Hi Jason,
Sorry you feel that way, though it is worth being clear about what actually happened here.
You browsed a listing, you saw the price before you bought, and you chose to purchase it at your own discretion. Nobody contacted you, pressured you, or hid anything. The price was displayed up front and you agreed to it at checkout.
CertiTix is a marketplace. Listings are priced by the sellers who list them, and whether a ticket sits above or below its original face value is not a decision CertiTix makes on its own. That is how every resale marketplace in the country works, and it is entirely legal in New Zealand.
We are a local business, run out of New Zealand, trying to give Kiwi buyers an alternative to the rates the big international resellers charge. To our knowledge your order was fulfilled exactly as it should have been.
Worth knowing for next time: if a price does not sit right with you, our website lets you put an offer in rather than pay the listed price. You are also welcome to email us directly and ask. We are reasonable people and we would genuinely have considered it. Nobody did that here.
If there had been a real problem with your order, the ticket not arriving, the seat being wrong, entry being refused, we would have sorted it immediately and at our cost. We do that regularly, including full refunds where the fault is ours. You have not raised an issue of that kind, so this appears to come down to a price you saw, accepted and paid.
If we have genuinely got something wrong, email admin@certitix.co.nz with your order reference and we will look at it properly.
Cheers,
Admin
