Be very very careful!

A lot of the reviews here are based on the customer service and advice given by James when purchasing this warranty. Indeed, many have mentioned the extra 3 or in my case 6 months that were thrown in. It certainly does sound amazing. Their website makes some really bold claims including “if it breaks, we’ll fix it.” “All parts covered’ and “vehicle issues are stressful, making a claim shouldn’t be.” Sadly, the reality of making a claim is very different. As I was driving along, I experienced a sudden violent knocking and juddering noice coming from my vehicle. I immediately took it to my local Garage. After the issue was diagnosed we looked through the warranty to see if it would be covered. The Garage, who deal with a substantial amount of warranty claims through many different companies were sure that I would be covered. The website notes a claim helpline that suggests the Garage should call for a quick decision (often in less than 2 hours!). The garage called the hotline and after 37 minutes of being on hold was cut off. They tried a further twice and again after calls of over 30 minutes were unanswered. As time is money for a small independent garage, he said he wasn’t prepared to wait any further and emailed the claims department instead. Upon telling me this, I thought I should try the claims hotline and indeed, I was lucky to be answered after only 28 minutes on hold. Only to be told that if the claim had been submitted by email it would take 48 to log and get passed for assessment. She went on to tell me that the Garage should have called the hotline! I explained the issues and asked if they could contact the garage but no, the garage had to call. I went back to the Garage who said they wouldn’t waste more time waiting on the phone but if I wanted to go to the garage and make the call, they would speak to the claims adviser if they answered. So, I cycled 6 miles a to the garage to make the call. After 20 minutes on hold I was cut off. The second call lasted 16 minutes before again I was cut off. In frustration, I called the sales helpline, which was unsurprisingly answered by James on the second ring. I explained my issues and he said he would escalate and I would receive a call back in a few minutes. The call back didn’t happen, but I received an email asking for all the information that the garage had already sent. Back to James who informed me that nothing further could be done that evening as they were about to close but I would be contacted in the morning. A further 6 mile cycle home followed. The following morning, I received a email from the claims team asking for more information. I replied that the garage were best placed to give them the information they required and I asked them to contact the garage. They assured me that they would reach out to the garage. An hour later, a further email was received saying that they needed to appoint an independent 3rd party engineer so that he could make a fair and evidence based assessment. I asked if they had contacted the garage and was told no. That afternoon, I made a complaint to Buyawarranty and received an email back saying they apologised for not being able to contact the claims team and they would review in house (short for we wont do anything) but an engineer was still needed and I could wait for an engineer to be appointed or as a gesture of goodwill, they would just refund my money and cancel the policy (short for that will be a cheaper option than paying out the £1300 claim.) I suggested that I wanted to continue the claim and asked for the engineer to be appointed. I was told yesterday that the engineer would be appointed and I would be informed when the inspection would take place. Today, I have received an email saying that based on the Garage report (they still haven't spoken to the Garage) that my claim is rejected. I have now been without my vehicle for 4 days and was waiting for a 3rd party engineer which now appears not to be happening. Please look further than the great customer service provided by James, the 3 or 6 month freebies and the bold claims on their website and ask yourself if the warranty is actually worth the paper its written on or if Buyawarranty is just based on a pack of lies. UPDATE 28.04.26 A couple of hours after I received the rejection email a further email was sent formally retracting the rejection email stating it was sent “prematurely” and an independent engineer would be appointed by the end of the next working day. That didn’t happen! I reached out to them as suggested in the reply to my review and got no response from Management. A week without my vehicle and I am now left to get the repairs done at my expense and seek to recover my loss through the County Court. YOU SERIOUSLY DON’T WANT TO BUY A WARRANTY FROM THIS COMPANY!!

New Warranty For New Van

James took his time to explain everything in detail. Also had a lot of patience showing me around the site and what to do if I needed to make use of the warranty in the future. Let us hope that if I ever need to make a claim and use this warranty it is as good and as quick as it was taking it out.

Great customer service given by ash miller

Was looking for new cover for warranty and faced few issues to process my purchase but got call back straight away from ash willer and he went out of hes way to sort my problem out and give me good price with better warranty thank you so much for your great service ash it’s much appreciated. 🤝

James made the whole process easy and personal. Gave me a good deal with a bit of back and forth negotiation on the price and cover.
