Excellent guides, unique lodging, wonderful dining experiences in addition to just enough walking experiences to categorize this adventure as a hiking trip

The entire tour was a memorable experience! Our guide Alessandro was exceptional in coordinating our daily activities while allowing time for exploring and shopping.

The lodgings and food experiences were also wonderful. My wife and I are grateful to have shared in this small group experience!

Isabelle was so lovely ;she guided our group with care and kindness.
She is extremely knowledgeable about all things Provence.

The walks were great and I loved the guides. I would have liked more free time some afternoons to explore the towns. We visited too many houses. The food was very good. Most of the hotels were good; however, the Cotswalds Hotel was unacceptable and a safety hazard and should never be used again! We cannot have members of our group experiencing water pouring through the light bulb in the bathroom ceiling and the light exploding - and the staff made a bad situation worse!! I loved the cooking class and the visit to Stonehenge!

The Puglia tour was amazing! Ancient cities, delicious food, lovely hotels, and a very knowledgeable and personable guide, Alessandro. CJ arranged special activities and viewing for us which added so much to our experience.

I was impressed with how the internal travel went smoothly.
Our tour guide Alfredo and his local assistant, Belen were fantastic. They did everything to make sure that our needs were met, to assist us when necessary and that we had a great experience on each outing.
The lodging was very comfortable. All the staff were pleasant and helpful.
My only complaint is that trip could have been a few days longer.

The Amalfi coast hiking trip was fantastic. Ullises was the perfect guide and flexed when needed. Loved the hotels of GH Vesuvio and Quisiania.
I will say the L'Agavi was very good, but after going there, would have preferred to stay in Ravello. The terrain in Positano would have been perfect for a day trip; and Ravello for a night's stay.
Also Enzo was a fantastic driver; and Nello was our source for background on flora and fauna.
If I were to book another trip with CJ, I would love to have Ulisses again as our guide-his knowledge was incredible about the area.

We had a wonder guide, Ricardo Guggenheimer, and driver, Estefania, on our walking trip through Andalusia Spain. Our tour was comprehensive, with a lot of cultural exposures ( Paella cooking, Vineyard visit, Flamenco dancing performance and family olive farm. Our walks were pleasant and the small group congenial.

Great guide, who was both well informed and personable. Also, enjoyed trips to olive oil farming, cork tree farm and cheese producer

Our trip to Ireland was made extra special by our local guide Donal. He took amazing care of us and brought us to so many jaw droppingly beautiful places. The walks and experiences were once in a lifetime.

Our trip to Greece was wonderful. It is a beautiful country with so much history and people. The best part, however, were our two guides--Merinela and Erini. Both were warm, welcoming, and informative. Their energy was contagious. They were so knowledgeable. We also enjoyed our time with Merinla while in Athens and Delphi. She treated us like family. We highly recommend this trip to others.

Nice mix of walking, culture,great food,very organized leaders that adjusted to changes with ease and attention to all having a good experience. All got along which helped. The accommodations were good esp the last place where the staff were as good as the property.
We had taken the most classic journey trips so were readily able to talk of food trips and norway that stood out…

Incredible locales, magnificent hotels, first class service, but most of all having local tour guides who are interesting, intelligent, informative and accomodating makes for an amazing experience. I have now taken two Classic Journeys tours and there will be more in my future.

Ullice was one of the best guides we have ever had; we have travelled extensively! He understood the needs of our group of 10, knew his history, interacted positively with locals and was very well organized. Hats off to him; he made it look easy, but we know there were lots of behind the scene preparations! This was our first trip with Classic Journeys and we'll be back.

This was our second trip with Classic Journey and we are planning another for next year.
The company has every detail perfected and the trips are extremely well planned and run smoothly. Guest services are always available and communicative and always helpful with any questions or concerns.
The guides, Uli and Francesco were the absolute best! They actually made the experience incredible. Both men work so hard to insure that the guests are comfortable and enjoy each activity. They are experts and share so much of their knowledge with the group. It is obvious that they really care and take pride in their positions. We were so lucky to have them as our leaders.
The sightseeing was beautiful, of course. My only suggestion would be to limit any long meals that are many courses to just one a day. I would like less eating and more options for walking.Also, my personal preference is for local dinner restaurants instead of the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotels was delicious and plentiful and the hotels were gorgeous.
We had a great group of travelers who got along well and enjoyed each other’s company. The trip was definitely a 10 out of 10 and I’m already looking forward to next year!
