This company was great for selling my Volt

This company was great for selling my Volt through. They were fair with the offer given the issues with the car. The driver who picked up the car (Harman) was also patient and understanding when something unexpected came up and he had to leave and then come back later to get the car. The price quoted to me was exactly what I was paid out the day they picked up my vehicle

Amazing experience

Amazing experience! I would definitely do business with them again.

They gave me a higher estimate for my car than I received from multiple dealerships. I booked a drop-off appointment, and the entire process was completed in less than 30 minutes.

A big thank you to Zee and Yousef for making everything so smooth, professional, and hassle-free. Highly recommended!

You can trust CarDoor with buying your vehicle

I was between the option of going to clutch, CarDoor or to the dealer to sell my vehicle. I was extremely hesitant with these online services claiming they’ll provide you with the best offers and honour them.
Clutch offered me a decent value, but they took forever to respond to any of my questions and I felt more like just another sale with them, not a human being.
CarDoor was initially extremely friendly with me. Spoke to a sales agent name Zee. I gave him all the details of my vehicle and gave him full disclosure of any issues my vehicle had. He was very personable with me and made me as a customer feel valued. He told me he was going to call me back in a couple days and give me an offer.
Over those couple of days I received an offer from the dealership that would put me at a loss. I was a lot more comfortable with going with them because it’s easier and I’ve always done that in the past.

When Zee called me back he gave me a competitive offer. I was honest with him about my hesitation and he put my mind at ease and assured me I can put my trust in him and his company. I begrudgingly agreed and scheduled an appointment.
The appointment was great and the transaction was quick. Very professional looking auto building ( go to the back ) and everyone is very friendly and approachable. As I was pacing around when my vehicle was being inspected, Zee took time out of his day to introduce himself personally and again re-assure me that everything is going to work out. I was in and out in a half hour and given an Uber credit to take me wherever I needed to go.

I would recommend CarDoor to anyone who is hesitant to sell their vehicle. Are you going to get more selling privately? Probably not, but who really wants to go through that hassle? Be honest and give full disclosure of your vehicle to these guys, and they’ll be honest and get you the best possible deal for making you leave there happy. Thanks again for the great experience.

TERRIBLE - NOT WHAT THEY SAY

I really Loved the initial experience.
However when it came to pick up day, everything was upside down.

I had given all the details, and had been clear from the beginning. I wasn’t even expecting any residual money on my car. However, when I signed the agreement it did show positive equity which means Cardoor would pay me. I was surprised and happy and even told the sales team and the sales guy was like “ yes you got extra cash”. But on the pickup day it was all other way around. I was then told that I will have to pay $1500 and not the cardoor. Which was frustrating! Because I was selling to Clutch at just -$139, no profit and no loss and I only got with Cardoor was because they promised zero negative equity and then on pickup day changed the whole story. Upon speaking with sales guy, he was not even trying to help other than apologizing. Looking at my frustration he was able to bring down the money a bit lower but I was still made to pay. I had spent 3 hrs for vehicle inspection and off from work for this and only to know that if I don’t pay the money they wouldn’t pick the car and that the process will go back to square 1. At this point I had no choice but to pay or wait again and waste time since I had REJECTED clutch offer. I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE.

Absolutely disgusted with the extremely…

Absolutely disgusted with the extremely low offer on Clutch.ca purchasing my dad’s used vehicle. Tried calling them to ask if the $555 offer from Clutch.ca was a typo he put me on hold and then hung up 30 seconds in to the hold. He said he was going to transfer me to the proper department even though he was a salesperson. Absolute thrives!!! DO NOT USE Clutch.ca as they are RIP OFFS!!!

Title: Buyer Beware – Poor Post-Sale Support

I purchased a 2022 Subaru WRX from this dealership in September 2025 with a valid MTO safety certificate. Five months later, my mechanic found safety issues that should have been addressed during the certification.

When I contacted the dealership, they refused to assist, claiming anything after the 36-day certification window is my responsibility. There was no goodwill offered, and their customer service was extremely disappointing given the safety concerns.

If you are considering buying from this dealership or run into similar issues, I strongly recommend contacting OMVIC (Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council). Based on my experience, this dealership does not take customer concerns seriously and I caution other buyers to be careful.

Our records indicate the vehicle was purchased in September 2025 and your review was submitted on February 10, 2026, well beyond the 36-day validity period associated with the safety certification process in Ontario.

At the time of sale, the vehicle was sold with a valid Ontario safety standards certificate in accordance with applicable provincial requirements. As with any pre-owned vehicle, ongoing maintenance, wear, and repairs that arise after delivery are the responsibility of the owner.

Please note that CarDoor discontinued retail vehicle sales effective January 1, 2026.

Daughter of the car owner

I am submitting this review as a caution for Carfax users and other potential buyers. My 71-year-old mother purchased and is currently financing a 2019 Ford EcoSport from CarDoor in August. Within three days, the battery failed. Weeks later, the valve cover gasket required replacement (we paid $250 in labour). Now, only five months after purchase, the throttle pedal — a safety-critical component — has failed, making her afraid to drive the vehicle.

CarDoor has refused any assistance or good-faith resolution, repeatedly citing the 36-day safety certification window and stating that all repairs are the owner’s responsibility. A car sold as “certified” should not experience three major failures in a matter of months, especially when sold to a senior customer.

I am sharing this experience to encourage Carfax to review their policies and consider monitoring dealerships that repeatedly sell vehicles that fail shortly after purchase, particularly when certification is advertised.

As with any pre-owned vehicle, components can experience wear or require maintenance over time following purchase and ownership. Repairs and maintenance arising after delivery are the responsibility of the vehicle owner, including matters outside the applicable certification period.

We would also like to clarify that CARFAX is an independent third-party company and is not affiliated with or responsible for dealership operations, vehicle servicing, warranty coverage, or post-sale repair decisions.

No Guarantees

Decided to go with CarDoor because they have great reviews and a satisfaction guarantee on delivery. There is no BMW dealer where I'm located and I wanted a newer one to replace my X5. Ryad and Paul were great. Quick and easy delivery. Beautiful car, they did a decent job detailing it. Unfortunately, a few days after getting it the check engine light came on.

I do not want to deal with repairs and shops on the first week so I asked to exchange it. They will not honor their guarantee.

I would highly recommend checking the odometer and taking a picture when your receive the car if you do buy from them as there was about 600 km more on the car then what is on the sales paperwork.

Stay away. They do not honor their guarantee.

As per their reply, they say there are variances on what mileage the car will have upon delivery but that mileage was the basis for denying their guarantee. Terrible. Do not use these guys.

I'll add that it did end up being the valve cover that was causing the check engine light and it was on the Carfax that it was a known issue to cardoor. Cardoor cleared the code and sent it my way. $2000 engine repair out of my pocket first week and 200km in.

As with any pre-owned vehicle, concerns arising after delivery are addressed in accordance with the applicable purchase terms and policies.

Regarding the odometer reading, mileage can increase between the time of listing, paperwork preparation, transportation, detailing, testing, and final delivery. OMVIC disclosure guidelines also recognize that mileage differences within prescribed thresholds may occur, and the variance referenced in your review falls within those guidelines.
