The site seems fun at first, but there are a lot of bugs. The server crashes almost every evening, at least once. There is also a ridiculous karma points system. You get deductions for the most idiotic reasons.
You can get reported for a lot of things and then you're not even able to appeal their decision.
There is also a 'red or green thumb' system, which gets abused by a lot of players, so it's almost impossible to have a decent rating.

Nombreux jeux (en premium, mais ça reste accessible), top pour tester avec les amis avant d'acheter un jeu en physique.

de bons jeux plutôt bien codés mais modération minable et en plus, il y a de plus en plus de prédateurs, des gens qui vous demandent de leur téléphoner ou qui vous mettent la pression pour les rencontrer, gens en couple qui vous draguent etc. Et bien oui parce que c'est moins cher que Meetic et qu'on accepte plus facilement de parler aux gens pour les jeux ! j'ai en particulier identifié un groupe qui s'adonne à ces pratiques...

Ogni volta che si cerca di inoltrare una segnalazione il sistema genera errore. Ti ammoniscono senza effettuare prima nessun tipo di controllo. Non vengono rispettate le regole del gioco.inutile essere premium

Det er første gang jeg har spillet derinde og absolut ikke sidste gang. Min datter og jeg elsker at spille "Ticket to Ride" så vi fik lige spillet 9 gode runder .. Kan varmt anbefales

I have been a premium player for a while. The site has been mostly pretty good. However all of a sudden I can't get games to work, my friends on the site seem to have been cancelled and there appears to be no way to report the problem. I have tried a new profile but it doesn't recognise my password. Each time I try to log in I have to change the password. Needless to say I am cancelling my subscription.

Honestly the creators have no intelligence to know everyone’s has lives outside the gaming world, making it more difficult to uphold a good reputation, get rid of it, because you are making it to people have to choose between playing games or enjoying their life

Gestione del tempo scandalosa. Kingmatching a "squadre", basta collegarsi con il telefono e non fanno nessun controllo. Giocate con i giochi di società veri, vi divertirete di più

Their payment page is misleading. There is payment option for a year or for a month. I would believe it means the year one is reoccuring, the one month is one time only, but no. In reality the year one payed once by year and cheaper, the monthly one payed every month and more expensive. No warning, clear declaration about reoccurance during payment, just it's hidden in the terms. Only noticed the reoccurance of month payment option at my bank account.

Gameplay is generally good and value for money.

Unfortunately the experience is ruined dictatorial moderators and customer service is extremely poor when you raise any issues with them.

Gameplay is programmed and a bit mathematical, hence aims for your pocket.
The game relies on reputation. You usually play against 1 other real person, who also controls the other “co-players”, so gameplay is biased, and you will lose or/and eventually get frustrated.
Thàt is the game’s aim. The .nl-extension has been long sold, do not be fooled.
Also, you are not a premium-member, you will wait a loong time before being able to get dealt a table.
And also, when your reputation is lower, you will very often be dealt players with a very high score, or players with a very low score, being a paying member or not.

Algorithme de gestion du hasard totalement aux fraises... Malgré de nombreuses critiques à ce sujet...

I’ve been a premium member on this platform for months now, but I’ve reached my limit with the issues here. I primarily play Catan, and I have to say, the algorithm feels absolutely rigged. Nearly every time I exceed 8 resources—usually due to other players' turns—when it’s finally my turn and I’m ready to spend them, I roll a 7 and lose half my resources. Meanwhile, I see other players easily accumulate up to 20 resources without ever rolling a 7. It’s uncanny and makes the game incredibly frustrating. And as if that’s not enough, right after you build your first village, the very next player often rolls a 7 and steals from you—almost like clockwork.

I just spent 1.5 hours in a game, stuck at 9 points for 45 minutes, while another player came from 3 points to win because of bizarre dice rolls that never seemed to favor me. While it's understandable that other players would target the leader, it’s clear that the board is not random and feels manipulated.

The community and moderation are another big problem. Many players behave childishly—pretending to be weak only to launch relentless attacks when the opportunity arises. Moderation is poor, and reporting issues doesn't seem to help much.

Regarding the perks of being a premium member: don’t waste your money. The supposed benefit of faster matchmaking is flawed. I’ve set strict preferences to avoid players with bad reputations or certain game types, but the system still pairs me with them. Hosting a game as a premium member is also frustrating—people join and then leave or don’t confirm participation, leading to long waits and wasted time.

While there are positives—you can play anytime, and there’s a wide variety of games—the negatives far outweigh them. I had hoped for a fun and engaging experience, but instead, I’m left disappointed and have canceled my premium subscription. I’d advise anyone considering a membership to think twice.

Politique de modération scandaleuse ! Lord d'une partie collaborative, un joueur s'est mis à faire n'importe quoi lorsque je lui ai proposé de l'aider. Au final, ce joueur s'est plaint de mon comportement (eh oui, proposer de l'aide, c'est être humiliant...) et les modérateurs lui ont donné raison. Eh oui !

Jeg har brugt enormt mange timer hos Board Game Arena - primært sammen med mine venner, men også taget nogle runder med komplet fremmede. Jeg har aldrig oplevet nogle problemer - folk koncentrerer sig generelt om spillene.
Jeg synes prisen er enorm rimelig, især når man kigger på det enorme udvalg af spil de har, så jeg kan ikke sætte en finger på stedet.

Plateforme pleine de bug, modérateurs qui ne savent pas gérer...
