2 ore di attesa per avere l'auto... Centinaia d'euro spesi in più per assicurazioni varie... 15 euro per il lavaggio... Alla consegna cercavano danni con la lente d'ingrandimento.. pur di fotterti la cauzione... E dopo 1 giorno mi trovo una multa da 100 euro che con loro sono diventati 230...
La peggiore compagnia di sempre... vergognatevi

Mauvaise expérience avec Carwiz Bari aéroport. Où je me suis vue contrainte de payer une assurance autour de 250€ pour 5 jours, prétextant que ma carte bancaire ne convenait pas... Zéro informations sur ce sujet lors de ma reservartion avec stessfreecarrental.
Tous des escrocs!
Dans cette situation à l'aéroport, on est comme pris en otage, on n'a pas le choix... Et tous les clients avant et après moi ont eu le même problème.

Abbiamo noleggiato un'auto a Malta presso questa compagnia tramite Ryanair, con pagamento anticipato e abbiamo scelto di assicurarci tramite Axa, ma al momento del picking up Carwiz ci ha costretti a prendere la loro assicurazione altrimenti non ci consegnavano l'auto, assicurazione ben più costosa tra l'altro. Hanno fatto tra l'altro questo bel giochino con tutti quelli che erano in cosa con noi! Un'ora e mezza di gente incavolata e di coda per ritirare l'auto!!! Assolutamente da evitare questa compagnia di truffatori!

Als ich dort ankam, meinten die, das meine Kreditkarte nicht funktionieren würde und somit konnte ich die Kaution nicht bezahlen!
Dann haben die gesagt, wir können das aber anders Regeln, wenn ich eine Versicherung abschließen würde für weitere 300€
Nehmt lieber jeden anderen Anbieter aber nicht Carwiz geht zu Sixt!

Our experience with Carwiz was extremely disappointing.

We booked and paid in advance for a car for three days, with a 10am collection. Due to a minor issue (we had to return briefly to get the driving licence), we called ahead, but were told they would not hold the car unless we paid for an upgrade. After unnecessary back-and-forth, they finally gave us the car we had already booked and paid for.

The car itself had multiple warning alarms on, including an oil level warning. When we raised this in person (both at collection and again at drop-off), the staff was dismissive and openly rude. At one point, the employee sarcastically asked if I was a mechanic, implying the warnings didn’t matter. Being told that safety alerts “mean nothing” is completely unacceptable.

We were also pressured into buying their extra insurance using what felt like thinly veiled scare tactics. We were told that without their insurance, roadside assistance would only be available after 48 hours—an absurd and misleading claim. No option was offered to take basic rescue cover on its own.

To top it off, when returning the car, they charged €20 for cleaning due to a small amount of sand. This felt like a blatant attempt to extract extra money.

Overall, this felt less like a professional rental service and more like a business built on pressure, dismissive behaviour, and opportunistic charges. I would strongly advise others to avoid.

We had a really upsetting experience with this car rental in Bucharest and would strongly urge others to avoid.

We booked a Mercedes for a very low price, but on arrival were told it wasn’t available and were pushed into taking a heavily scratched alternative. We were also pressured to buy their insurance, and when we declined, we were required to leave an extremely high deposit (around £3,000).

We clearly pointed out existing scratches when collecting the car and were told not to worry. After using the car minimally for 2 days, staff then carried out an intense inspection on return and claimed a tiny mark was new damage, demanding payment.

When we refused, staff became aggressive, refused to call the original employee, and even denied us the shuttle back to the airport, leaving us stranded and forced to pay for our own transport.

Days later, despite not agreeing to any charges, a large amount was taken from our card. We had to dispute this through our bank to get our money back.

What should have been a simple rental completely ruined the end of our trip. Please be very careful—document everything or choose a different company.

