My husband and I successfully summited Mt. Kilimanjaro with Climbing Kilimanjaro on new year's day 2025! This was one of the most mentally and physically challenging experiences I have ever done. All of the staff (guides, porters, cooks, drivers) went above and beyond to meet our daily needs, keep us safe and healthy, and insure that we had a great experience! I highly recommend Climbing Kilimanjaro for this experience of a lifetime.

I couldn’t recommend Climbing Kilimanjaro highly enough. All of the guides and porters were the kindest most genuine people who went above and beyond the call of duty to make climbing Kilimanjaro such a magical experience for all of the people in our group. They shared so much fascinating information and history about the mountain throughout the journey and always kept spirits high on the tough days. Trip of the lifetime! Just got back yesterday from climbing Kilimanjaro with family of five and friends, 7d Lemosho route. The company Climbing Kilimanjaro is the BEST! Couldn’t think of anyone better to support us all the way. We had a range of ages (16-49) in our party and they took care of our every need. Their expertise, knowledge, incredible care in the small details, attention to health Ms well-being, building a sense of team unity can’t be beat. I highly recommend climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro to anyone looking to challenge themselves and experience an unforgettable adventure. We celebrated turning 40, and kicking cancer’s and a plethora of mental issues ass by climbing. We chose the 7-day Lemosho route that promised success and insane views and it did not disappoint. It was nothing short of incredible and I am so grateful to the remarkable team from Climbing Kilimanjaro.

From the very start, the support and motivation provided by our guides were exceptional. We were a group of 12, and every single one of us successfully reached Uhuru Peak.. Chief guide Abdi Mikine, along with his talented team members Adolf, Masauri, Mamuya, Chiku, and David, ensured that we felt safe, encouraged, and empowered every step of the way. It was especially comforting to have a female guide in the mix, adding an inclusive and supportive atmosphere.

The logistics were seamless, with the entire crew working tirelessly behind the scenes. Our cooks, Manyaro and Steve, kept us well-fed and hydrated with delicious meals that fueled us through our climbs. We were also supported by an incredible team of 42 porters who were instrumental in making our experience enjoyable. Special thanks to Joseph and Kennedy for ensuring we had ample water, and to Julias and Yohana for keeping our facilities clean and comfortable. The team responsible for setting up camp—Betuel, Godfrey, Genesis, and Sam—made our nights restful and our mornings smooth.

The stunning views along the Lemosho route and the camaraderie we built as a group made this adventure truly unforgettable. Climbing Kilimanjaro exceeded our expectations, and I can't praise them enough for their professionalism, care, and commitment to our success. Our Kilimanjaro climb with the Climbing Kilimanjaro agency was an amazing experience! As part of Team "Rafiki," Professor Omar and his crew went above and beyond, providing not only expert guidance but also endless positivity. The food was phenomenal—thanks to Chef Dioniz and Paulo, every meal felt like a feast on the mountain! They continuously surprised us with a fantastic variety, including pasta, eggs, chicken, fish, beef, fruits, and vegetarian options. Who knew we could indulge in popcorn, pizza, and cake at such altitude?

Omar, Adolf, Martiny, and the rest of the crew were always there to lift our spirits, sharing stories that kept us going. Morning tea from Maliky and "maji moto" from Alex, along with the culinary magic from Dioniz and Paulo, fueled us for the journey ahead. Summit day, like the entire trek, was unforgettable. With singing, encouragement, and heartfelt motivation, the team ensured we felt supported every step of the way. "The pain is just for a few hours, but the victory is forever!" - Professor Omar.
Speaking about the pain, the team genuinely want you to succeed and reach the top, but the company's top priority is your health. The team performed health checks twice a day, and ad-hoc consultation, ensuring that we were fit to continue and would get back home safely.

We also want to extend our deepest gratitude to the entire team of porters (special respect to ladies Naomi, Prisca, Rogati, and Chiku) and the crew responsible for maintaining the toilets, setting up tents, and all the behind-the-scenes work. Their dedication and hard work often go unnoticed but were essential for making our journey comfortable and enjoyable. Without their constant support and teamwork, we would not have made it even close to the summit.

After our Kilimanjaro adventure, we enjoyed a relaxing safari with Kefas, who took us to Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire to experience the incredible wildlife side of Tanzania. He guided us safely close to the animals, giving us the opportunity to see lions, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, flamingos, hyenas, wildebeests, and more. Kefas provided great explanations about the nature and wildlife, making our post-Kilimanjaro safari the perfect way to unwind and celebrate our achievement.

