Shocking way of working! We viewed a property on Saturday last and we’re only the second ones to see it, we fell in love with the property immediately and put in a substantial offer way above the asking price and requested the vendor was informed immediately with a view to taking it off the market if accepted? I was told at the property by the agent that he would, I rang on Monday for some news on our bid only to be told that it hadn’t been submitted and wouldn’t be until they had got feedback from other viewings!! In other words they were promoting a bidding war! Long story short we missed out on the property of our dreams because they like playing God with peoples lives!! We might not have got the property even if they’d done as I’d asked but to lie to us and purposely withhold our bid until it suited them is immoral unethical and down right wrong! Another much better estate agent told me it was a shocking way to do business but that’s Bees for you!! We are still looking and purposely avoiding properties that are listed with this awful company!!!

I was interested in buying a leasehold property in Crewe, and I needed to know how much the ground rent and service charge are. I contacted them but they didn't have the above information: how on earth is possible that you put for sale a leasehold property and you don't ask that to the landlord? They said that they'll call me back with the information, but it never happened. I send them many emails, but they never replied. I tried with the chat, but after more than 1 hour with stupid words the agency person disappear. I lost 3 days with them for nothing. I'm a property investor and I already bought and sold many properties, but I never saw such a lack of professionalism in an estate agency.

I am selling my house with Madison Emery-Hyson, she has been a god send! The amount of running around and hassle she had to put up with from my housing association was ridiculous and I can guarantee that she needs a pay rise!!!!!!!!!!! She constantly kept me up to date and would email me (what seemed to be) out of her normal work hours and it was always a pleasure to chat to her.

I got a call back from BJB in CREWE agent Stacey just few minutes after making a call to book a house viewing. She is absolutely wonderful. Kindly answered all questions about a property and buying process. Many thanks !

I have recently sold a rental property through BJB in Crewe and have been very pleased with their service throughout the process.
In particular I would like to mention Ryan who continually went above and beyond his duties in order for the property to exchange and complete. He was an absolute star and I would highly recommend BJB based on my dealings with Ryan and the rest of the excellent team! Thank you!

Was looking to find a place in Crewe to rent out whilst I was on a job up North. Dealt with a chap called Ben who was most helpful and accomodating, Seemed a top man and a credit to his firm, so unlike many of the estate agents I've dealt with down south over the past 30 years.

For the third – or perhaps fourth time – I have today had a disappointing experience with Butters John Bee, which may also be impacting their clients.

On each occasion the same routine:

Try to book an appointment only to be told the earliest viewing is a week later;
Tried to confirm the appointment on the day but unable to get through to them;
Turned up to view and the agent either doesn’t turn up or they turn up to tell me that the property has already been sold.

On none of these occasions have I been asked to make a counter-offer to see if they might be able to get a better price for their client.

If you were their client, wouldn’t you be interested to see if a higher price could be achieved…?

I have been dealing with Kylie Palin for the recent purchase of my property.
Everything was dealt with in a professional manner and I was kept up to date on a regular basis regarding the process of the sale both by phone and email. Anything I requested was dealt with promptly. I felt I was always treated with respect and in a friendly manner.

Absolutely awful service from the Crewe branch. Discourteous, disorganised and seemingly incompetent. I have spent hours trying to phone to arrange viewings of properties for sale (more than one) and have failed to arrange a viewing on any property in which I have expressed interest. When I eventually managed to get through with regard to one particular property I had to endure listening to how busy they are and how many bookings they have to take to view properties! Needless to say they were unable to offer me a convenient viewing time even though I offered a lot of flexibility from my side, Last time I eventually managed to speak with someone I was asked to register my details even though I had registered them more than once previously (and had previously received emails from the company confirming my registration). The lady with whom I was speaking insisted I had never registered even when I insisted I had and had received email confirmation. Do they all operate the same system in the same branch?? I was asked if I was financially able to proceed to purchase and when I said yes and that I had already sold my own house, I was then asked whether I was a first time buyer!! This was incredible.... words escape me! Very curt attitude over the phone from some of the staff. I had also recently used this company (a different local branch) to carry out a valuation with a view to selling my house. I felt that they had undervalued it and invited two other estate agents to undertake valuations who both valued my property considerably higher and so I chose one of them. My house sold within 3 weeks at almost the full asking price and I had no shortage of interest in my property. If I had used Butters John Bee to market my house, I would have been over £22,000 poorer plus would have paid considerably higher fees. If anyone is reading this to help decide whether to use Butters John Bee, please be very careful in making your decision and look at other review sites too. I cannot recommend this company at all - especially the branch in Crewe.

I have bought and sold 16 houses and have never come across such incompetence as this Crewe estate agents. We are 48 hours from completing on a property they are selling and no one will speak to me. We haven’t even exchanged contracts as the vendors solicitors will not return calls. It is up to the estate agents to chase Solicitors and vendors and keep purchasers informed and not ignore them. I will take further action against them.

I purchased a property in 2021 which was listed by Butter's John Bee's Crewe office. The initial contact process was poor with difficulty being experienced in speaking to someone who could assist with arranging a viewing. We were further frustrated by unnecessary obstacles in arranging a viewing of the property, allegedly due to Covid restrictions but which were not in line with the approach of other Estate Agents we had spoken to. We were only able to view the property we eventually purchased by escalating the matter to their branch manager and even then we received no apology. When calling the branch subsequently it continued to be difficult to speak to someone who could assist us with calls regularly routed to a 'Concierge' service which may as well have been a voicemail. On speaking to our seller they too felt their experience in dealing with Butters John Bee was poor. I will not be using or recommending Butters John Bee to list any future properties and believe their communications and general customer interactions are very poor.

Avoid this company if you want to rent your house out . Terrible customer service as unable to speak to anybody , they don’t return your calls . Paid for a fully managed service but you wouldn’t think so as often had to contact the tenants myself . Moved lettings agents this time around due to the poor service .

The 5 stars are for Natalie at the Crewe branch, who has worked very hard for me as a landlord. The staff at BJB are trying their hardest to do a fantastic job despite there obviously not being enough staff to manage the workload. Thank you Natalie, keep up the great work!

Get somebody to contact you back is impossible. I have been calling them for ages to report a problem at the house, nobody bothers to contact you back or send the engineer
