Für Einsteiger in die Welt des VPN, ganz okay, aber für diesen Preis (teurer als NordVPN, SurfShark, ProtonVPN Premium etc.) geradezu peinlich. Für Profis gänzlich ungeeignet und mit zahllosen Schwächen aufwartend, extrem langsam und kaum Unterschiede zu völlig kostenlosen Alternativen. So gut die Jungs und Mädels von MacPaw auch sein mögen, diese Software ist im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes ein hundertprozentiger Griff ins Klo. Einsteiger werden es in den ersten Tagen höchstwahrscheinlich ganz gut finden, aber auch sehr bald feststellen, dass sie das vermutlich schlechteste VPN gekauft haben. Überdies verweise ich auf fehlende Apps für tvOS wie auch Android-TV. Extrem peinlich und ein regelrechtes Armutszeugnis.

Used for a year on & off. Some websites will not load using it. However it is a useful tool as and when required. Speed is reduced when using it but not to the detriment of functionality. There are of course numerous other VPNs available. Personally I would not use the free ones as their credentials are not that transparent.

It didn’t work and I cancelled in thee trial period. Still I got an email saying that ypu vharged me.

Really nice and legit VPN. Software has good UI. Can't found anything better for that price.

clean UI, no issues during usage

Abbuchung von 24,99 € nach einem halben Jahr für ein die "kostenlose" App, die ich mir nur angesehen habe und nie nutze. Habe mich für Mozilla VPN entschieden, für 60 € im Jahr, hatte die besseren Bewertungen und Einstellmöglichkeiten.

Setting up this VPN was a nightmare. The instructions were unclear, even after all that, it still didn’t work properly. Definitely not user-friendly.

I did a 3 day free trail to try, I canceled, but the amount was taken off my bank account anyway, so I'm stuck to Clear VPN for a year. Bad handling!

I’ve been a loyal user of SetApp / MacPaw products for many years and have had great success with them. However, due to very recent financial laws @05/2024, using ClearVPN has led to some unexpected issues. It appears that some VPN traffic is being routed through Ukraine, which has caused my financial accounts, including Robinhood, to flag and ultimately freeze.

While I don’t believe this is the fault of MacPaw, SetApp, or ClearVPN, it highlights a significant need for them to reconsider their data routing and provide alternative server options. Currently, my regular financial and retirement accounts are completely frozen.

I’m in Europe, far from Ukraine, and used public Wi-Fi with ClearVPN for security. Unfortunately, this resulted in alarming emails from Robinhood about suspicious activity from Ukraine, leading to this stressful situation.

I hope that MacPaw, SetApp, and ClearVPN can assist in resolving this issue quickly. I’ve submitted helpdesk tickets and am eagerly awaiting a response. Any assistance while I’m on vacation would be greatly appreciated.
