Would highly recommend this company for anyone looking to have damp work done!

On buying our new house, our survey showed a small amount of damp in the living room. We contacted Cedarcare who promptly carried out a full free survey and provided the results and quote the same day.

In a meeting before the work started, Cedarcare were excellent in explaining the current issue, the work required and the aftercare needed to avoid damp in the future. This answered all our questions and gave us clarity on what the work would entail and how long it would take.

The work was completed quickly and we are really happy with the results. Excellent that they also offer a 20 year guarantee!

From the time of my first phone call to request the timber survey, right through to the works being carried out I was delighted with the service I received. The service was efficient, I was listened to with respect and this respect continued from everyone with whom I had contact in the office and who carried out the survey and the works. Honest readings were taken, honest judgements were made, plenty of discussion was encouraged and decisions were backed up with knowledge, experience and fact. There were effective systems in place which ensured accurate specifications, prompt service and prompt, accurate invoicing and acknowledgements. I had confidence in each person at each step of the project and the work was carried out smoothly, efficiently and cheerfully. Altogether this was a reassuring experience. Thank you.

I would not recommend this company.
The plastering work was substandard and whilst they eventually confirmed this, they did not rectify the issue in a timely manner and were confrontational and dismissive in telephone calls.
They evidently subbed the work out and did not prep their subcontractors about basic details such as where to get access to the house.
They have also sent two incorrect invoices, stating that fewer payments have been made than is the case, and have not provided the guarantee docs requried by the contract.
They have also still not returned my house keys, three months after work was carried out.

We are happy with the damp treatment done in our living room walls.The company were professional and quite helpful.I would recommend them.

We were purchasing a property and our Level 3 independent survey revealed high moisture levels in the walls, recommending specialist advice. We contacted Cedarcare who promptly conducted a thorough survey and diagnosed rising damp in approximately 80% of the downstairs.

Mac and Charley were incredibly helpful, explaining the extent of the problem and outlining the necessary treatments in a clear and understandable way. They addressed all our concerns and patiently answered our many questions, making us feel confident in their expertise.

The work was completed before we moved in and was done efficiently and effectively, we're incredibly grateful for their assistance in resolving this significant issue before moving in to the property.

Thanks to Cedarcare, we can now proceed with our new home with peace of mind.

Avoid! The worst company ever! They have done awful job and not taking responsibility for it. They will ignore you when something will go wrong and won't refund for their terrible job. They have glued the plasterboard to the ceiling. After a week it starts lowering. They have done nothing to prevent collapsing. After a month ceiling collapsed. Luckly no one get injured. I have asked for a refund. They ignored my phone calls and emails. Apparently they are a specialists so they SHOULD know you can not glue the ceiling!!!

Avoid this company. Both plastering and back office staff are very unprofessional in their operations. Plasterer very moody, sloppy and even knocked off electric socket leaving live wires exposed (not telling us and we had to pay for an electrician call out). A lot of plastering cracked which we have had to repair.
Company appears outdated, disorganised and processes are woeful.
Only good people I want to credit are Tim the surveyor and James the plasterer who had to get back to finish the first job left unfinished.
Job was started at start of September (1 week) and only yesterday have got everything required from Cedarcare to close off.

We have been using cedarcare for basement tanking, slurry coats and wood treatment for the best part of 37 years and have found them both efficient and professional. Cedarcare have just finished two basement contracts for us Abbey Rd St Johns Wood and Charleville Rd Fulham, the work was finished on time and left in tip top condictiones.

I hired the services of Cedarcare Ltd for the treatment of the dampness on one side of the wall of my ground floor living room. It’s been 24 months since the work was completed (01st June 2020) but the problem of dampness is still there alongside the new problem of cracks in the wall that was replastered and skimmed by Cedarcare (Please note there were no cracks before the work was done. These cracks started appearing within the first week of completing the wall).

I will say stay away from this company. They are always too busy to respond. If the owners are pathetic you can guess what the staff will be like !!

Cedarcare’s response to a damp problem identified following completion of a basement tanking contract was wholly unsatisfactory, with foot-dragging and denial of responsibility. Eventually they needed two further noisy and dusty attempts to rectify their initial failure over a period of two and a half years. Ongoing dispute over consequential costs.
Cedarcare completed damp treatment works in two rooms in our Fulham basement in May 2015 which, including a five-year guarantee, cost around £3600.
Before finalising their work, we pointed out to Cedarcare that they had omitted to restore a power point in the bedroom. In rectifying their error, they installed the power point on the wall rather than in the wall, as was the case for all the other power points in both rooms.
A damp problem emerged around this power socket, but this was not identified until November 2017 since the socket was hidden behind a bedside table. For over a year Cedarcare refused to accept that this was a problem with their work; they claimed that the damp readings around the socket were within expected levels, so we redecorated. The decorators found that their paint would not dry around the socket; in January 2019, Cedarcare finally accepted liability.
In July 2019, Cedarcare completed a further noisy and dusty hacking-back and replastering effort in an attempt to rectify the issue, following which, after allowing due time for drying out, we redecorated. By the end of the year, however, it was clear that this exercise had failed to solve the problem.
So, in February 2020, we suffered a third noisy and dusty hacking-back and replastering exercise - this time we understand Cedarcare used specialist subcontractors. After allowing time for drying out, we redecorated and replaced the ruined carpets.
The costs which we have incurred, including the engagement of a surveyor to help with our negotiations with Cedarcare, have totalled about the same as the whole of the original contract. Cedarcare have refused to pay for any of this, hiding behind the consequential cost clause in their guarantee which we view as unreasonable: one redecoration could be covered but not three.
Throughout this sad exercise, which was finally resolved around the end of the first quarter of 2020, Cedarcare have dragged their feet and attempted to avoid liability whilst we have had a bedroom largely out-of-use for two and a half years, as well as being significantly out of pocket.
We would not recommend Cedarcare, given the poor quality of their work and their appalling after-sales service.
