Nick was a brilliant facilitator, and all of our pupils had a great time! He shared lots of interesting facts, and adjusted the content well for the three different ages that took part. Thank you!

Booked nick for my grandsons 4th birthday, and I have to say the best money I've ever spent . Nick was engaging,knowledgeable and very passionate about his bugs. The kids loved it ( the parents loved it)

We had a fantastic visit from Nick to inspire our minibeasts topic. He was a mine of fascinating information (for children and adults!) and really sensitively handled the less confident children. By the end everyone had got hands on with the bugs and the children were captivated and proud of themselves in equal measure. Thanks Nick!

We have had Bugfest booked for our Reception children to support their Bugtastic topic for the last two years now. It is absolutely brilliant. The children learn so much and staff too! It is hands on and hugely engaging. We have booked up again for next year and I would highly recommend this workshop for schools.

I recently booked Nick for my little boy’s 4th birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. So much knowledge and a friendly persona made sure he draw in both children and parents alike. He has a unique ability to tailor his show to different ages and additional needs of the audience ensured that everyone enjoyed it. I cannot recommend Nick enough.

Nick visited our Reception and pre-school children this week to kick off our topic about minibeasts. He was so knowledgable and thoroughly engaging, pitching it just right for our young children. They absolutely loved seeing and holding the amazing bugs he brought in. Such an inspiring start to our topic. The children have produced some fab work this week based on the visit and haven’t stopped talking about it! Thanks so much!

Humorous and interactive/hands on experience for anyone and everyone. I got over my life long fear of spiders. An appreciation of our smallest critters without which none of us would be alive. A must see:)))

We saw this experience at Lakeland Haven. It was superb. Our children are fascinated with mini beasts and they were transfixed the whole time. It was immersive, funny, interesting and we all learnt so much in a fun way. We would highly recommend seeing this show as it was entertaining yet the children learned as much as they would in an hour about bugs as they would learn in a term’s worth of school biology lessons! :-)

Bugfest has been a highlight of Super Saturday in Yeovil for a number of years. Nick is hugely knowledgeable, extremely enthusiastic and very entertaining. His shows such as the "Wild and Deadly" show are well received by audiences of all ages. Nick and his team have adapted to each annual event, providing support to the organisers and fellow event attendees. Educational and fun, with an awareness of the importance of mini beasts - all pitched at the right level.

The children had a great experience with Bug Fest! They really enjoyed holding the different mini beasts and learnt so much from Nick. The information was great and the whole experience really inspired the children. Thank you Bug Fest!

We saw Nick and his bugs at a local event. He was excellent. He was welcoming groups (one bubble at a time) to have a private tour of his bugs, including handling them, in an area safely roped off but allowing others a clear view from behind the rope. From time to time he would stop the tours to do a proper show, which was fun and entertaining for kids and adults alike. This is the third time my young children have seen his performances, and they love it. Nick was particularly careful with the children and nobody is pressured to hold a bug if they do not want to. His passion for bugs shows through, and he does not shy from the serious messages / conservation angle too, making children aware of the role bugs and insects play in biodiversity, and even the possibilities of a career in entomology.

This was great fun for young kids, teens and adults alike. Engaging presentation over a dozen (mostly) safe millipedes, stick insects, tarantula (at distance, unless you're brave enough!).
Ex-teacher (with ASD experience), great with all ages (including my 18yo autistic young man, and another ASD child ~7yo). Says he does discounts for schools and booking for several hours (was around 40 minutes, but could easily shortened or lengthened to fit successive groups in).
Everyone was smiling throughout, encouraged to join in but nobody was pushed into handling if they didn't want to - which is just opening your palm so the creature can walk across it (all closely supervised).

My reception class really enjoyed the visit from Nick at Bugfest. They loved touching and getting up close to some amazing bugs. Nick was very knowledgeable and aimed his information at the right age.

What a great experience Nick provided for our Reception children last week. They got to learn some fun facts about the different bugs Nick brought as well as handle some of them up close. The children thoroughly enjoyed their experience and were excited to share with their grown ups at the end of the day all what they had seen and learnt! Nick was extremely professional and informative and catered for the age range of his audience.

What an amazing Zoom meeting with an opportunity to magnify different parts of a these delightful creatures. My class were hooked! They asked lots of questions which were answered by a knowledgeable and passionate handler. Thank you, Nick.

Nick is passionate about his bugs! He is also passionate a out helping us understand them more. His enthusiasm is infectious and his blend of humour and amazing facts helps children to appreciate the role that these creatures play in our vital eco systems.

Nick visited the school where I work in the EYFS. He gave a very informative, fun presentations for children from Reception to Y4. Each class had an hour session and all wanted more. He pitched his chat with facts relevant to each year group and was happy to cover any learning outcomes we wished. The children thoroughly enjoyed their sessions, and I have had more than half the parents message me to say how much chat there was at home about the visit and how many facts the children could retell!

We had a bugfest zoom party for our 6 year old daughter. She absolutely loved it. I would highly recommend. Nick was very friendly and helpful both in organising the party and during the actual call. We got to see all sorts of creatures close up and heard some suitable disgusting (and interesting facts). All the kids, and the adults, really enjoyed it. I would particularly recommend the zoom if your child is a bit shy as it removes all the pressure of being centre of attention. Would definitely use Bugfest again - would be great to see the creatures in real life next time. Thank you Nick.
