Carecall provides round-the-clock telemonitoring and falls response services for older or vulnerable individuals in Stockport and surrounding areas. Our customers value their independence but want reassurance that help is always available. Each customer receives an alarm unit and a pendant, worn on the wrist or around the neck. In an emergency, pressing the button alerts our Telecare Control Centre, where trained Call Handlers respond immediately. If needed, they will contact emergency services, a family member, a neighbour, or a GP. In some cases, a Carecall officer will visit to provide direct assistance. Carecall offers peace of mind 24/7, 365 days a year. Carecall is ideal for individuals at risk of falling, hospital admission, or readmission. It also supports those returning home from the hospital, in the early stages of dementia, or in need of extra reassurance. We offer two service packages. Our Monitoring Only package includes a telecare alarm unit and pendant, 24/7 monitoring, and calls to emergency services or nominated contacts when needed. Our Monitoring & Falls Response package includes all monitoring services plus an emergency response team who can visit to assist with non-injury falls using specialised lifting equipment. Carecall ensures safety, independence, and support whenever it’s needed.

Really helpful

Really helpful, I have the GPS based system, which has accidently set off while out and about it they rang, I explained I'd set it off by accident, but they were also able ot pin exactly where I was and track the device (as I had asked them too). Staff always polite on the phone and quite chatty

Useless.

Useless.
Absolutely useless.

Been waiting for three months for help with my dad.
Someone contacted me to say the paperwork had been ' overlooked '(sat on a desk for 3 months)
I phoned them back and the idiot who answered said id not replied to a email.
They'd sent it someone else!

Excellent Service

Phil & Addy visited my place of work to help a resident who had fallen last night. They were very friendly, kind, compassionate and professional. They are a credit to your company.
Care call have visited us numerous times and each time the service has been excellent.
Thank you for providing this much needed service.

Addy and Phil came out to help my dad


Addy and Phil came out to help my dad recently. He called them the A Team. He said they were amazing. So shout out to people who still care enough to have an amazing attitude towards helping and caring for our elderly folks. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for making my dad feel comfortable after his fall.

Fantastic Service

Phil & Janine from Care Call Stockport put updated equipment in for my disabled mum today. This was the same day as a call to check in with my mum to ensure that everything was operational & she was happy with the service. She wanted the monitor moving for convenience. They installed updated equipment the same day. They tested it fully and ensured that my mum was completely happy before leaving. They were absolutely lovely & even entertained the dog! Would highly recommend them. The service was fantastic.

Very bad

Very bad! My mum has been waiting for over an hour now. She was trying to balance waiting for help when she tipped over her Walker. She ended up falling after an hour of waiting and cracked her head open. Ended up calling for an ambulance. Only use this ‘service’ if you are prepared for massive wait. they only have 2 people working the whole of Stockport on a shift.

No care at all

My mum has been using it, and previously it worked well (although sometimes there was a long delay before they actually arrived at the flat). We live abroad so cannot get to her quickly. We visited at Christmas to find the sensor had been stuck to the floor....we called them to ask why and when the lady came she couldn't understand why it wasn't on the wall. The thing was a total trip hazard. She was very helpful and relocated it to the right place.
Two days ago mum had a very bad fall and gashed her head open. The daily carers found her on their morning visit - her wrist band had not activated and carecall had not attended. When the carer called carecall to find out why there was no response, the lady on the phone was rude and dismissive and her only response was 'well its working now'. They are merely a money making business and have zero customer ethos or 'care'. We will be cancelling once we find an alternative. As an aside, if the folk completing fall forms cannot write well, at least make it easier for them with more tick boxes - previous falls we have no idea what action was taken as the forms are completely illegible.

A massive thank you!

I would like to say a big thank-you to all the staff involved in the call out to my dad and his wife. My dad said everyone who attended were absolutely brilliant and have literally saved their lives. I can’t thank you all enough, what dedicated and extremely caring people.

I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy!
My poorly mother was with them for a couple of years, she was often ill and would have falls ect.. Living 4 hours away we weren’t just round the corner to check on her ourselves. Numerous times when ringing carecall we were met with call handlers that had zero compassion and were often rude, they would tell us to “call an ambulance” or “is there not a family member or friend that can check on her?” What exactly where we paying them for then?!
Icing on the cake was the last time I called them, I asked them to do a welfare check on my mum as we hadn’t heard from her in a few days, reluctantly they agreed to go round and call us to let us know what they found. Unfortunately carecall found my mum had passed away. However, we NEVER received a call back, they failed to inform me my mother was dead!!! We found out some hours later from a disabled neighbour! I lodged a complaint with them and Keith a manager called me just days after my mums death with zero compassion in his voice, he didn’t offer his condolences and I received a half arsed response that I wouldn’t even call an apology!! He then informed me after me asking, that they hadn’t cancel my mums services!! And we were still at the time paying, even though they knew she was deceased!! PLEASE choose another company for your loved ones. Carecall do not CARE about anything other than money!!

Peace of mind

Persuaded my parents to sign up to Carecall.
So far they've been great. My parents fall quite often and someone from Carecall always checks they are ok promptly.
Once, when my dad fell in the garden, they sent someone out to check on him because they couldn't get a response from him.

Carecall - you must be joking.

My wife took on Carecall September 2022 but had no reason to use it. She was taken into a care home Jan 4th where she passed away on the 20th. According to Carecalls contract they require 30 days notice to terminate. In the midst of serious illness contracts are the last thing on a bereaved husbands mind. i rang Carecall on 8th Feb as they were still taking payments and was told that if I disconnected their equipment and delivered it back to them I would receive a refund. This I did at my own expense but no refund. I returned home with the equipment and told the girl behind the desk and on subsequent telephone calls that it was available to be collected after the refund had been made. I am still waiting and believe that this is an abominable way to treat an 84 year old, recently bereaved husband.
It is now the 6th of June, I was in contact with Care call some weeks ago, the man admitted that they were holding my wife's money and said that I would receive it in four weeks. It seems a rather cheap firm that has to resort to underhand interest free loans in order to stay n business.

Useless service

Useless service. Claim to help the elderly when they fall, my mother fell and they refused to pick her up as she could get herself up, she struggled as she has a hip replacement. Wouldn't recommend this service.

This triaging is designed to ensure the person gets the most suitable form of help, in the quickest time possible.

To give you complete reassurance that the Carecall team attend to many fallen customers, in the last 12 months Carecall has attended to 5186 people in their own home. In more than 90% of these cases they were able to help the person back to their feet without the need to call for an Ambulance.
