Cake inn Harrow Weald branch.
Not deserving of any stars. Spoiled my daughters birthday.
We ordered a Hazelnut cake from cake inn harrow Weald branch for my daughters birthday. However the wallnuts on the cake were rancid. So we decided to complain to them straight after we had tried it and even showed them a sample of the cake but they still wouldn't believe us. Instead they wanted me to test there nuts from the shop and kept saying that they used the same nuts. Is not about our test is all about u have used rancid nuts which is not acceptable. Not only one person eat that i order for 6 person. We all feel that nuts test was weird like rancid walnuts. Also they haven't mentioned about on the website they r using walnuts. We r paying money for good quality not for bad. This is not first time I order. I ordered in the past many time never had problems before.

I ordered a cake for a very special occasion—what arrived was stale, clearly not fresh, and completely underwhelming. It was honestly embarrassing to serve to guests.

But what’s worse? The complete lack of customer service.

I reached out multiple times through their website form and email, hoping for at least an acknowledgement or apology. Nothing. Not a single reply. For a company that boldly advertises:

“Committed to Customer Service – We’re here to help at every stage of your order…”

This couldn’t be further from the truth. Customer service is non-existent. It feels like once they take your money, they’re done.

The website says:

“Questions? Concerns? We’re here to help.”

This is FALSE advertising. I had a genuine concern, and they have ignored it completely.

I’m genuinely shocked that a cake company operating in 2025 would show so little care for its customers. A simple reply could have resolved this, but the silence speaks volumes.

It’s not just about the stale cake—it’s the lack of human decency in acknowledging and resolving a valid complaint.

To anyone reading: Please think twice before ordering. If something goes wrong, don’t expect support.

And to Cake Inn: if you really are committed to customer service, now would be a good time to show it.

Extremely disappointed with the order I made from Tower Hamlets branch. The cake tasted old, dry and stale. Ruined my sons birthday party as the guests were not able to eat the cake.

My order shows delivered but I haven’t received it

I recently ordered on of your cakes ( 1 hour ) on Saturday 17th at 14.10pm to be collected on Monday 19th at 6.00pm from Leeds.
On arrival at 6pm the cake wasn't ready and by the look of the staff who were looking through the order book for a confirmation it probably hadn't even been started.
I was then to to come back at 7pm as they were " just finishing it off "53 hrs from ordering it online.
I turned back up at 7pm, yet again still not ready, they just wanted to confirm the writing I wanted on it.
Finally the cake was done, I took it to my car and passed it to my wife who opened the box and there was a spelling mistake, one letter missing. Off I go again back in the shop to get it rectified, but she couldn't even correct it without double checking the order form as thought it was going to bankrupt the place for 1 letter..
Finally got the cake ( 1 hr chocolate sponge , 53 hrs later )
The next day my wife took the cake to work and cut into it .. not even chocolate , just a sponge cake

What an absolute shambles of a company ..
A 1hr cake that takes 53 hrs with spelling mistakes and not even a chocolate sponge cake !!
Needless to say I won't be purchasing for Cake inn ever again

I am writing to express my disappointment following a recent experience at the East Ham branch on Barking Road. I purchased a cake online for my son and, upon collection, also bought a balloon in-store for £7.99. Unfortunately, the balloon popped within 2–3 minutes of walking, prompting me to return to the shop to request a replacement, as I believed it may have been faulty. To my surprise, the shopkeeper declined to offer a replacement—even as a goodwill gesture—and instead offered to sell me another balloon for £5, which I found unreasonable. As a loyal customer who has been purchasing cakes from this branch for the past two years for family and friends, I was very disappointed by the lack of customer service and care. Additionally, the cake I ordered online was meant to come with a complimentary toy, which was not provided at the time of collection. This experience has left me feeling disheartened, and I no longer intend to purchase from this branch. It is unfortunate to lose a loyal local customer over what could have been a simple and respectful resolution.

Bracknell Cakeinn not recommended!
Honestly was my first bad experience In Bracknell by food shop!In special by cake shop ,personal was so rude,I tried to explain my issues with the purchase,no matter how much are affected my kids…She tried to said only her opinion,she said to me to eat with her from cake… honestly my opinion effective doesn’t matter for this management !She refused to give me a reason whay that fresh cream was going yellow and looking old making…,was a mistake are perfectly understandable,but she didn’t give me any opportunity or solution with this bad attitude,and experience,definitely I didn’t live anything like this…,because my best friend was eating and she accused pain of the stomach,and diarrhoea!Definitely money are nothing one these days…but health are all!
Definitely …never I don’t not recommend to my family and friends!!!

Best cakes I had ordered!
I needed a lot of cakes for my son’s nursery birthday party and I ordered one vegan cake, one strawberry vanilla Spider man cake and 34 heart pots.
Aside of the design of all of them which was amazing and beautiful, the kids and the teachers devoured the cakes! Everyone was really pleased with the taste and how good it was.
Didn’t have anything left to take home! Which is a good thing! 😃

The icing on the cake started to melt and fall off. When I contacted the Northampton branch they said icing cakes don't even last 24 hours despite what their website states but they didn't provide a refund

Ordered a cake for my daughters birthday party and showed them the reference and they basically told me that they couldnt complete half the stuff that was on the cake but assured me that they would do something else to make the cake at least have some appearance. I trusted them and even reminded them that i wanted a nice design on top of the cake as they wouldnt do what i asked for. Anyways the cake was given to me and me thinking that they would do what they told me, i left it till it was time to cut. When i opened it i was shocked and completely embarresed to see that the cream was completely rough, there were only 2 little flowers on the side and the name i gave them was wrong and smudged. I cannot explain how embarresed i was to present this cake to everyone. I had paid 80 british pound for a cake made and designed by a 4 year old. I had to spend 30 minutes completely fixing the shit they gave me infront of the guests that had added to my embarresment. Honestly if your looking for somewhere to get your cakes do not order here. I paid 80 pounds for a cake that looked like it was made in 10 minutes and designed by a 4 year old. If theres anyone in cakeinn who can compensate me.

Do not even bother with this cake shop I order a cakebfrom them that was ment to be Victoria spong on the inside with pink writing that said happy 4th birthday instead I got a cream filled cake that said happy 14th birthday. And when I told them they had it wrong the just top the one off and did not even try to make it look neat what a waste of money I would never use them again and don't think anyone should ever use them

Beautiful cake. We ordered a 10 inch birthday cake and it was truly delicious. The decorations, personalisation and presentation box are excellent. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

We love cake inn peterborough, we use them to celebrate every birthday and special event. The mango and raspberry is a particular family favourite, however we love all the flavours. They are super quick, delivery is always perfect, unless needed within the hour, and then collection is no problem as its easy to find and park to collect. I've never found anywhere you can collect in an hour, let alone somewhere that the tastes so incredible. Without a doubt the best in the business for price too. Absolutely 5 stars guys x
