We had a fairly good RV that let us drive over 6000 km in 30 days. The only issue we had, with one slide out, was solved within 12 hours. But vehicles with 50 000 km become rather noisy while driving. (vibrations)
In summary, we had a good experience.

The process of renting an campervan is fairly stress free. Newer models 2 to 4 years old and in good repair. Would have been five stars but I deducted one because it was super expensive ( especially with any extras and a 3000$ refundable deposit if returned in the same condition). That being said go with the Platinum plus package( drop and go included so no need to worry about cleaning, emptying waste tanks etc, when returning the RV). We would recommend!

Our experience with this company are great mostly because of the people in Halifax who were just great in helping us. The RV received was in great shape (we drove 3800km through rugged terrain without one problem) it was pretty new (48k km) and in great shape. The communication with the main office in Calgary sometimes was a bit difficult, but they always replied promptly. So in general I would say: a great company. 1 point of (positive) criticism: make sure to put down clearly where you have to pay extra for (northern surcharge for example) and give your clients a better start up package. the one provided now is very limited. Other than that: I would highly recommend Candream if you want to explore Canada

Vehicle preparation was poor. They failed to replace the propane tanks with full ones (as promised) so we ran out, typically at a bad time. They also failed to fill the DEF fluid so we had to first learn about it and then get some. They were not sorry and just found enough faults with the vehicle on return to cover the costs of reimbursing. The manager either didn't know what he was talking about or lied to me about the DEF saying it was my responsibility to fill it but I didn't travel far enough for this to be the case (it's like running out of screen wash on day two - it should last longer).

Expect and be prepared for the worst, old style hire company tactics - ie casual pickup ("Don't worry about that scratch" "we don't look at that" etc) but strict pickup ("Scratch here, damage here" "Not clean" etc). Take pictures and video to prove it was existing.

Be clear on the condition to return the vehicle. I expected normal road grime would be ok and this is confirmed in the handbook but the manager insisted it must be spotless (ie pressure washed). The only really dirty area was the wings just behind the front wheels but this is normal for the type of vehicle and roads in Nova Scotia. Like I said probably an easy why to cover costs of their mistakes by charging cleaning fee.

I did cause some damage by grazing a tree and the charges to repair were reasonable. There is free wifi at the site, coffee and toilets. Not their fault but be aware taxi's to and from the site are expensive.

We had a great experience with our truck camper. Everything was clean and in good working condition. NEGATIVE you cannot fully insure your risk with CanaDream. They don’t offer the coverage and nor do they refer you to a partner who will. For that reason I would NOT rent a camper from them if I could not find my own coverage. PS Staff was great.

Good Service at the station in Elmsdale, but the time for the vehicle handover are to late in the daytime and the delivery are too early.

Übergabe des Fahrzeugs war pünktlich, es wurde umfassend und mit Herzblut erklärt. Das ganze Team war einfach nett! Der Truckcamper war in einem einwandfreien Zustand und wurde uns sehr sauber übergeben. Für uns war klar, wir kommen wieder.
In unserem speziellen Fall hat uns der Chef auf unglaublich pragmatische und freundliche Art bei der Lösung eines echten Problems helfen können, das nicht im entferntesten sein Unternehemn betroffen hat....richtig cool! Vielen Dank nochmal!

Great camper rental. Great camper. We caused damage, drove the awning off. In between we went back to the rental company in Halifax where they were very helpful and friendly. The remains of the awning were removed and we were able to go on our way again.

Great service, all in time, friendly employees

When we arrived to pickup our RV the staff were ready to greet us, sign us in, go over our rental agreement, answer all questions we had and show us our rental RV. The host and the entire staff were friendly and courteous. They offered to keep our travel bags so we didn't have to keep them in the RV with us which was a great help.
When we arrived back, again the staff were ready for us and the checkout process was quick and easy. Can't say enough about how friendly and helpful the staff is even during the booking process which we completed months earlier.

Very nice people! Everything was perfect! Worth it coming back!

We had an early pickup, not sure if that influenced the service, as drop off for other units is at the same time and they are busy. The service could have been improved, the focus seem to be on confirming previous damage to the unit which was sometimes hard to find (very minor like a paint chip) but made you aware of what it might be like/cost you when you returned it. We were first time renters and had some trouble finding where everything was, like the "tool kit" if you want to call the junk that, was in the bucket under the sink, etc. They missed putting in the extra toilet paper we purchased. I would recommend that they have a check list with locations of things when you arrive. Even though the info is in the brochure they could let you know about some new features such as auto braking, distance control on the speed control, engine braking controls etc.

Nice People and an good wide camper. We had some problems with the electric. But we find out de problem.

The service when picking up the motor home was not so good because the employee didn’t have time for us. Not all damages were documented and it took us 1,5 hours to go through the motor home. When returning it the service was excellent.

Very kindly received by the same woman when picking up and returning the RV. She guided us perfectly with the procedure for picking up, but also again when returning.

Small issues that became annoying. The folding kitchen counter shelf popped out on the first day out. Tried to repair & they popped out again. The outside cargo storage door fasteners were very difficult to deal with as were the locks. The entrance door was difficult. The kitchen knives were dull.
