Cavinno watch screen disappointment
Purchased dm58 Cavinno watch on 19th June 2026, was impressed by there advert showing the watch screen being used to crush walnuts and by someone drilling into the screen, however after only a few weeks a scratch occurred and I contacted them.
The texts were as follows..
ME.....
Thankyou for your reply, my complaint is the above scratch that happened during normal activity, I'm either at home or going for normal walks etc, certainly not doing anything to adventurous so I can't believe my watch got this scratch within weeks of it's purchase especially when I see you advertised it with this type of picture
That gives the impression a drill wouldn't damage the glass ! Surely falsely suggesting the screen can't be scratched.... Certainly not by the everyday normal activity of a 67 year old lol.
Thankyou.

THEM.....
âDear Customer,
Thank you for contacting us.
We completely understand your disappointment. Purchasing the watch as recently as June 19th and noticing scratches on the screen after daily walks is certainly frustrating, and we sincerely apologize for the unsatisfactory experience.
To explain the situation objectively, the watch screen is made of standard mineral glass, which has a specific level of hardness. During daily use, the screen can easily come into contact with fine dust, sand, keys, or clothing fasteners (such as buttons or zippers) in pockets or bags. Even the friction from sleeves carrying micro-sand particles during a walk can cause subtle surface scratches.
Because microscopic hard particles in everyday environments can gradually mark the glass, this type of wear is not considered a manufacturing defect and is unfortunately not covered under our free warranty or replacement policy.
We truly appreciate your understanding, and please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
Best regards,
ME...
So basically sand,house/car keys and buttons can cause scratches on the screen but using the watch screen as a hammer cracking nuts or using my electric drill and drilling directly onto the glass has no effect ? You very clearly advertise the watch to withstand these activities which in my mind is grossly misleading and definitely gives the purchaser a false impression to the scratch resistance of the screen.
I will be very interested in finding out if your other customers or future ones
agree with me....
So I don't recommend this product or that anyone purchase it.... definitely stay clear !!
