Overall Failure; Not Recommended. Go-Getter Pitch, but Amateur Execution.
As a business owner and a Ph.D., I value data-driven partnerships and clear communication. Brand’s Bro LLC (BB) failed spectacularly on both fronts. What began as a confident cold reach-out promising a "600% surge in sales" devolved into a masterclass in incompetence, unauthorized spending, and professional gaslighting.
STRATEGY FAILURE:
I paid a $900 upfront fee based on BB's promise to optimize my unique product. After taking my payment, they convinced me to pay for an Amazon "Pro" account, and spend $500 on a trademark for A+ content for their "strategy." But as soon as I got the enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry, BB took a 180-degree turn. Suddenly, my product was "too competitive," and they suggested I abandon my product (my own invention) for something else (like a cheap white-label). This was a complete reversal of their initial "expert" audit.
FINANCIAL NEGLIGENCE & DISHONESTY:
- Unauthorized Spending: We mutually agreed upon specific daily ad budgets. I caught them doubling those budgets without my permission.
- Gaslighting: When confronted with proof of this overspending, they were dismissive, telling me to "chill, bro" and "show some respect."
- The "Free Service" Lie: When the project failed to meet agreed upon performance thresholds, BB leadership claimed the ad management was a "favor," conveniently ignoring that these efforts were a contractual requirement for them to hit the "break-even" guarantee agreed to in writing by both parties.
- Lost Credits: They failed to secure a $250 Amazon ad credit I specifically directed them to utilize, later admitting they had zero proof or receipts that they even attempted to apply for it.
RESULT:
Despite new A+ content and a "Pro" seller status, my total sales (organic + ads) sales actually decreased compared to when I managed the listing alone. I ultimately fired them-- actually foregoing a free optimization on a second product they were contractually obligated to do-- because their work was so counterproductive that I couldn't risk further damage to my Amazon account.
VERDICT:
Brand’s Bro LLC is an agency of "bros" who lack the maturity for account management. They are agreeable during the sales pitch but become defensive, rude, and dishonest the moment they are asked for professional accountability. Save your brand and your budget; look elsewhere.
