I went on the trip to India, which provided a fun experience as well as an eye opening one, exposing me to things I would never experience in the UK. The trip was very well planned and organised so at no point did I feel uncomfortable or unsafe. This was majority down to Amita, who made us get the most out of this trip and she also provided constant support if we wanted it. I would highly recommend this programme as not only does it enhance your own skills such as teamwork and confidence, you also get the chance to make a difference in someone else’s life. Thank you for such a wonderful experience.

Communication before leaving lacks a little, however once out there the team leaders were brilliant. Especially James who was with us in the Elephant Sanctuary. The organization of how the trip flows was brilliant. If this is your first time traveling I would recommend using Challenges Abroad as hotels and food are sorted for you which takes the pressure off.

Absolutely amazing. Any issues I had in organising the trip, eg flights or vaccines, they told me exactly where to go for the best info. I was completely prepared for my trip, what I would be doing, and the expectations. I learnt so much and had an amazing time.

A perfect way to get a feel for travelling while also helping the local community. This was my first experience travelling outside of Europe and I was slightly nervous, however there was a group leader who was really helpful with recommending and organising activities for our free time while also motivating us to do our best for the volunteering. My volunteering involved working with school children to teach them about climate change and English, and I feel like we were able to really build a good relationship with the students and teachers in the time we had. Overall was a very unique experience that I feel incredibly lucky to have been involved in. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good way to start their travelling journey.

I'd highly recommend this experience to any students. Not only does it look great on a CV but it was tremendous fun to do as well. I received all the information I needed, video calls to support my fundraising and the instructor's was great at teaching me how to kayak, as I hadn't done much of it before. Overall, a really fantastic experience.

I had an amazing experience with challenges abroad! I would 100% recommend it to a friend. The only reason I have given 4 stars is because the in country team and the uk team gave us slightly different information about the schedule. But everything else was amazing!

my trip to Thailand was really good and allowed me to learn about a completely new culture. I enjoyed meeting new people and delivering workshops to the Thai partner school. working with the children made the experience worthwhile. The Thai team was very helpful and supportive of our group, despite many challenges we faced. I will be forever grateful for this experience.
We expected to be focusing more on basic hygiene, sanitation and disease prevention, but the focus was more on emotional, mental and physical health. if this was clearer it would've been a little better, and easier to prepare for.

Challenges Abroad were an excellent organisation to volunteer with. Their knowledge and expertise made my Challenge as better than I could have expected. I would volunteer with CA again, and would recommend to all of my friends.

My experience with challenges abroad was amazing and absolutely eye-opening. Challenges abroad have helped me to widen my awareness of cultural differences and how we can each do our bit by becoming a global citizen. Thank you so much challenges abroad i would recommend that anyone and everyone takes the opportunity to travel with challenges abroad.

I participated in the Elephants and Hill Tribes Challenge in Thailand. Both experiences were amazing however working at the Elephant Nature Park with the elephants and the dogs was the highlight of my trip. Whilst we did volunteer at both places it did not seem like work, it was great learning about the culture at the hill tribes and the actively helping with the maintenance of the elephants and dogs, especially the disabled dogs. However, I wish we had left the hill tribes on the friday night rather than saturday morning as more time in Chiang Mai would’ve been great.

When we got to Cambodia the humidity was really hot and we were all boiling but when we got to the hotel we had the best night we had some amazing food and we went in the swimming pool it was the best night for our first time in Cambodia then the next morning we had breakfast which was amazing and we travelled to the hub where we really began our work we got put into rooms and we unpacked and then we went travelling around Cambodia it was the most beautiful thing ever then when we got back we had food and we went for a walk and on our way back it started to rain so we were all drenched but it was amazing the lightning brightened up the sky then we prepared for our first day of teaching the children and throughout the week we done tree planting we had milkshakes went for ice cream we spent the week teaching the children and it was an amazing experience seeing them so happy when we walked in they were so interactive after they realised that we weren’t scary because they had never seen us before they were pretty shy but that didn’t last long they were so happy and interactive and watching my friends interact with the children was really a sight to see they were so good at it and it was the best experience of my life and if I could do it again I would

It was an amazing experience that really helped shaped me as a person. It was only a two week trip but it made such an impact on my life. I've grown so much because of it and become a much more compassionate, patient and understanding person.

The whole trip was amazing, it was a life changing experience and great fun as well. I'd highly recommend it to others.

Being able to take part in the Challenges Abroad trip to Thailand was absolutely fantastic. I learnt so much about the culture and the true meaning of what a global citizen is. I would, with no doubt, recommend others to take part in this experience.
