We’d like to reassure you that this isn’t a practice-specific fee, it’s the standard NHS Band 1 charge, set nationally. This covers your diagnosis, advice, and the issue of a prescription if needed, regardless of the time spent in the chair.

We do appreciate your concerns, and if you’d like, we’d be more than happy to go through how NHS dental charges work so it feels clearer for future visits.