Unfreundlich! Shuttle zur Station erst nach mehren Anrufen vor Ort, Fahrer hilft nicht beim Einladen der Koffer! Extrem langatmige Modalitäten, aggressiver Versuch eine Zusatzversicherung aufzudrängen, obwohl dieses schon bei Check24 bestand! Keine Fahrzeugübergabe, dunkler, am Abend praktrisch unbeleuchteter, zugestellter Parkplatz, eine Begutachtung des Fahrzeugs war praktisch unmöglich.

Fahrzeug war in Ordnung, aber bei der Übergabe ungewaschen!

Bei der Rückgabe, wieder mit langer Wartezeit, wurde das Fahrzeug genauestens kontrolliert, wobei geziehlt zur Beifahrerseite gegangen wurde und dort umgehend ein kleiner Kratzer am Spiegel gefunden wurde. Wir sind sicher diesen nicht verursacht zu haben, mussten aber erstmal den Schaden (lt. Carwizz musste hierfür der komplette Außenspiegel getauscht werden) bezahlen und dies dann bei Check24 über die Vollkasko zurückholen. Auch die Erfassung des Schadens dauerte ewig, so dass der Abflug nur knapp erreicht wurde, trotz Ankunft an der Mietwagenstation 3 Stunden vor Abflug!

Fazit: Nie wieder!

Collected the car with hundreds of defects and dirty, first day took it to a car wash for a clean inside found used condoms and other packaging from previous customers. On return they charged me for no 16th chip on the windscreen (apparently it only had 15 chips) well prove that if you can. The car is a cash cow that it's used to generate money from fake claims as it's impossible to detail hundreds of damages. (Mafia style)This horrible company shouldn't be allowed to trade as it's a total scam , 5 days since I returned the car and I still haven't received my deposit back 2500euro plus they charged me 800euro for a chip in the windscreen, trying to go through the insurance company they don't reply to them... Please Avoid this scammers

è STATA INSERITA LA CHIAVE NELLA PORTA DELLA MACCHINA CHE AVEVA IL TELECOMANDO DICENDOMI CHE NON APRIVA E CHE DOVEVA ESSERE MIA CURA CONTROLLARLA QUANDO HO RITIRATO LA MACCHINA, FACCIO PRESENTE CHE LA MACCHINA L'HO PRESA AUTONOMAMENTE SOTTO UN DILUVIO NEL PARCHEGGIO DEL AUTONOLEGGIO A 500 MT DALL'UFFICIO , HO FATTO VIDEO DELLA MACCHINA , SEMPRE PARCHEGGIATA INTERNAMENTE ALLA MIA VILLETA.
RICOSEGNATA LA MACCHINA PERFETTAMENTE PULITA E CON IL PIENO COME DA CONTRATTO. CONSEGNO LE CHIAVI E VISTO CHE ERA TUTTO OK INSERISCE LA CHIAVE NELLA SERRATURA DOPO AVER APERTO LA MACCHINA CON IL TELECOMANDO E MI FA NOTARE CHE LA CHIAVE NON FUNZIONA, FACCIO NOTARE CHE AVENDO IL TELECOMANDO NON HO USATO LA CHIAVE, LA SIGNORINA MI FA PRESENTE CHE LA MANIGLIA E' STATA RIPARATA DA POCO MOTIVO PER CUI NON AVEVA NEMMENO UN GRAFFIO.
SINCERAMENTE MI SONO SENTITO RAGGIRATO PER NON DIRE TRUFFATO E SEZA ARGOMENTI
E LA COSA NON E' PIACEVOLE. SCONSIGLIO IL NOLEGGIO PRESSO QUESTA COMPAGNIA ALL'AEREOPORTO DI CATANIA.

ho prenotato una vettura per il 16/03/2026 all'aeroporto di Catania è non sono riuscito a noleggiare un'auto. Avevo dietro "solo" tre carte di credito, ho subito riscontrato disagio dal trattamento ricevuto, al punto da desiderare di allontanarmi il prima possibile dalla filiale stessa.

