As soon as they get paid, they stop caring. I did 10 months of alignments and my teeth were not fixed, so I had to PAY AN EXTRA $400 for refinements. After 5 months of refinements my teeth were STILL not fixed, and when I told them I needed another set of refinements they said I was "not eligible," and offered no alternate solutions. In the end, I ended up paying $2400 and my teeth are still not fixed. Customer service is absolutely terrible, their files are all messed up and they can't keep track of your case, and you'll end up throwing your money away. DO NOT USE CANDID!!!!
No follow through or customer service
I followed all of my Candid orthodontist instructions, took all my scans on time, and completed my treatment plan. At the end of my treatment, my molars were no longer in alignment. My orthodontist had my cut my holding retainer down so my back teeth could move. When I called to get new impressions done so I could get new retainers I was told that they would no longer treat me, they wouldn't send me holding retainers, and that I needed to go to a local orthodontist to get custom retainers made. This is after calling multiple times and spending more than an hour on hold, and speaking to a Chinglish customer representative. ð¡

After an initial 20 tray treatment plan my teeth and bite were still not right. I got a refinement plan of 13 trays and teeth were still not straight. I did everything right and by the book. I decided not to do another set of refinements because at this point I was just tired of it. I wear my retainer nightly and have replaced every 6 months. I recently moved and misplaced the retainer. I ordered a new one, was told it would be expedited. It has been over a month with no retainer. I have no faith on it fitting when it gets here. Let's see if they'll refund me for it if it ever shows up. Been so unhappy with this company.
Iâd try a different company
I enjoyed doing scans of my teeth in the office. However, towards the end of my treatment I ended up with a gap in my front teeth which I never had. We were attempting to do revisions but I could never get the impressions done properly. Because they hadnât heard from me in 60 days, they decided to drop me and stop treating me. Theyâd asked for 3 sets of impressions, X-rays, pictures, and intake forms. It was just too much. And apparently didnât get back to them in time so I have to love with this gap now. Super unhappy. Disappointed for sure. Now I have to go elsewhere to correct this.
Definitely a scam
Definitely a scam. My teeth seemed to be improving and straightening during most of the treatment plan. The aligners were painful often but I considered this part of the process. When I completed my treatment my bite was completely off. My teeth grind together and I can barely chew. One tooth was aligned so poorly that it broke off. I now have jaw pain and have difficulty chewing. I spent the better part of the month of December trying to contact the company. Finally I was able to speak to someone in another country who could barely communicate with me. I told her I needed a retreatment due to issues. She said that my 30 day window had passed and there was nothing they could do.

Let me start off by saying that this is the worst company ever to have existed. Iâve had the worst experience these past 3 years and would not wish the experience I had on anyone. Horrible, unprofessional, unclear about instructions at all! I am 3 years with this company and my teeth are still not straight.
They decided to implement a new system called Dental Monitoring which they happened to forget to explain to me in the middle of the treatment and forgot to send me a scan box.. when I had realized that something was missing they claimed that they could not give me my refinements because I have not been scanning my teeth. I told them that this was not my fault; they had never explained to me nor had they sent a scanner!!!!! They then gave me a choice, either send new impressions back within 60 days or we stop treatment. So I did, I sent in my photos and impressions within those 60 days. Obviously because they are money hungry , they claimed they received my impressions past the 60 day mark even though thereâs proof via email that they received it before. So here I am 3 years later, unhappy, crooked teeth and no treatment. They refuse to help me and closed me account. So ridiculous what a waste of money! Run away from this company!!!

I have personally experienced a lot of discomfort, pain, and distress throughout my treatment, including development of a jaw disorder. I have seen a lot of negative reviews and imagine there are many others who feel they did not receive the service and care that was promised.

Do NOT use them. Ive been in âtreatmentâ for over a year. My teeth are still bucked and was told that there was nothing further they could for me and stopped my treatment. Then I kept getting notifications to upload new pics? But I was told they couldnât help me any further, wasted $1800 for crooked teeth still and now gum recession, the Aligners rubbed my gums and I constantly complained. I was told to trim them by the customer service rep! Not the Ortho! My teeth are so far spaced now and my bite is off. My teeth are still crooked. Do not look for a deal when wanting to fix your retry, Cándid is terrible. I STILL get notifications to upload my pics for treatment but today they sent me an email, telling me I need new Aligners? Lol. Am I Iâm treatment or not? Also, when I first started they were sending emails to leave them a review, how do you review a product you havenât tried. Worst experience ever!

Four year patient
I have been with Candid since they began in 2018. I finished THIRD re-do alignment treatment and was told I had up to six months to talk to them about it. Since these convos were mostly over the phone, I canât âproveâ to them that they promised to helped me. My teeth have been chipping and Iâve been getting hairline fractures due to their treatment plan. I even had to pay extra to be reviewed by an orthodontist who didnât do ANYTHING. Iâd never recommend this company to anyone. I loved the people Iâve talked to, but today I was pretty much shut down.
Horrible service
Horrible service! If you need anything extra from the besides the retainers youâll have to reach out constantly, and still get nothing. Unfortunately after almost a year of treatment I needed a new scanning box so I reached out to an agent who said I would receive a tracking number within 10 days.
Well it has been now 2 whole months, I have been reaching out almost weekly to check on the tracking number and always get told that I will receive an email within 24 hours and have not received a single thing. So basically Iâm stuck in my treatment and they donât do absolutely anything.

