They were very friendly but not pushy. When there was a slight problem the store manager dealt with the confusion immediately. The installer was fantastic, friendly and not messy.

My experience with Blinds to Go was very frustrating. The people I dealt with personally, at the Kitchener showroom and in our home (the installer), were great. They were very polite and knowledgeable. But the company was dreadful. The order took 7 weeks (ie to cut the blinds to size; some delay due to COVID is to be expected but this struck me as extreme). Then when the blinds finally arrived, the store called to schedule an appointment for installation. The earliest appointment was in two weeks. An installer arrived (two weeks later) but said he was there to measure, not install. (The store scheduled the wrong job.) He told us to call the store to reschedule. And so we were forced to wait another two weeks. I drove to the store to pick up temporary paper blinds because we had removed our old blinds the day before thinking we would have the new ones installed. The store made attempts to have the installer come sooner (after I called and insisted they do so), but it was still 9-10 days before he could fit us in. When he arrived he said he was given the wrong bracket for one of the blinds (it is a three panel window) and so we waited again for another 7 days for that to come in. And we had to phone him to remind him since the store had no idea of any of this (he came, as far as I know, on his own time because he was over-scheduled). We ordered the blinds in August. They were finally installed in November. I would never use Blinds to Go again.

I want to give them 5 stars but cannot. Everything was perfect with my new bedroom blind except there is a snag/flaw in the fabric which is only noticeable in the daylight. I called the store. They told me they would have to send the blinds out to be replaced and I would be without them for at least a week. I already waited many weeks after ordering and don’t want to wait more. I cannot understand why they couldn’t just replace the roll.

The blinds we bought are horrible, I would have preferred the material ones but did not come in the colour I wanted. I wish the sales employee knew more about the plastic ones that we ended up buying. They are horrible they clank loud, annoyingly when patio door is open. They get stuck together.
Waste of money do not buy.
We have to replace these blinds In the near future with the fabric Kind that I originally wanted. I will just have to settle for a different colour.

They look ok, and cover the windows but that’s about it. You get what you pay for. The winding mechanism operation is intermittent, some days they work well, others not so much. If they get pulled all the way out while trying to get them to wind up they can pull off the spool seemingly due to weak adhesive. Customer service has attempted to resolve by giving tips, has fixed the obvious deficiencies we had with two blinds. Will spend more money on a better product in future.

The blinds are beautiful. Quality. Excellent product. The gentleman who came to measure was excellent. The sales lady was cheery and pleasant- but. She saw the photos I had of the window casing & the measurements. She was VERY confident, in fact positive that I could do the inside the frame. I was very near spending $400 based on her confidence. Fortunately, I decided to get auto opener- which meant that I had to have an installer come. I couldn’t do what I planned. Price went up $75 - measurements all changed. Had I not opted for auto, an installer wouldn’t have come & I would have spent $400 on a useless blind. So, hire the installer!!

UPDATE: It is now 6 months since we ordered our blinds and our last blind was supposed to be installed today (Thursday February 18) between 12:00p-1:00p because it was made incorrectly last week. 1:00p came and went so I called the Kitchener location and they said that they were coming tomorrow instead and that I was to have been informed. I was not. I received a message about installation on January 16 and I called and we arranged for installation on January 18. I did not receive another call about changing it to the Friday. So now I was phoned again after prompting by Deanna at the Kitchener store and the blind is now not going to be installed until Wednesday February 24!! Plus the blind that was installed in the attic last week is not working properly. Again Deanna at the Kitchener location has been great and this is not her fault but there have been so many things go wrong with this order since August 11 that it is a bit ridiculous now.
It is now nearly 6 months since we ordered and we still do not have two sets of our blinds. We had a phone call from BTG today and they thought our installation was complete. As you can read in the review below we thought that this was being taken care of but apparently not as we were told that no orders were placed after the 2 sets of blinds did not fit when the installer was here on December 23. I updated this review on December 24 as per their request with the order number below. I am at a loss. (BTW the young woman was very nice on the phone today. I knew this was not her fault but my frustration did arise)
Order No: 699217. And we do not want repaired blinds we would prefer new blinds be made. We did not break the blinds. They arrived that way.
We placed our order on August 11. We understood that there may be some delays due to Covid understandably. Our order continued to be delayed into October. We were then told our installation would not be until November 26. Then we were told that was cancelled and would not be until December 23!! Two days before Christmas. We have been given two separate discounts but it has been very frustrating that we still don’t have our blinds installed four and a half months after ordering.
It is now December 23 past 4:00p and the installer still has not arrived!!?! We were told between 12:00p-4:00p. I think we should have been the first install of the day due to waiting 4 and 1/2 months for our blinds. I would like further compensation especially now for not showing up in the allotted time!!! If someone could please get back to me ASAP that would be much appreciated with options.
So our 6 blinds arrived finally and two sets were made incorrectly for our skylights. So we had the measurements taken by a Blinds To Go Installer only to have the two sets of blinds show up today (almost 5 months later) made incorrectly!?! So how long will it now take it get the blinds made correctly and installed!?! February? March? We ordered on August 11. I think we deserve a full refund for our whole order. Hoping someone gets in touch with me ASAP.

Finally BTG has rectified the problem with a refund for the drapes. It took too long but after this revue they took notice.
It was the drapes that were of poor quality the blinds we have bought from them cannot be faulted, very good.
Service is terrible, product is not up to standard, company have not answered our compliant next step will be the Better Business Bureau. Kitchener Ontario store.

We have been a customer of " Blinds to Go" for several Years and have always been satisfied with the blinds. This Year we decided we would like a new blind, and drapes for our recently installed new window.
After waiting several Months for the product to arrive, we were very happy with the blind, but not the drapes. The drapes were not a bit like the sample in the showroom, the velvet material came with puckered side seams, and lines that looked like the material was worn out. We took them back to the store ( Kitchener Ontario ) and it was agreed they were not up to standard. ( we also have photos of them) We waited several more weeks, and this time, they were shipped to us, as we live in Stratford Ontario. The replacements looked exactly the same as the first drapes, and after a few phone calls back to the store, it was agreed someone would come to our house and steam them. ( At first we were told it was our problem, and we would have to get them steamed at our cost, not very professionally handled in our opinion) A few weeks later a young man came to do the job. He did his best, and agreed with us, they still were not 100% fixed. I wrote on the form, what I thought, so that the store would see, we were still not satisfied with the results. They are still puckered on the side seams, and have a couple of areas, which look like the material is worn out. I have not heard a word back from the store, which we think should have been followed up.
I have been reading your guarantee and it states "This business was built on integrity and offering personal service. We want to fulfill our customer's needs by doing everything we can to guarantee that they have a pleasurable shopping experience in our stores and... that they get a quality blind ( I assume it includes drapes?) that will be free of defects and built to the highest standards available in our industry "
Our cost on these drapes was $ 424.31. As they stand, we can only use them as side panels, drawing them together makes them look even worse. For that sort of money, we expected something better. We could have gone to a store and bought really cheap ones, and they would have looked better.
