Very poor web experience. Have tried to log in on numerous occasions without any joy. I spoke to an agent who wouldn't help, only telling me to download their App, which I can't find. Have also emailed their support team but have had no response. This is pretty poor given they are dealing with peoples' living arrangements
I had a call with the Support team about one of the items that were missing being verified in my rental passport and Louis , the agent who took my call, was fast and supportive and my issue was solved in less than 2 minutes. Coming from a Support background this is what is a great and effective support team is. Louis was amazing!
The portal Canopy appears to be well-organised and offers an all-in-one service for renting and related document verification.
However, accessing bank details via another intermediary, Plaid, is a bit uncomfortable, especially for people moving from another country.
I would have preferred a direct interaction with the landlord or agency for such document verification.
Anyway, as a portal, Canopy does a pretty neat job.
I used Canopy through my agency to complete my referencing, and I found the app itself very easy to use. The reference was completed quickly, which was great.
I did run into an issue with part of my reference that could have affected my ability to rent. I called Canopy, and Ruvini did an excellent jobâshe went above and beyond to get the issue sorted.
Thanks to her actions, I was able to move forward with the referencing process and secure the house we wanted.

I have just been helped by the most helpful and delightful guy at Canopy called Luis. I was having a nightmare as my daughterâs rental agency were requiring additional information we thought had already been dealt with by another Referencing company. Anyway, Luis could not have been more helpful, phoning me back after heâd looked into the issue and then very patiently talking me through what I needed to do on the online system. He was a pleasure to deal with and Iâm very grateful - Thsnk you Luis.

Incredibly time consuming. Tried twice to set up link to bank and despite it showing as an active link on my account, Canopy reported it as failed. I had to resort to sending bank statements to prove my income and despite having a literally flawless credit rating, they weren't able to verify my income. All in all a nightmare experience and made the letting process much more stressful than it should have. My advice: avoid this company and any agents that choose to use them.
The site is easy to follow, however most payslips are now online so downloading these, screen shot and down loading again is a bit faffy. Thank goodness my employer and current landlord are on the ball and tech savvy (landlord). Itâs a secure site and a thorough search all for the good.
