I highly recommend giving this company a try. I was trying to match flooring to an existing floor. I was able to order plenty of samples, at no cost to myself! Most companies charge something for samples. This company shipped for free and followed up.

While I did not end up ordering flooring from this company. After I ordered my samples Mark Mabanta from the company reached out to me via phone and email to assist me in any way he could.

I then sent him pictures of the flooring. I was trying to match with some of the samples I had ordered, and what sizes I was looking for. He did his best to help me find a match and was very helpful and I appreciated the great customer service.!!!

Teerath and his team were very patient with us during the decision making period. Never any pressure, always answered the phone, returned texts and emails very promptly. The delivery price was very fair - the team drove though the worst snowstorm yet this year to deliver to us on time all the way up in Dawson Creek, icy roads, they delivered and unloaded all within 20 mins!

My BuilDirect flooring is engineered tongue and grove. On the second floor it begins with nosing and is followed by planks. The nosing was not milled correctly, it is thinner than Buildirect’s own specs. When the nosing is inserted into the flooring a sharp lips is the result where the two different thicknesses meet. My installer will not install this flooring. It’s particularly dangerous on the steps because all the treads will have a sharp exposed edge where the planks meet.

I first informed Builddirect about this a week ago. I write them daily. They have not responded. They have not even provided installation instructions, they have ignored me. I paid them over $16,000. What a nightmare. Avoid this company. This experiencing is frustrating and heartbreaking.

Fitz is an excellect Customer Success Specialist! He was extremely polite and respectful. He listened to our issue and addressed it with the urgency we needed. I can't thank him enough and because of how our issue was handled, we would 100% buy from Build Direct again.

The flooring has a clean, modern look and the color is really appealing. A couple of pieces weren’t totally perfect, but overall it turned out nicely and feels like a good value.

Prior to installation, the contractor conducted a thorough verification to ascertain the adequacy of the box supply. Referring to the labels indicating 20 ft.² per box, he identified a shortfall. We then ordered more of boxes which were discovered to be unnecessary as each box contained 25 ft.², not the 20 ft.² as indicated on the labels.

This mislabeling of American imports appears to be a form of customs fraud employed to circumvent tariffs. This is a serious offense. It was reported to the proper authorities.

This mislabeling resulted in us having to pay over $500 in unnecessary shipping fees.

The Elm Odyssey floors in the Athena stain we received looked nothing like the pictures. I understand that color variations are possible; however, these were the exact color but looked like a tractor ran over them.

Unfortunately, my contractor installed them without me knowing. When I contacted customer service, they said that installation was "acceptance" and that all they could do was offer me $100 as a courtesy.

I asked them to show the floors to the vendor because there is no way that people would have left these over 4 star rating if they looked like ours. I wish I could submit pictures. But the grooves the company made to make the wood more realistic were straight lines of 10-15 indentations in a row (thus the tractor look). They assured me that they were the right floors, but if that's so, then this company stands behind some of the worst-manufactured floors I have ever seen as a designer.

I got $100 dollars back, but I'm hoping I can keep someone from purchasing the same floors.

Start to finish amazing! Truly free samples and good sized! The "see in room" software was nearly spot on! Mila was amazing! Not "salesy" she acknowledged my timeline and when i came back to ask for a quote, she delivered! Product came fedex in just a couple days! Easy to install after watching just a couple videos! The Boscawen was a perfect choice and goes great with the adjoining hardwood floors!

I ordered luxury vinyl plank flooring for my new home's entire first floor. Also purchased the manufacturer's recommended underlayment. Installed the floor per instructions and within two years, we began noticing some issues with separating and lifting. By the 3rd year, it started breaking. BuildDirect offered a 10 year warranty on the floor, but I couldn't find my paperwork. I must've lost it in the move. So I reached out to BD with my information and they couldn't locate my order. A couple years later, I tried reaching out again because the issue just kept getting worse. This time, I provided them my name, my husband's name, our emails, our address, his work address, etc. Every possible detail of information that would enable them to locate my order. I told them the problem we were having. They claim they have no proof I ever ordered this flooring from them. While it's my fault I lost my order's paperwork in the move, I also feel like BuildDirect "can't find" my order because they know I'm having an issue with the floor entirely falling apart. I'm approaching the 10 year mark, and my warranty will no longer be active. The floors have broken so badly that they're now a safety hazard for my children and will need to be entirely replaced. I would not recommend their products nor their customer service.

This company will not stand behind their products. Bought floors for the second floor of our house for them, (Used more expensive floors on the main floor). Very soon after installation by a very reputable installer the finish began to fail. They told us we had to pay $575 for in inspection for the warranty. Said no at first and after a couple of years figured might as well before the warranty is up. I am an architect and have specified and inspected millions of square feet of flooring the issue is obvious. They sent the inspector who then did a report. The report was filled with inaccuracies throughout, even stated the SF installed was 1/3 of the actual area, simple stuff to get that wrong. Basically it was a sham to not have to warranty an obviously bad batch of floor. Good price but you're out of luck if you happen to get bad product. Going to cost me over 10k to replace.

Don't do it!! Don't try to save money by going through build direct. I'm going to have to tear out all of the flooring installed in a new home build 3 years ago due to faulty engineered hardwood that has completely falling apart, and they wont warrantee

This company is a scam and fraudulent. Do not buy anything from them! The customer service has been so mean and rude. I have never experienced such horrible treatment. The floors they sent us are discolored and were damaged within one day of installing. It took almost an entire month for me to even get a response from customer service and then another month for me to get a response from the warranty department, who then refused to help us. Do not buy from this company. It is a scam!!!

I received a shipment of flooring today from Builddirect.
When it arrived there was a box that was damaged and the flooring was damaged.
I called Builddirect customer service and Mark Stansfeild was very helpful.
He said that he would send me a replacement box.
Within an hour I got an email saying that they are sending the replacement.
Mark Stansfeild was great.
Fast and professional.
I would definitely recommend this company.

Mark Stansfield was unbelievably helpful. He went over and above and beyond to send product samples, explore all options, answer my many questions. Communication was just excellent.

I ordered the JF Outdoor Composite Interlocking Deck Tiles from Build Direct. Build Direct is easy to work with. Helped me change my order a day after placing in order to change color choice. Product arrived timely. Tiles seem solid and well made. I think the word "interlocking" is an overstatement. They do hold together, just not with a positive snap together feel like a Lego block. The slats on the tile are screwed on securely. I expected the slats to be precise and consistent like the were all made on the same jig. In reality the tolerances are loose enough so they do not leave a perfect + shape at the intersection of 4 tile corners. The lack of precision also leaves some tiles look like they are not quite flat because the spaces are not parallel.
Overall the floor looks good and I'd buy again. I just expected a composite factory made product to have tighter tolerances.

Mark has been a great help with our renovation! We have ordered floors directly through him on multiple occasions. he's extremely responsive making a stressful renovation seamless!

I ordered my 5 samples and they crossed off "5" on the packing slip, wrote "2" and only sent me two samples. When I ordered more, they cancelled my order. How rude. At least the shipping of my 2 samples was fast.

Mark was extremely helpful in our purchase. He helped us pick the right product and provided samples and insight. Great experience overall. Thank you!
