The Hunter group taught me "how to express the most important message through the media." The lessons were enough to tell us about where, when, and what to put in the media, build a core message and use keywords to say many of our thoughts in simple core messages, and talk about the language of various significant media. . .

It has helped my business greatly as I learned how to present myself to many media outlets, primarily the nonprofits I run.

You’ve joined MYM, now what?
That was how I first felt about what I had signed up for. I was confident if I did the program, it would work.

My first zoom was a bit daunting as I was with fellow MYM newbies and some with vast experience.
Listening to the success of others inspired me. They gave me the lift I needed to stay focused on my message and what I saw as the future with the help of MYM and the coaches.

We all know the term it all starts at the top? With the coaches and administrative assistants working endlessly to make sure I was being supported, I was able to relax and do the work knowing there was
a team of people cheering me on and helping when I tripped…OK, I stumbled a bit here and there, but the stumbles were valuable to hone my message and feel confident going out and getting on with my business.

The most significant part of MYM is the program process. With MYM, I now have a lifelong plan. When I need motivation or a reminder of what I need to stay focused on, I can return to the modules and get that. Yes, I do miss the live support, but at some point, we all need to leave the nest, in this case, armed with a plan.

I experienced some frustration because I had submitted a few articles to various news outlets and got no response. I was starting to doubt myself and what I was doing. Was I not approaching my articles the right way? I went back and reviewed all my notes and one of the modules on newsworthy articles – I took a deep breath and reminded myself this isn’t a quick fix.

Then I woke up to an email from The Good Men Project telling me my article was published – Voila! Now the real work begins. I went back and wrote several more articles.

I am much further along in my endeavor as a result of my MYM experience. It showed me how to navigate the media that would have taken years; now, only months. This program works. Ask what you need to be supported so you too can get to the place you envision for yourself.
