There has been no help. They take days to get back if they do at all. They have cost me weeks of work and maybe job. So slow and unhelpful. I get the feeling they truly do not care. It must be run totally by AI.

Honestly, such a straightforward platform. It is super easy to use, and understand. Running my first check went smooth and had a fast turnaround time. When I did have a question their customer service team responded timely and was very helpful. I would recommend!

Customer support has been painfully slow. Chat can’t resolve anything, email responses come one sentence at a time, and after more than two weeks I’m still stuck in back-and-forth just to unlock my account. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend spending time on this.

I have never dealt with a more frustrating service. Certn repeatedly asks for documents that I have already submitted — contracts, bank statements, tax documents — without taking the time to actually review what is on file. Questions are ignored, and the process drags on endlessly.

At this point, they have accumulated more than enough personal information about me to commit identity theft, yet still claim they need “more proof.” This not only shows complete incompetence, but also raises serious concerns about their handling of sensitive data. If their operational processes are this careless, I can’t help but worry that their IT security is equally unreliable.

Background checks should be thorough, but also professional and secure. Certn fails on both counts. I strongly recommend companies reconsider using this provider — and for individuals, be prepared for a frustrating and potentially risky experience.

I have been waiting a month for a background check to work for a tech company reel edge, the company just update me that they’re still waiting on the background check after a month. Ridiculous!

Terrible service, no one answers, there is always bugs in the system and they dont resolve untill days after. Its a terrible expensive experience with no customer service and its frustrating. I canceleld it

They continuously ask for more information. And even as they have enough to easily steal one's identity, they ask for more, like banking details. This is not for a financial position, nor for a position requiring security clearance.

They have delays in processing which means as they ask for more information, you then provide it, and wait a week or more, they only just ask for "more" information.

The job position becomes lost and I cannot imagine an employer finding this to be helpful. I am suspicious that there is a racket going for this, and so I recommend anyone to keep their credit reports updated and checked every day.

Far too slow, terrible customer service. They will blatantly lie - AVOID! I am now also judging companies that use this shoddy company - I'm presuming they must be the cheapest.

Worst experience

BS company they take too long and they violated my rights by reporting a incident that happened over 11 years ago in the state of Texas. I believe I have a lawsuit!

AVOID AVOID AVOID! A lot of time and money wasted on their BS7858 screening service (I will use the word "service" very loosely) I wished I have checked the reviews before opting for their services because it would appear many of you have had the same experiences with this company. A bit of advise, try learning the basic training before offering out any service!

Not a reliable company, too expensive, should not use this service.

Been waiting over 6 weeks now, I've only been asked to send the SAME employment contract over to them 5 times now!

Two months. Two months I have been waiting for a background check.

There is zero accountability, no one to talk to. You get the run around and new dates.

Certn.co it's now 10 days and I don't have my police check. The customer service is extremely poor. My report is ready but when I login to see the report it is not there. This has been dragging on for a week. The person Ritika was unconcerned that a week passed by and she did not solve my problem. She told me to change my chrome to Canadian English but now I cannot login at all! It is so frustrating to write each day and get no action. I need the report to attach to my visa application and am running out of time! Do not use Cert.co as they cannot solve technical problems, take too long to process the police report.

As an HR professional, I found Certn’s background check process to be overly basic. When I inquired if more detailed questions would be asked, I was assured that their process only covers basic information like start date and employment status, specifically.. Is this the start date, are they still an employee at your company, and can you confirm if you are the HR.

Unfortunately, this did not capture important aspects of the employee's performance and reliability, which were areas of concern during their time with us.

For employers seeking a more comprehensive understanding of a candidate, I would recommend looking for additional methods beyond Certn’s service.
