I had a painting to send to Manchester, so set up an account with Citysprint…they have an office just down the road , so I thought I’d give them a go, thinking if there was any problem, I could pop down and sort it out. When it came to booking the delivery, I found my account was on hold, I couldn’t get hold of anyone via email or chat and despite google saying the office was open, it was closed weekends, so left it til Monday morning. I had already emailed my contact at Citysprint on the Friday morning. and not heard anything back til I chased again Monday. I was passed on to some one in ‘bookings’ before recieving an email from accounts telling me my account was closed as ‘it looked like a fraudulent account’. I wrote back explaining I wasn’t trying to defraud anyone and I could go to the office with ID if necessary…the account was reinstated.
I booked the delivery, entering the correct size of the package and arranged for it to be picked up asap after losing 4 days due to the account being closed, the driver turned up at about 2.30pm.
About half an hour later I received a call from the office telling me the package was going to cost another 80+ quid due to the ‘girth size’, I didn’t have much of a choice at this point, the parcel was already late and I’d incur a fee if the parcel was returned.
The next day I checked the progress of the parcel which was due to be delivered at 10.30 that morning only to find it was being held at a warehouse somewhere.
I figured that this was due to the surcharge, so headed to the office and while Seb being very helpful, the parcel was now with DPD and they weren’t saying anything other than there had been a problem at the warehouse’.
The parcel arrived on the Wednesday about midday, thankfully in one piece and the surcharge came out of my account Thursday.
If I get a quote for delivery and pass it onto the custeomer only to be told it’s 83 quid more, I can then go to the customer and ask them for the balance, if I’d know it would be this much to begin with, all good.
What with the seemingly pointless cancellation and reinstatement of my account and poor comms once the parcel was sent, it was a very poor experience for me and I’ll probably give Citysprint a miss when it comes to sending my work out to clients.

Chose an overnight delivery and the package arrived with serious damage. I took out indemnity but they refused to pay out due to what they termed inadequate packaging.
They do not make clear on the website that the overnight delivery involves shunting packages around with machinery and dropping them "from shoulder height" (their words).
The packing guide suggests cardboard and bubble wrap. You actually need a crate, polystyrene or foam for anything that isn't bulletproof.
Avoid.

Have used city sprint numerous time's & find there service excellent the staff are amazing knowledgeable & helpful.. never had a problem with delivery service & I sometimes work in very remote places...

Great service and helped Me carry 11 heavy 18mm boards down to an awkward basement flat. Legend!

City Sprint are my go-to couriers. I thoroughly recommend.

Dean is great, always very friendly, he always makes sure the reception team have seen him on his way up to the 2nd floor to pathology to collect his package. He knows I always leave his package in the same place but always double checks with me before leaving with it. If he is ever running late he finds a way to let me know. I feel very confident knowing my package is in Deans safe hands.

Very helpful and friendly regular couriers. Those that take bags between the courts always say hello and if we are busy and forget, ask if anything to go.

I have never had a delivery by CitySprint before. Rob BN40 arrived about 1hr early. The courier brought the order through to the back garden where some work was being done without my needing to ask. Nice friendly guy too. Great service, thank you.

ROB BN40 delivered awkward 8' by 4' plywood sheets direct to my hallway exactly on time. Cheery and helpful all the way. Not possible to improve on his service.
