Quick and easy
I came across CloudConverter totally randomly. I was just opening a file in google drive and it said that it cannot be open, so I had to download it. Even on my laptop I couldn't open it, so I was lucky that drive offered me to convert it through CloudConvert. Quick registration through google, file uploaded automatically. Just perfect and easy. Love that free version offers more than is needed. I would totally recommend it to everybody. Thank you, CloudCovert, for making my life easier!

Free? They lie, want you to pay.
Ok so first thing they tell you it's free. The after a few conversions, you have to join. OK so they don't tell you that you have to pay after 25 conversions, or you have to wait 24 hours. So I waited, came back, and was told I had exceeded my 25 conversions, come back in 11 hours.

Your daily limit of 25 conversion minutes exceeded. Your daily free quota will reset in 11 hours 25 minutes 7 seconds. Alternatively, you can buy a package to continue using this service. "
I'm done with them.

As non-customer, you can convert up to 25 files per day. These free credits are reseted every day at 0:00 (CEST timezone). We do think converting 25 files per day is sufficient for most users. Please do understand that that running CloudConvert costs a lot of money and that we cannot provide our service for free. Please also note that we do not have any advertisement on our website.
If you need more than 25 minutes per day we do have very fair pricing options.

did exactly what it said on the tin. converted an apple .mov file to a .mp4 no problem. Upload took a while as a large file, but probably more to do with my broadband speed. download was pretty fast and played seamlessly afterwards! ;-)
