Seasons of Love- thanks to BookLeaf Publishing for bringing out Live my bookvinto market

The company is only responsive until you book a publishing package with them. I booked Bestseller Bookthrough Package paying almost Rs. 12,000 but after this there is no way to contact them. I even reached out to its co-founders through LinkedIn, Instagram and direct email, but no response. I didn't receive publishing agreement, basic services committed as part of package even after 40+ days of book published. I would request any new author to think ten times before investing in your dreams with this company.

My experience with BookLeaf Publishing has been one of the most frustrating and draining professional experiences I’ve had.

I submitted a complete manuscript (~90 poems, 400+ pages) in June 2025 with a promised turnaround of 30–45 business days. That timeline was not just missed—it was ignored. What followed was months of chasing, repeated corrections, and an endless loop of vague responses like “we’ve escalated your case.”

After over 6 months of delay, my book was finally “published” on 3rd February 2026. Except it wasn’t. Only 27 pages were uploaded—just acknowledgements and preliminary sections. None of the actual content made it through.

Let that sink in: after half a year of waiting, they published nothing of substance.

Since then, the pattern has been painfully consistent:

Assurances without action
Deadlines given and missed (including a firm commitment for full publication by 24th March 2026)
Scheduled calls that never happened
No clear answers on manuscript status, draft access, or even basic content confirmation

What makes this worse is the complete lack of ownership. At no point did anyone step in with clarity, accountability, or urgency. It felt like being stuck in a system designed to delay rather than deliver.

Even more concerning—after months of silence, new objections about content length were suddenly introduced, something that was never communicated at the beginning. Changing expectations after wasting months of an author’s time is simply unacceptable.

This is not just poor service. It reflects deep issues in coordination, communication, and commitment.

If you are considering publishing with them, understand this:
You may spend months following up, only to receive partial or incorrect results, with no clear resolution in sight.

As of today, I am still waiting for my book to be published in full.

An experience that started with trust has ended in complete disappointment.

I participated in the 21day poem writing challenge but ended up completing my poems in less than that time. I wish I knew it was uncommon to pay someone to publish my work. So after purchasing the initial fee to participate, I opted for the free publishing services package once I submitted my book for review. Within 24 hours, I received an email with a link to purchase my ebook as it went live on their website on the same day! I’m interested to see what the timeline from here on will look like to having my paperback published and ready for sale as well. But so far, I am happy with them.

Publishing my poetry collection, “The Grammar of Stillness” with BookLeaf Publishing was a smooth and efficient experience. The entire process was conducted 100% online, which made everything simple and convenient. The team was always available to provide the necessary guidance and support.

The Helpdesk responded promptly and accurately to emails and was accessible whenever assistance was needed. Overall, I am very satisfied with my experience and will definitely approach BookLeaf again for my upcoming works. I would also recommend them to other authors.

Thank you for helping me publish this book. However it needs some correcting. I have paid you $30.00 to have someone on your staff to help me do this. No one has contacted me about anything, except to tell me I can order it "as is". I keep getting the "run around", when it come to help. What do I need to do for you to keep your word. I need the "help line", to make this book better than it is now. I want to believe you are honest in keeping your word to help with the changes I've requested per email, and that my $30.00 is not wasted money. Please have someone from your staff help me in this. Thank you.

Good experience smooth process

Publishing my book with Bookleaf has been wonderful! First, their website for writing your book is super easy to use and so helpful! Through the process Bookleaf was always in contact with me via email, answering any questions I had and giving me a clear timeline and what to expect. They delivered on all of their promises and then some! To me, this was not exactly self publishing but a sort of middle ground between traditional publishing and self. It was very reasonably priced (less than $100 total) and no added fees that you have to spend. And I am a proud published author now!! So exciting! Tysm Bookleaf!

worst, If I could give zero stars I would, they are scam, says will review in 15 days, then 30 days , then 45 days, its been 50 days , no review done and no one is responding, so be careful , don't trust them you will loose your money

The PR campaign is something which I didn’t think was up to the mark. The social media template created was something a 6th grader can do on Canva. It is so basic and doesn’t serve the purpose at all. About the press release article. Regardless that you mentioned that instead as promised on 7 you did 13 press release, the article is identical on all the platforms. It’s like a copy paste everywhere which doesn’t make sense. We can only share 1 press release with audience as there is nothing different in the other 12 releases. It questions the authenticity of the articles. I am so unhappy with this.

What started as a '21 Poems Challenge' sometime ago, has culminated into a lasting relationship - such has been the friendly and professional manner in which the Publishing Co. responded to my queries and guided me through thick and thin. today, I am a proud author of my collection of 88 poems. I recommend young writers to navigate through the serpentine path of Publishing by having this Publication House as the 'Sarathi'.

BookLeaf Publishing has not met the contract I signed with them over a year ago. I am unable to order my own book and have lost out on multiple sales! They do not communicate. It’s the same response each time - they blame Amazon. They ignore my email requests for proof of their communication with the printer. This has been the worst experience I could have had. I absolutely do NOT recommend anyone use this publisher. I am utterly disappointed in how they handle their clients.

I am grateful to Bookleaf publishing team for their continuous support throughout my writing journey and also for their extended support for the PR and marketing of my published book!!
They are doing a phenomenal job in grooming and supporting new authors!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I’ll keep it to highlights but bottom line: bookleaf publishing is a SCAM. I’m certain the positive reviews are generated by the company itself because all of the complaints I’m seeing are near identical. And the worst part, I can’t even access my own work. I’m locked out of my writing in their dashboard, book was never made available anywhere, never received a printed copy, they’ve stopped responding to my emails, I have no choice but to involve an attorney. This has been going on for months. I want my work returned and they don’t even respond anymore. Mind you I paid for “extras.” It’s thievery. Writing risks vulnerability on so many levels. Shame on this company for exploiting so many people.

The whole company is a fraud. The company swindles all the money of the author's earning

The customer service just keep on replying promptly but do not solve the issue.

I invested my money ,days writing and because of the technical glitch in their software the book preview is not getting generated.

I tried multiple times, mailed them multiple times but no action . Just prompt reverts of we escalated to our tech team.

It has been more than 2 months no action.

Waste of time,money and energy.

The promise of seeing my work in a book was exciting but I never knew it would only be purchasable in India and I would have no input into costs. Since publication in 2023 I have received no loyalties at all. I supposedly won an award too but never saw that. I would not recommend this company at all.