This is a terrible company.
We waited for a shuttle to take us to the rental company. We waited for 1 1/2 hours… with the company texting and stating they are on their way and there must be traffic ( it was 11:30 pm).
We ended up having to Uber an hour to our destination.
Expedia could not get a refund. Car wiz completely lied about what happened. Below is what the told Expedia….
“ We were advised by Carwiz that their shuttle service was fully operational, running every 15 minutes as scheduled. They denied to refund saying that you chose to cancel the booking voluntarily, as you did not accept their terms and conditions.”

Protect your money and your peace.

Questa nuova compagnia ci è stata proposta da EasyJet con il volo. Potrebbe essere una buona compagnia, personale gentile, come auto abbiamo avuto una panda ma...dopo aver pagato online 23 euro al giorno + assicurazione premium, arrivati a Bari abbiamo scoperto che la sede è a 5 Km dall'aeroporto e al momento della consegna delle chiavi ci hanno "proposto" un'assicurazione aggiuntiva di 191 euro perché, a loro dire, la polizza premium di 48 euro non comprendeva furto e altre cose. Non solo poca trasparenza perché l'informazione data è stata caotica e volta più a confondere e spaventare su eventuali rischi che a informare, ma confrontando con altre compagnie consolidate il prezzo sarebbe stato nettamente inferiore. Noi abbiamo pagato per 4 giorni 330 euro. Mai più.

Terrible service. This company is a scam. I pre paid for a car but when I went to pick up they demanded hundreds of extra dollars which I refused to pay....so I'm out the original money I payed and no car.

Noleggio distante più di 1 km dall'aeroporto.
Alla consegna dell'auto, alle 8 non era presente nessuno, nonostante le 20 chiamate, nessuno rispondeva, arrivati con calma dopo 45 minuti.
Hanno preteso la pulizia dell'auto prima della consegna per poterla visionare e trovare a tutti i costi un addebito, così è stato, Hanno trovato un impercettibile puntino sul parabrezza, sicuramente già esistente e mi hanno addebitato 413 €.

SCAMMERS! They forced me to pay an additional $111.60 ON TOP of what I’d already paid Priceline. They were icky and unethical. They wouldn’t let me see any paperwork or get a receipt.

They rip you off on the return. You have to drive the car through a car wash before you return the car - no matter how clean it is. Just pay something more at a real rental car company and avoid all the discussions and rip offs

Am 11.2.26 in Athen. Im check 24 Voucher war eine Kaution von 600 Euro vereinbart. Vor Ort wurde ein Kaution von 1200 Euro verlangt mit der Begründung man sei Carwizz und nicht check 24 und die Höhe der Kaution würde von Carwizz festgelegt.
Als meine Karte 2 mal nicht übertragen wurde, wollte.meine Frau ihre Karte nehmen, was nicht akzeptiert wurde, obwohl ich sie vor Ort als 2. Fahrerin angab.Da wir noch 4 Stunden Fahrt vor uns hatten, machten sie einen neuen Vertrag über Carwizz, der 384 Euro teurer war. Dann tauchte plötzlich ein neues Kartenlesegerät auf , das die Karte meiner Frau problemlos akzeptierte. Check 24 hatte zwischenzeitlich erfolglos versucht, einzugreifen. Ich habe das Gefühl. Carwizz wollte ihren Vertrag geltend machen. Check 24 hat sich sehr gut gekümmert und wir haben dort die Reklamation eingereicht. Ich Miete oft ein Auto in Athen und hatte mit check24 noch nie Probleme. Carwizz sollte man nicht buchen!!! Besonders nicht in Athen !!!!

Da evitare come la peste. Non noleggiano ai locali perché pensano siano tutti truffatori.

Made a booking with a broker for a car rate of 4 euro a day. At the desk for pick up they ask me for extra 12 euro por day.

There was not flight number in my voucher!

This is fraud!

Ridiculous. They should be kicked out of business.

I hire car in napes and all over Europe for my business all the time. CarWiz rent a car was a total unprofessional joke.
