I placed an order for an iPhone listed at one of the highest prices on Budli.in. Despite this, it took around 15–18 days to deliver the phone.

When I finally received it, the phone was not even properly reset. It appeared to have been used and sent directly to me. The overall condition was extremely poor. The display quality was unacceptable, and the phone heated abnormally to the point that it was difficult to hold comfortably.

I immediately contacted their customer support, but their response time was extremely poor. In many cases, it took around a week to receive a reply to an email. I documented everything, including the condition of the device and my communication with them.

What concerned me most was that after I placed the order and raised an issue, the product description appeared to be changed. This raises serious concerns about transparency and makes customers feel that the product information can be changed according to convenience after the sale.

When I requested a return/replacement, the communication was unclear and several of my questions were not properly answered. The customer service experience was extremely frustrating.

I eventually had to push repeatedly to get the replacement processed. Even after that, it took almost two months to receive the replacement device, with frequent follow-ups required from my side. During this entire period, I was effectively without a reliable phone despite having already paid for my order.

The replacement phone is also disappointing. It heats significantly, and the battery performance raises concerns, as it drains much faster than expected.

My honest advice: think very carefully before buying a refurbished phone from Budli.in. If you are spending your hard-earned money, you should expect a properly tested, accurately described, and reliable device, along with responsive customer support.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend Budli.in.

मैंने Budli.in से एक iPhone खरीदा, जिसकी कीमत उनकी वेबसाइट पर काफी ज्यादा थी। लेकिन फोन डिलीवर करने में 15–18 दिन लगा दिए।

फोन मिलने के बाद जो हालत देखी, वह बेहद शर्मनाक थी। फोन ठीक से reset तक नहीं किया गया था और ऐसा लग रहा था जैसे इस्तेमाल किया हुआ फोन सीधे मुझे भेज दिया गया हो। हालत बेहद खराब थी और display की quality इतनी घटिया थी कि भरोसा करना मुश्किल था। ऊपर से फोन इतना ज्यादा गर्म हो रहा था कि हाथ में पकड़ना भी मुश्किल था।

मैंने तुरंत email करके शिकायत की और हर चीज का वीडियो और लिखित रिकॉर्ड रखा। लेकिन customer service का हाल उससे भी खराब था। एक-एक email का जवाब आने में लगभग एक हफ्ता लग जाता था। मेरे सवालों का पूरा जवाब देना तो दूर, कई सवालों को नजरअंदाज कर दिया गया।

सबसे गंभीर बात यह लगी कि order करने के बाद, जब मैंने फोन में समस्या उठाई, तो मुझे लगा कि वेबसाइट पर product description में बदलाव किए गए। इससे ग्राहक के मन में यह गंभीर सवाल उठता है कि क्या product की जानकारी ग्राहक के order करने के बाद सुविधा के हिसाब से बदली जा सकती है।

Return/replacement के समय भी इनकी communication बेहद अस्पष्ट रही। मुझे अपने ही पैसे से खरीदे हुए defective product के लिए बार-बार follow-up करना पड़ा।

Replacement स्वीकार करने के बाद भी लगभग दो महीने तक फोन नहीं मिला। मुझे लगातार follow-up करना पड़ा। यानी पैसे देने के बाद भी मैं करीब दो महीने तक एक भरोसेमंद फोन से वंचित रहा।

और सबसे बड़ी विडंबना यह है कि replacement phone भी कोई शानदार नहीं निकला। यह भी बहुत ज्यादा गर्म होता है और battery बहुत तेजी से drain होती है। Battery की condition को लेकर भी मुझे गंभीर संदेह है।

मेरी नजर में यह सिर्फ खराब product का मामला नहीं है—यह customer service, transparency और accountability की गंभीर समस्या है।

अगर कोई अपनी मेहनत की कमाई से refurbished phone खरीद रहा है, तो उसे कम से कम यह उम्मीद होती है कि उसे ठीक से tested, accurately described और इस्तेमाल करने लायक device मिलेगा।

मेरे अनुभव में Budli.in ने इन बुनियादी उम्मीदों पर भी खरा नहीं उतरने दिया।

अगर आप अपनी मेहनत की कमाई बचाना चाहते हैं, तो Budli.in से refurbished phone खरीदने से पहले मेरे अनुभव को जरूर ध्यान में रखें।

मेरी व्यक्तिगत recommendation: मैं दोबारा Budli.in से कोई phone नहीं खरीदूंगा।

मेरी मेहनत की कमाई कोई charity नहीं है।
अगर पैसे देने के बाद भी ग्राहक को महीनों तक अपने ही पैसे और product के लिए लड़ना पड़े, तो ऐसी service से दूर रहना ही बेहतर है।

I had a terrible experience trying to sell my old laptop to Budli.com. Before sending it in, I was completely honest and mentioned everything correctly in their condition checklist—including the fact that the battery and charger were dead and the overall condition was below average. They offered me a quote of ₹541. Despite the flaws, the display and the motherboard were working completely fine.However, after a few days, they emailed me claiming that my device is "e-waste" and refused to pay me the quoted amount. To make things worse, they are now holding my laptop hostage and demanding that I pay ₹720 just to have my own device returned to me!They offer a low quote to get your device, change the terms after they have it, and then charge you more than the device is worth just to get it back. Avoid this platform at all costs; their process is completely unfair.

I am sharing my personal experience with Budli.in so other buyers can make an informed decision.

I placed a prepaid order on Budli’s website and paid the full amount online. The website accepted my delivery address, generated an order confirmation, and the order was later manually confirmed by Budli’s team as well.

After confirming the order and taking payment, Budli informed me that the product cannot be delivered outside Bangalore. This information was communicated only after the order was confirmed and payment was received.

Despite the fact that:
• The product was never shipped
• No service was provided
• Cancellation was due to Budli’s inability to deliver, not my request

they demanded 15% cancellation charges to process the refund and repeatedly tried to make me email my “acceptance” for this deduction.

What is more concerning is that I later found another case where Budli stated that 15% cancellation charges are not applicable if the order is not processed, yet in my case, they are demanding the same charges even though the order was not processed.

I have escalated the matter to the National Consumer Helpline (Government of India) due to unfair trade practices and inconsistent application of their own terms.

My advice to others:
Please be very cautious with prepaid orders, especially if you are outside Bangalore. Make sure everything is clarified in writing before paying.
