4k HDR my backside
Hi all, my wife got a free Chili movie pass from Vodafone. So we chose Tenet in 4k hdr. Whether it’s streaming or a disk movie my tv detects the hdr signal and it automatically switches to a hdr setting. I knew straight away there was a problem. Upon pausing and going to settings in the app itself I discovered it was streaming in SD quality. But here’s the rub, the only other option was HD or something called HD+??????? Switching to HD+ did make a difference but nowhere near 4k hdr quality. I’ve given this review 1 star because at least the film was free and watchable (film itself was rubbish btw) but feel Chili are winging it
My tv is a Panasonic 65dx902b (won lots of awards) and my internet speed is 300mbs
Like other users I’ll probably never use Chili again. Found the sound quality poor also.

Joined chili to use free movie…
Joined chili to use free movie promotion code with Vodafone an it worked and my partner who is also with Vodafone did the same so for the past 2 night we have had movies to watch for free, has a lot of really good movies and there's plenty to pick from and the option for hd+ is always a bonus, we also had problems with our movies not playing saying an error has occurred... i think it was overloaded with Vodafone users and had the servers working over time managed to watch the first movie the next morning and watching the 2nd just now....BUT !!!!!! the sound quality isn't great you can still watch the movie and hear everything but the background noise get a little intense when there's no actual speaking from the main actors. I'm giving chili a 3 * for the amount of movies there's to select from and because some are really pricy, would have given 5* if sound was better and more better priced.

Didn't work
Got a free code as I'm a Vodafone customer, had to use it before midnight, managed to creat the account and put the code in but then I kept getting a "oops a error has occurred" message this carried on all the way till midnight when the voucher expired 🤷🏻♂️ shame, It's a good way to entice new customers, but it just shows me either it was a con or the app on my smart TV is too unreliable, it's going to get deleted, I think I'll stick to prime and netflix 😅

Faker than plastic surgery
Got an offer to watch a movie through chili for free. Made an account and logged in on fire stick; no movies, just a screen with account, info, settings. Even worse, did some research and looked at some reviews from a few months ago on this site and others and everyone’s saying it’s a scam and a fake website. There’s only a few good reviews but they probably wrote them themselves; wouldn’t be surprised. It’s my own fault for not even googling them before making an account. Don’t trust them. Complete and utter waste of time. I hope that the site and app is taken down some day, along with this garbage company.

For this reason you do not see all the films in the catalog but only those that you have already rented or purchased from other devices.
If you want to watch a movie from this app you must first have rented / purchased it from another device. You will find the content in the MY CHILI - FILM section of the app.

è già la seconda volta che acquisto una…
è già la seconda volta che acquisto una giftcard per chili da regalare e non funziona. La prima volta dopo settimane avevano risolto, ora sinceramente mi sono stancato di dover mandare mail su mail. Il mio consiglio è di non acquistare mai prepagate mygiftcard su chili. Non so se per colpa dell'uno o dell'altro ma regalarle non funziona mai. In più, pessimo servizio clienti.

Problemi continui di connessione
Ultimi due film noleggiati che non si riescono a vedere per problemi di connessione. Viaggio con fibra a 200mbps, vedo tranquillamente film su Rakuten, Amazon prime etc... Chili sveglia! Qui se non ti sistemi chiudi presto! Saluti

Un autentico fallimento!!!
Purtroppo, ho commesso l'errore di non consultare le recensioni ed ho noleggiato un film su chili.com... una pessima idea: nonostante i miei due wi.fi. funzionassero entrambi perfettamente (testato con altri scaricamenti), per vedere il film "Amanti di Guerra", che sarebbe dovuto durare h. 1,41, ci abbiamo impiegato oltre due ore, perché LO SCARICAMENTO FUNZIONA MALE E SI INTERROMPE CONTINUAMENTE. Sconsigliatissimo!!!

Great choice
I don’t really get all the poor reviews, not sure if I have been lucky or others unlucky! Never tried to buy, just rent. It’s true some titles are a bit pricey but you have the choice to pay or not and unlike Amazon it’s upfront (we found A Prime really annoying, the way it put paid for content in with sub content, anyway!). For choice I have not found anything better! Been using Smart TV ap and works perfectly. Works with chromecast too via Android device (there is a page with what devices it works on, understand that it doesn’t work on Apple but not sure). Very easy to use. Like that it’s clear and you get what you pay for. Would recommend.

No subtitles on popular content
I rely on subtitles to understand what people are saying in films and TV shows. It was surprising to discover that Chili does not provide subtitles for popular films like Home Alone and John Wick.
If you think about it, Chili provides a worse service to the viewer than pirates who include SRT subtitle files in their releases.
I would not recommend using Chili if you need basic accessibility features. It is not worth signing up for if you depend on subtitles.

we understand your point. For this reason we have introduced subtitles in many titles of our catalogue and we are working to increase the number of movies with subtitles. At the moment you can verify if a movie has subtitles directly in the movie details page so you can decide to purchase it depending on the subtitles availability.
