Excelent, answer

Carbone.io est un excellent service. La création de rapports est nettement plus simple qu’avec les solutions traditionnelles. J’apprécie particulièrement la possibilité de travailler directement dans Word avec un rendu très lisible. Les outils proposés sont puissants, ergonomiques et vraiment agréables à utiliser. Une très bonne expérience.

I give it 5 stars because it's very useful and easy to use, however, there is no history tracking accessible by users.

Amazing if you want to automate things without having too much of a technical background but you're willing to learn basic knowledge of JSON. Definetly give it a try.

Despite our report was quite complex, Carbone (as a tool) managed to handle it brilliantly. It had all the features we needed, except just a couple of them (but they are working on them).
The support is awesome, they always managed to give me a solution to my problems when writing the template. They are super fast repliers too.
The only thing which didn't satisfy me was their website documentation, but luckily they are working on it and they are going to release a more clearer one soon.

Carbone support is by far the quickest and most helpful I've come across for a third party vendor. Their instant chat really is instant and they have always resolved any query I have. It's great to know they are at hand to help solve my problems

We are currently trying out to find a tool that could generate a word document output for our customers, But I think we ended up getting a lot more than we expected and I will push to apply this tool to all our customers, even current ones with PDF.

At first, is not the most intuitive tool, there's a learning curve. And personally, not being a developer, is not always easy to understand the syntax. Even with the support of developer colleagues, was hard as well for them to understand. The documentation is not bad, but the examples are rather simple and that's rarely the case of the situations I have. It's quite annoying the id keeps changing each time we lose session, so we need to configure our system as well and the upload and preview process will require you to close documents, upload again, but I guess this last one also relates to windows. Loaded HTML text vertical spacing is not easy or straightforward to manage, but there are some workarounds.

But this wasn't worst than other tools we already use. It basically as a solution for most pains I have with other tools. One nice upgrade would be to have a solution that would allow to have the code without taking huge amount of space in the layout, because we have a lot of exceptions as variations to meet so the layout becomes hard to navigate and predict.

On the other hand, like I said, it really is a smart tool, allowing also to store the JSON file locally, to live view the edits is an amazing feature, being able to work directly from word (using tools we already know), cuts a lot of time reassembling customer templates, and a lot more. In a way, the reason why I have all these complains, is because this tool is extremely versatile. Still they seem to work hard in make it better and also, I haven't yet came across any bug.

Also, whatever the documentation and syntax complexity adds in pain, the prompt help from the support team, makes up for it.

Definitely recommend it

Generating PDF file has always been a pain for us for the last 15 years. We went through multiple commercial and in-house solutions, and none of us ever impressed us as much as Carbone.io did for ease of use.
