Before I had Jonathon as my tutor I was horrible at maths and absolutely hated it. But just after a couple of lessons my whole life changed, I never thought I'd like maths until I met him, he's now the main reason why I'm acing my mocks and my tests. He's taught me so much and I'm very thankful. He just radiates positive energy and that's what you'd want. If your considering Jonathon, GO FOR IT! :)

Jonathan has been educating my children for a number of months now, and their approach towards mathematics has significantly changed. They were always reluctant to approach the subject as it was daunting for them which only proved to escalate their anxiety, which hampered their progress. However, since they have been getting taught by Jonathan their anxiety has decreased extensively. They still do occasionally get anxious still, however Jonathon is quick to recognise it, and ease their worries by reassuring them that they can achieve the answers, guilding them to see that an initially daunting sum is in fact not that scary after all. The praise he provides after a child successfully answers a mathematical question correctly is palpable especially to my children. If your child has any maths related anxiety, rest assured that Jonathan is a maths wizard who turns big threatening monster questions into fearless little mouse questions, absorbing with it the anxiety that was initially displayed. I am extremely impressed and relieved by Jonathans ability to dissolve their maths anxiety and allowing children to enjoy mathematics. A highly recommended tutor for a multitude of students, SEN or non SEN.

Brainy Spinach is a really innovative, flexible, creative, and compassionate tutor.
He connects well with children, individualising sessions around their strengths and challenges. He is sensitive to pacing, and very supportive.
Brainy has become a pillar of our lives, and we cannot recommend him highly enough.

We have been with jonathan for a long time now. He is good with my children, calm, collective, he relate with my son well. His teaching is good, he has this game ideas to help children get on board with math, now the idea birthed a company. From my view Jonathan love teaching and his helpful with all that comes with children's education. No doubt any child will get on board. He definitely knows what he's doing. I'm thankful the our time with him and we are coming back soon.

I am absolutely blown away by how Jon keeps the attention of my almost 7-year-old kid, who gets distracted by the tiniest form of outside stimulation. It was so hard for me to homeschool him. I would still be frustrated had I not met Jon in one of the Facebook homeschooling groups.

Previous encounters with teachers weren't so great, so I was sceptical, but I am happy I got over it and tried his class. I have never seen my kid being so attentive to anything. It was magic to watch.

It was a struggle to find a good tutor with whom my son would click. He has complex needs which not every tutor can meet. Jon was the perfect choice. He’s calm, collected, makes his lessons fun and is equipped to work with children with autism. My boy wants to constantly practice mathematics now unlike before. I would highly recommend Jon’s lessons to help your children.