Overall, being part of Team "Rafiki" made this amazing journey and our seamless recovery after Kilimanjaro truly unforgettable!

It was my dream to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro and I was able to do that with the amazing services of CLIMBING KILIMANJARO. I can’t say enough good things about this company or their superb employees. Our guide was Omar (known as “the Professor”) and he was absolutely phenomenal. Omar was extremely knowledgeable, supportive of each climber’s individual needs, a strong leader with the entire support team, and motivated for our success. His assistant guides were also outstanding, as were all the porters, chefs, waiters, etc. Truly professional.

As I prepared for my climb, it was extremely useful to be able to coordinate with a U.S. based office team. They were extremely responsive and helpful in answering my many questions about everything to ensure I was ready. Once I got on the ground in Tanzania, the local team there was super as well to confirm that all our needs were being met.

I give this company the highest possible rating. Everything about my experience with CLIMBING KILIMANJARO, and especially their guide Omar, was top notch. I give my strongest possible recommendation to anyone seeking trekking services to use them! They gave me the wonderful experience and dream of a lifetime!!

I am just back from Kilimanjaro after having had the most wonderful adventure. I and a group of friends, signed up with Climbing Kilimanjaro, and I cannot recommend this company highly enough. From the minute we arrived in the Kilimanjaro Airport, we knew we were in safe hands. The entire group of guides (including Tumaini, Ambassador, David, Solomen and David), porters, cooks etc. who accompanied us from beginning to end could not have been more friendly, kind, helpful and supportive. Our safety and wellbeing were always top of the agenda, we were briefed thoroughly before each new leg of our adventure and even when the going got tough (particularly on summit night), the guides gentle encouragement and reassurances are what made the difference in us making it to the summit of the mountain. I recently completed an expedition with Climbing Kilimanjaro for Cancer Research UK in memory of my dad, and I can confidently say that it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish! Our climbing team was called Team Kilibanjaro, and the support and camaraderie we shared made the journey even more meaningful.

I was liaising with Natalie while getting information and booking my expedition, and she was incredibly helpful throughout the process. Upon arrival in Tanzania, my point of contact was Vummy, who was also really supportive and made the transition smooth.

I started my adventure with a safari guided by Solomon, who was not only friendly but incredibly knowledgeable. I was lucky enough to see a wide variety of animals, including zebras, elephants, buffalo, wildebeest, hyenas, lions, baboons, warthogs, and gazelles. Solomon's insights during our tour of the Ngorongoro Crater added depth to the experience, making it truly special.

The trek up Kilimanjaro was incredible, thanks to the fantastic team. Our guides, Isack (Lead Guide), Salim, and Michael, were outstanding. Each day, as we trekked from camp to camp, they provided insightful information about the nature around us and the history of the mountain itself. The views from Mount Kilimanjaro were breathtaking! Our health and safety were the team's number one priority, and they checked our heart rates and blood pressure daily to ensure we were physically fit for the trek, which gave me great peace of mind. The food provided was not only tasty but plentiful, fueling us for the journey ahead. Summit night was undoubtedly tough, but with the unwavering support of the guides and porters, I made it to the top. I truly could not have done it without them!

My personal porter, Benson, was a true gem—his support made all the difference, and I felt well taken care of throughout the journey. The overall team was simply amazing!

Knowledgable guide, assistant guides and porters. Everyone involved from the food, to the toilets, to the tents are a huge part behind the scenes. Great experience from the time we booked to the time we said good bye! Great communication! I always felt informed, had concerns addressed and I would choose them again hands down!

From start to finish CK was awesome in guiding us through our Kili journey. I did this trip with 5 friends to ring in my 30th Birthday and our guide Jonas made us feel safe and organized through the entire time. They even went out of their way to throw me a huge birthday celebration, the crew and guides were all so enthusiastic about the occasion and even baked a cake and sang a bunch of birthday songs. We had an absolutely incredible time. The thought of summitting Kili is super daunting and having a team that helps take care of the details for you, makes it so much less stressful. Jones, Ram and Mamuya (our guides) kept our spirits up and guided us on every step. We had minimal altitude issues but our one hiker that had an issue was unbelievably well taken care of and his safety was taken super seriously and handled perfectly. We 100% recommend CK for everything Kili and Tanzania has to offer. Look no further, just book CK. Our rep Brian in the US was super responsive and took care of everything for us. What a terrific experience working with Climbing Kilimanjaro. This company prioritizes the safety of its guests, customer service that is above and beyond, knowledgeable and hardworking guides, and quality of food at every meal. This was a great company to climb with and whom I strongly recommend for making your own experience memorable.