I went thru a treatment witg them and later had a custom retainer made because my teeth had changed with lots of work done on it. The material they use for retainer is cheap and brittle didnt last me three months before it cracked all over. When I went to go order a new retainer they had completely deleted my login data and my profile for my customized retainer I paid an additional 600 for on top of their main treatment plan. The store location went out of business and I found out the smile store who had partnered with candid wanted nothing to do with candidn anymore. Its been over two weeks no word from candid and my teeth have already shifted horribly all because they think its okay to deletr data I paid 600 dollars for. Do not use candid ever. They are under water and not reliable at all. How are they stillnin business???
Very poor experience
Had a treatment that lasted 18 months. First set of aligners did a poor job and my teeth were not aligned well. They sent a second set of aligners based on another simulation that clearly would not solve the issue.
I went back and forth with support and asked for the ortho to verify their simulation, as it didn't match the reality of my teeth.
As expected, it didn't fix the problem I saw.
Customer support person (Alison) was rude when I asked simple questions about possible next step. As soon as they got off script, they didn't make much sense anymore.
This company is a SCAM
This company is a SCAM. The "orthodontist" has no connection with the treatment of individuals. I am on my 5th round of retainers, due to this company not listening to the concerns of the patient. Steps 1-7 of this stage have had a response from, they say, the orthodontist, that things are moving well and to continue. Now, the only respond I get is to stay on the same step over and over again and that I have to wear the retainers for at least 22 hours a day, and use the gummies 3-5 times per day. Well, I wear the retainers for 23 hours per day, and use the gummies for 4-5 hours per day. I have for the entire last two steps. The retainers have moved my teeth as much as they can. They fit the way that every other set have fit before I switch. Plus, my "orthodontist" is in California and last responded at 4:30am their time. This clearly is a scam. It is obvious that This company wants to create an environment where they do not finish my teeth, and make an excuse that it's because I'm not following the orthodontists procedures. It is obvious that the "orthodontist" is not even the one responding. When I call to talk to someone on the phone, they just hang up on me, or refuse to call me back or get someone who can actually help me finish. The only response I ever get from these BBB complaints is "call us" to which it never gets resolved. This company is a scam.
Donât recommend
I ended up using the aligners for nearly 1.5 years because at the end of the first set of aligners I couldnât bite down at all.. you would think they would have known that would be a problem in advance. Instead they try to put it on me saying that i had agreed to the treatment plan and they had told me (iâm sure somewhere in fine print) that the correction wouldnât be perfect. Well⊠after 2 months if waiting for new aligners i went through the refinement treatment and still canât bite down on one side but i gave up honestly because talking to customer service is like talking to a brick wall. They say there is a real orthodontist but itâs more like a robot that gives out the same pre-scripted advice and customer service via chat wasnât helpful either. I wish I had spent a little more and gone with invisalign. Only gave the two stars because my teeth do look straighter but theyâre not functional now because i canât chew
Lack of Transparency
Absolutely disgusted that I wasted my money with this company. Repeatedly being told "Your teeth still need some time to move in this step. Please keep wearing your current aligners until your next scan" but then magically being approved later in the day after 1-2 instances of this per step. I contact Candid reps to discuss (which you can only do over chat or phone, but why not email?) and was met with the response about it being the Dr.'s call. Right after I did that the first time I was magically approved to move on.
The initial consult was a joke as well. It was obvious that the staff were just going from a script. Quoted a 6-month timeline; the box came and found out I'd be wearing these for 8 months. Here I am 9.5 months later with two steps to go. Incidentally, the office I visited closed two weeks after my visit (I tried contacting them to stop treatment).

In case someone from Candid sees this, when people ask about my treatment, I am sharing my terrible experience and telling them to go with another company. 0/10 for Candid. Would be happy to discuss it anytime, Candid.

Terrible support and customer service
There is very little support and no ability to actually speak to an orthodontist. All responses on the scans you self take are canned and there is no one to discuss with beyond a chat bot. My treatment continues to be delayed because the trays don't fit correctly and a few teeth aren't moving. Ultimately, after wearing same trays for 3-4 weeks (that I should be wearing for 2) they tell me to move on, despite no movement in the same teeth that caused the delay. This means my treatment plan is going to be months longer than anticipated for no real reason. When I asked if I could opt to move forward and just live with the teeth that aren't moving they said I can but then if anything goes wrong they're not responsible and I'll have to pay more for any fixes. I've also had gaps develop in my teeth that have caused significant pain as food continuously gets stuck between them. I had to go to an actual dentist because the pain was so bad and they couldn't figure out why Candid had re-aligned my teeth the way that they did. I also opted to pay $299 more to add teeth whitening to my treatment. I didn't realize I had to complete treatment before starting my aligners so I reached out to see how I could use remaining whitening treatment. They responded, "sorry, you can't. it has to be used before you start treatment." TERRIBLE response and no support. Recommend paying a little more and having a better experience with Invisalign or another provider.

My four bottom middle teeth got very loose not even three months into treatment. I had to stop for fear of losing them. They would not refund any of my money. And I never should've been approved because I already had some visible bone loss that they should've told me about when they gave me the initial exam. I would not recommend Candid to anybody
