Dan is an amazing instructor. His casual style makes the online format feel just like an in-person class. I started as a total beginner with Figma, but he explains everything so clearly and honestly (including his own recording bloopers/troubles) that I'm completely hooked and want to learn everything I can. I'm thoroughly enjoying this course!

The courses are easy to follow enjoyable, with real life tasks to complete and you also get a certificate. At the same time there is a whole community you can ask questions, share your work for feedback and get valuable responses from co-designers and pros. The slogan from "zero to hero" is surprisingly true!

I'm still learning English, but the teacher's English is easy to understand, and the explanations are clear.

If you compare this to similar sites like Skill share, this is an absolute steal! No strings attached or whatever.

And I have not even mentioned the fact that coaches regularly like your works and answer your questions. That is really helpful.

Really easy to follow, but also helps to build strong foundtaion.

The instructions are thorough enough, but leaves room for the student to experiment with the nuances of the tools. The team is quick to follow up with questions and comments.

Bring your own laptop has taught me so much about Figma. The training videos are very easy to follow. I like how Dan shows us more than one way of doing something, he is thorough in his teaching.

The team of experts is also great in that they are helpful and their response time is excellent.

I would highly recommend BYOL. They make learning easy and fun.

Great course. Good explanations

The class content is very enjoyable, though the current technical difficulty level is high. I am committed to continuing with the lessons and working through the challenging concepts.

Mad about BYOL. A past co-worker recommended it, and I joined and never took a class for an entire year — due to my own bad judgment and time constraints. Since my then contract work ended, I've been headlong into Figma training. I've done Figma training in the past via LinkedIn Training. BYOL is so much better.

Your teaching style makes learning Photoshop enjoyable and exciting.

The courses are easy enough to follow once you get used to the speed at which Dan operates. I'm halfway through right now after about a week or so of learning Figma, and I know a lot more than I expected to at this point.

Although this Photoshop Advanced course was first created in 2019, Dan Scott has clearly continued to care for and update the material. His teaching remains practical, generous, and easy to follow. I especially appreciate the way he explains advanced tools without making the student feel overwhelmed.

There are a few moments where Dan refers to Typekit, which has since been replaced by Adobe Fonts. Even so, the underlying instruction remains clear and useful. The concepts translate easily to Adobe Fonts in 2026, and students should have no difficulty applying the lesson.

For anyone wanting to deepen their Photoshop skills, I can recommend both this course and the BYOL platform with confidence. Dan is an excellent teacher, and the course reflects the kind of patient, thoughtful instruction that helps students keep learning.

Initially I did the free Figma Kickstart course and loved it so much I signed up for a subscription and did a full Figma UI UX Design Essentials course with BYOL.
Dan is a pleasure to learn from with knowledge, humour, and the perfect pace for learning. I completed my course, had feedback along the way from other students and instructors, and earned myself a certification.

This is an absolutely fantastic site for learning Adobe programs. I haven’t finished my first course yet but I’ve been amazed at the quality of teaching by Daniel Walter Scott and how easy it’s been for me to learn (I’m in my mid 50s and usually when I try to learn to use Adobe software it results in swearing, tears and heavy drinking) but I’m actually enjoying learning. I can’t wait to get to the end of the course and get my certificate and move on to more courses on the platform.
