemed different. No weight loss. I would not purchase again.
No customer service
6 days have passed since placing my first (and last) order with Biona. Incorrect tracking provided initially. Current tracking still shows me nothing in terms of when (or IF, I am now speculating) I will receive my order. Such a shame that I would prefer to spend my money direct with Biona than go through a tax-dodging corporation like Amazon. I hope for their sake that this is not an example of the standard customer experience for Biona customers or their online business won't be around for long.

All the items I ordered from Biona arrived well-packaged and in excellent condition. I'm very satisfied with the quality of the organic produce they offer. I would definitely recommend them.
Half a bottle received
If you were lucky to receive your BIONA order undamaged, donât assume the same next time. Many customers, including myself, have reported leaking bottles with loose lids for the last 2 years. Unfortunately, it seems this feedback is being ignored. I received a soaked box just yesterday, stained with juice with only half of a bottle remaining. And not because of transport issues, just because of the wrong concept of securing the lid by the manufacturer.

Excellent company
I donât know what is up with these other reviews. Biona has always been excellent, I order from the site and their stuff is always well packaged, glass items are carefully packed. Never have arrived smashed.
They pride themselves on being organic and it shows with quality products, and I believe they are true to their ethos. I particularly like their olive oil, you can tell itâs good quality because it leaves the peppery after burn in the back of your throat!
I've drunk many bottles of Biona TartâŠ
I've drunk many bottles of Biona Tart Cherry Juice, usually buying 6 at a time. The last batch had a brown film deposit on the inner surface of the bottles and the juice looked darker, had a sediment and tasted different. Biona told me it was sediment and that their Quality Assurance Team checked every batch to ensure top quality. Sediment forms at the bottom of a container, it does not deposit all over the sides. I suspect the juice has oxidised due to incorrect storage. Well this batch was not top quality.
However, I was eventually refunded and I have spent the refund on more cherry juice.

I am a big fan of their red lentil pasta, which tastes like regular pasta but gives extra protein, and a fan the 100% cranberry juice. Easy ordering process & prompt delivery.
