Great service from Emily, responding fast to the potential need for us to find an interim CEO with some really good advice and a strong set of potential candidates. I was particularly impressed by the speed of the response over a bank holiday weekend.

Happily, we did not in the end need to go with an interim option, but I would certainly recommend Charity Recruit as a great option for any organisation needing to explore that option.

We have just hired for quite a nuanced role at our small charity, and it felt like Emily knew exactly what we needed and understood our requirements perfectly. It was an easy process in which we were guided through and has resulted in us offering the role to someone we are very excited to have start. I couldn't recommend Charity Recruit and Emily more.

Emily was most caring and supportive during my application process, genuinely showing as much consideration to me as a candidate as I would expect anyone in her position to give to a client. This made the whole process feel more inclusive and peer-led, which as a result reflected very well on the hiring organisation (even if on this occasion it didn't go anywhere). Would recommend.

I recently attended a Charity Recruit boardroom discussion with Mark Phillips, and it was one of the most valuable sessions I’ve taken part in.

One of the ongoing challenges in the charity sector is the volume of advice available, much of which is presented as best practice but often lacks a clear evidence base. It’s not uncommon for organisations to invest time and money implementing recommended approaches, only to see little or no meaningful result.

What stood out here was the complete contrast to that. The session was grounded in real data, clearly explaining why certain approaches work and where common assumptions fall short. It challenged a number of widely repeated ideas in fundraising and did so in a way that was both practical and credible.

The fact that Charity Recruit provided this level of insight in a free session speaks volumes about their knowledge and expertise as specialist charity recruiters. It felt informative, honest, and genuinely useful rather than promotional.

I would highly recommend engaging with them if you’re looking for informed, evidence-based thinking in the charity space.
