As the Director of one of the properties that BNS manage we have had our challenges with BNS in the past. However after the change of property manager I now get prompt responses to any queries and am now gaining confidence that BNS are doing what is needed. I am particularly impressed with the in house maintenance team who have conducted 3 separate jobs for us of different magnitudes and all have been completed to a high standard, to budget and on time, and most importantly have involved good communication on issues and progress.

We divide our time between a home in Western Australia and a unit in the UK. This year saw BNS take over the management of the UK unit after many years of management by another company - and oh, what a difference the change made. For the first time we experienced what good property management looks and feels like - responsive, efficient and customer-focused service, all thanks to Tina Mumford, a truly great ambassador for BNS.

Having been engaged with BNS for some time now, we had at one stage considered that all managers were of the same calibre and had all but resigned ourselves to expecting basic management here. Over the past months we have become pleasantly surprised by the level of service received by BNS and in particular our account manager, Shannon. As owners of a leasehold flat in Weston on a site where we have no doubt, there a number of difficult people to deal with, we have had nothing but a polite, responsive, informative and dedicated display of account management since being taken over by Shannon.
Following a number of conversations with her, it had been bought to our attention, which we must admit we had neglected to see in the past, that this is a team of people operating behind the scenes to ensure full management of where we live, and so we take out hats off to Shannon firstly, for such a professional, direct yet compassionate approach but also to the other staff for who she has vouched for, and are much more easily appreciated, the team at BNS who are on hand daily to assist when we need them.
As a couple of now retired, less than Davy owners, we thank the efforts of BNS to date and wish for it to continue as it has.

I agree that in the past BNS have not been very good but in recent months I have been really pleased with the help and support received from BNS, in particular Andy Hawkins in the Downend office. He has resolved 2 issues with my 88 year old mum's flat with a friendly polite approach, lots of communication, and efficiency, with regard to an electric safety problem, within an hour a maintenance person was at the flat to check all electrics. Could not ask for a better service, many thanks. Andy is a real 'people person'.

There was a disappointing start to our relationship with BNS as we had several property managers who didn’t last long. This has changed dramatically for the better since Bonnie Bracken-Patterson took over. She communicates well, consults us when needed and most importantly delivers what she says she will do.

BNS have been our agents for one year. We have not had a great deal to involve them with at length yet but we did have one awkward situation which was taken on by Bonnie Bracken-Patterson. Bonnie successfully solved the problem with thoughtful intelligence and fairness. As is so often the case, one person's good qualities became our image of the company.

We have used the services of BNS for 2 years. In the first year we dealt with 3 different property managers and this rate of staff turnover was concerning. For the past year we have dealt with Laura Kennelly and this has resulted in what is now a very satisfactory working relationship as she has got to know the property and the directors of the management company. She deals with queries promptly, communicates well and generally gets issues sorted out in timely fashion. The score given reflects my experience of the service over the past 2 years. I haven’t found the MyBNS web-site particularly user-friendly. Gareth Rees

We have had BNS for a number of years now, having found our previous management companies wanting. Communication has always been good, with emails and phone calls replied to quickly. They attend our management committee meetings and our AGM. They are responsive to our concerns and have dealt effectively with contractors and the council. We are happy with their services.

I’ve used BNS on numerous occasions for electrical issues on my real estate portfolio. They have always come out promptly and resolved the issues swiftly. Wouldn’t go anywhere else for all my electrical needs.

Worst company I’ve had to deal with. Moved in Bristol, Ashton Rise and been with them unfortunately for 2 years. Non responsive from all angles they just do what they want when they want.

Totally useless, I agree with every bad review written. They definitely waste time, money and cause stress. Incompetent and without regard for the owners who pay them.
Incapable of comprehending a lease, wriggle out of all situations, roof problems ignored, security gates left for months inoperable, do not use in any circumstance. You will regret it.

We have been using BNS management services for our building for over 4 years now and having experienced working with 5 other management companies (we own 5 more flats) I can confidently say that I truly appreciate their professionalism, quick response, everything is always up to date so we’re compliant. Peace of mind is all a landlord wants! Big shout out to Shannon, the whole building agrees that she’s the best account manager we’ve ever had, so thank you Shannon! :)

I continue to rate our account manager Shannon Raven with 5 stars. However, I am somewhat disappointed with BNS senior managements lack of progress on issues with the BNS portal. When working effectively the BNS Portal is an excellent collaborative communication tool between BNS and its clients. We have and continue to have issues with Director access and the inability to download documents. Unfortunately the BNS portal has never benefited from the value of a published user guide. Something that I continue to request without success. I believe that the production of a guide to facilitate the necessary communication between BNS and their clients will considerably reduce the workload of both the account managers and management company Directors. The purpose of this review is two fold - 1. To thank Shannon for her excellent work and 2. To ask a question of other management Directors- Is the BNS portal providing you with a service that meets your requirements and expectations? On a closing point I have suggested that BNS undertake a customer service survey, I don’t believe that they have ever undertaken one.
Above and beyond the call of duty I found Shannon Raven and Jake taking on the thankless task of reorganising our communal basement Storage area, cleaning it up and removing excess clutter accumulated of the years. Well done to them!
