As a wildlife rescue, we care for hundreds of baby birds every year, many of which require specialist nutritional support during rehabilitation.

We have been using Bugvita cricket powder as part of our feeding protocols and have been very impressed with the quality. The powder mixes well, is easy to incorporate into feeds, and provides an excellent source of insect protein for species that would naturally consume insects in the wild.

The birds readily accept feeds containing the powder and it has become a valuable addition to our rehabilitation toolkit. We also received excellent customer service and found the company knowledgeable and helpful when discussing larger quantities for charity use.

It's great to find a UK supplier producing a high quality insect based product that supports both wildlife rehabilitation and responsible nutrition.

Always works in my granola and yogurt in the morning. Lasts quite a while as I'm not using it daily.

The quality of the product is great. The insects are crunchy and delicious; I've been adding them in several dishes -even banana milkshake- and the family has accept it very well as the flavour of the dish doesn't change.

The product arrives well protected, in quality packaging, and on time.

My first order did not arrive. I got in touch with Adam at Bugvita and he sorted the situation immediately. The cricket powder itself is fabulous. I have used Bugvita before and their products are the best. I highly recommend them!

Very happy with the consistency of the products from Bugvita such that I have now moved to a monthly subscription. They are always happy to answer any questions.
Also receive the occasional little treat added to orders too - what is not to like.

So far really pleased, I'm on subscription so it just arrives every month. I add it to morning smoothies and have found a palatable concoction! An easy and complete-protein win.

Purchased 500 grams of crickets for a scout camping trip. In hindsight, a single bag would have sufficed since 250 grams is plenty. Everyone gave them a try, and the flavors reminded some of pistachios, pork rinds, or just a crunchy texture. While I can't see myself adding them to salads or omelets, they pair nicely with a chilled beer.

I just purchased the New Bugvita Bug Box | 9 Flavours Multipack Gift Box (SKU: V7-NNOI-SQDJ, £28.00) today. This is the very first time in my life that I’m trying edible insects, so I’m both excited and a little nervous!

I’m curious about how you have packaged the product, as any accompanying guidebook or instructions are very important to me for a smooth first experience.

I also hope that the insects are prepared in a way that avoids any unpleasant textures in the mouth — specifically, that there are no heads or rough legs/parts, and that the internal organs, especially the intestines which may contain insect waste, have been properly removed.

Looking forward to tasting the different flavours, and I appreciate any care taken to make this first edible insect experience as enjoyable and approachable as possible!

Love the packaging, quality of product but most importantly these snacks taste fantastic!

All arrived in good time, product always good, mix in with my morning porridge with various other ingredients such as turmeric, ground Flax seed, seed mix, dried Goji berries, nuts, blueberries, do still need to do a larger bag though.

Love the cookie and brownie kits. We have started making them for our friends..

Bought half kilo of crickets for scout camp. To be honest I could have done with one bag,250grams of crickets is quite alot. Everybody tried them and taste ranged from pistachio, pork scratchings to simply crunchy dust. I cant imagine putting them on my salad or in my omelette, but they are pretty good with a cold pint.

These crickets make a really nice add on to meals, especially work lunches - to add more protein without costing the earth. My only issue with this company is that it's pretty hit or miss whether you get notified that they've been dispatched and tend to only get an email from postal service on the day they're due to be delivered. Which is kind of a pain if you're at work.
