We make cars like new again. New Again is an auto reconditioning and repair workshop in Chelmsford, Essex, established in 1987. Car water leak detection, ceramic coating, car polishing, convertible roof and soft top care, leather restoration and Connollising, odour removal and end-of-lease preparation. The idea behind the business is a simple one: the best car for you is often the one already sitting on your driveway. Reconditioning it costs a fraction of replacing it, and you get back a car that looks and feels the way it did when you first drove it. Most of what we do is repair and restoration rather than cleaning. Smart repair covers scratch removal, stone chip repair, paintless dent removal and alloy wheel refurbishment; bodywork faults corrected without a full respray or a bodyshop bill. Leather and upholstery restoration, including Connollising, brings worn, cracked and faded seats back instead of replacing them. Car polishing and ceramic coating deal with the finish itself: machine polishing takes out the swirl marks and dull paint, and the coating goes on afterwards to keep it that way. We also take on work a lot of workshops turn away. Car water leak detection is a specialism of ours: finding where the water actually gets in, drying the car interior properly, and removing the odour that follows rather than masking it. Convertible roof and soft top cleaning, weatherproofing and rear window rebonding keep them in service rather than replaced. End-of-lease inspection and preparation helps drivers hand a car back without unexpected recharges. Car detailing in Chelmsford is part of the range as well, though for us, it is usually the last stage of a reconditioning job rather than the job itself. All of it happens in our own fully equipped workshop, done by our own team. Our specialist work brings customers from all over the UK, and we can collect and deliver anywhere in the country. roof restoration
Excellent customer Service and knowledge , did not expect my 15 year old BMW roof to come out looking brand new, to my delight it did ! Very happy with the work. Definitely glad I chose New Again. Will be using again should I need to in the future.

Fixed my leak but my car came back with damage to my back bumper and my front electric windows haven’t worked since I got my car back when I contacted them they sent me photos enhanced to look like it was there before and my windows they just sent me a link from there site they just make excuses.
Offered to just patch spray or if I wanted to pay half £195 to get it repaired properly.
I am seeking legal advice now poor after service

When a customer goes through our service, we ask them a series of questions, including asking if they have any electrical problems. The customer told us they had problems with their electric window at the beginning. Electrical problems are very common on cars that leak and are full water.
The problem with the car was caused by crash damage and the car was brought to us with a bumper that had just been bought from a breaker's yard. We take photos of the car when it arrives, and in the photos you can clearly see that the damage was already on his replacement bumper. We offered to repair it for half price because he clearly hadn't realized that the bumper was already damaged until we sent him the photos.
Although we can demonstrate that we are not responsible for either of these problems, our offer still stands that we are willing to help out should Donald wish to come back to us.
focus st mk2 boot water leak
I had been struggling with a leaking ford focus mk2 for a few months, tried everything on my own that I could, but needed some experienced help to stop the water leaking in to the boot. Ended up being a crack under the roof rails which alone I probably wouldn’t have been able to sort out. Arranged everything with Gary nice and easily, James found the leak and showed me how it was coming in, then for a small charge managed to fix it. I’m really happy with the service and how nice Gary and James were. So glad there wasn’t water coming in once they had done their work. Traveled an hour to get there so I was glad it was worth it. If your having any water leak issues, these guys will definitely sort it out. Highly recommend them :)

Excellent Professional, helpful service
Very pleased with the service and help given about some chipped paintwork and scratches. Was recommended to purchase a touch up paint kit from Chipex. Gary carried out the necessary work and also demonstrated how to use the kit for touching up chipped paint work for future possible issues. Some initial buffing etc was required before applying the touch up paint this time. Happy to advise and help in the future.

Audi A4 roof refrub
Took my A4 converitable that I have nearly finished restoring, for a refurb of the the blue roof, or at least thats the colour that it should have been. After the boys at New Again had worked their magic, it looked almost brand new, with the colour restored and all the mould and algae disappeared.

great service and attention
I bought a new Mercedes Benz GLE 350 from a Mercedes dealership within the M25 6 weeks ago on collection of the car I thought it was clean and shiny. I made inquiries to have the paint protection and contacted new again I spoke to Garry and he gave me a full run down of the services and prices they offer, I decided on their flagship coating.
I left the car with them and on collecting, I was amazed with the result as the car is black it now has a mirror look finish to it, the wheels and the glass where also done. Now the car looks better than when I collected it from the dealership. So I can highly recommend Garry and his team for service of 110% and care and attention.

I had a ceramic coating done on my car…
I had a ceramic coating done on my car a few years ago and it was brilliant. Sold it for a great price as it looked so good. Now I’ve had it done in my new truck and it looks fantastic and always stays clean. I can recommend New Again for their professionalism and knowledge. Very helpful.