Climbing-Kilimanjaro did an outstanding job in all aspects of our experience in Tanzania. We had a family of 4 of which 2 arrived early to climb the 8 day Lemosho Route up Kilimanjaro and 2 arrived later to join for a 6 day safari and a few final days in Zanzibar. It was a bit unnerving just “sending money into the void “ when we were arranging everything but once we arrived, there were drivers waiting at every transfer to take us to hotel or activity or airport. The climb up Kilimanjaro was so well organized. For our group of 8 we had 4 guides, two chefs and 30 porters. That may seem like a lot, but they all worked so very hard and always had smiles on their faces. There were a lot of people and groups on the mountain but they made it feel like we were the only ones. When we arrived, in Tanzania, each of our pairs of two were taken on day trips, of our choosing, around Arusha and vicinity.
After the climb, they provided us with a guide/driver and private Land Rover to take us around the northern safari loop. We visitedTarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara national parks. We had 4-5 star accommodations in safari lodges and safari camps the entire time. I have never been taken care of so well. Our trip to Zanzibar was a bit too short to really get in all the activities we wanted. One of the issues being that we had planned so late we ended up in a resort across the island from Stone Town. We did have a great time renting a hobie cat and sailing off the beautiful beach, exploring Stone Town and wandering the beach. But, it was an hour and a half from the airport and for our day trip into Stone Town. The resort reminded me of a landlocked cruise ship, so, if that’s your cup of tea…otherwise book early.
Overall I cannot say enough positive things to do Climbing-Kilimanjaro justice. They did an outstanding job. Thank you Omary, Jonathan, Peter, Joseph, Erick, Issa, Robert, Vitalis, Peter, Voomee, Brian and so many more. You are a part of an amazing family.

In all honesty, it is very difficult to put into words just how amazing this trip was. I spent an entire year planning, prepping, and working out. The sweat in all of those workouts and hikes leading up to the Kilimanjaro trip was all worth it and then some. Climbing Kilimanjaro Company truly is the best. We had 6 amazing guides: Isaack, Raymond, Saleem (sorry if I misspelled), Mary, Gerald, and David, They were like hiking with professional mountaineers, doctors, historians, and friends all in one. They took care of any and all needs that arose with our group, but I must say there were very few needs that arose because everything was so carefully planned and organized. The porters? Wow, they are the backbone. They do so much work. They are so incredibly friendly and help you whenever you need it. I HIGHLY recommend Climbing Kilimanjaro Company to anyone thinking of a trek on Kilimanjaro. I would be happy to share my experiences and answer any questions someone may have. They also planned my Safari which was also amazing. Another great guide (Bernard) who was very knowledgable and extremely nice and friendly. I left Africa with not only the experience of Climbing Kilimanjaro and seeing the Serengeti, but I also left with new lifelong friends. ALL thanks to the Climbing Kilimanjaro Company!

My wife and I completed the Machame route with Climbing Kilimanjaro in July 2024.
The 7 day trek was one of the best experiences we've ever had, and this was primarily due to the hard work and charisma of the CK guides, porters, & crew.
A few things worth mentioning include:
1) Food - it's all freshly prepared, healthy and delicious. You won't go hungry and this is an important factor in successful ascents. (Thanks Suleman and Jared)
2) Guides - highly professional and experienced. Tomaini, Salim, Naomi and Sixbeth were also great fun - they sang and danced us all the way up to Uhuru Peak!
Safety - our guides gave us information briefings each evening and took our pulse ox readings twice per day. They also monitored our progress and constantly reminded us to drink enough water, walk slowly, eat snacks etc.
3) Toilet & washing facilities - we had a private portable toilet for the group of six clients. This was cleaned several times per day and was a far superior option than using the communal toilets (trust me on this!). Thanks Gifty! Warm water is also provided twice daily for personal washing.
4) The trek itself - the daily treks are manageable for most people with a reasonable level of fitness. Above 3,000m, altitude becomes a factor so you need to listen carefully to your guides. (Pole pole and sippy sippy!)
Summit night is long and quite difficult. Descending is also steep and exhausting. The CK guides played a heroic part in keeping everyone motivated with singing, dancing and fun - I can't emphasise enough how important this becomes when you hike through the night at high altitude in freezing temperatures!

The above factors contributed hugely to the constant banter, laughs and chats within the group. Everybody in the group successfully reached Uhuru Peak in summit day without issue.
