Cogent have been superb helping me to keep the current Limited Company running smoothly and compliant for the last 3 years with zero fuss with efficient, diligent, comprehensive and kind support. ( I've been with many of their team for about 25 years under previous company C.M.Easy ). They sort everything from Tax Advice from my Accountant (Paul), scrutinising & onboarding New Contracts, Payroll & Invoicing Team, Expensing, Settling VAT & Corporation Tax, Self-Assessment and keeping the Company Account in excellent order through Free-Agent. Definitely recommended.

You get my vote
After a long period working overseas I returned to the UK to work under a limited company, I was recommended CMEasy/Cogent to look after my accounts. That was 12 years ago, and one of the best business decisions I ever made. From initial set up of company, opening company accounts, providing insurance and ensuring the accounts/taxation/VAT is done correctly and in a timely manner, nothing has been too much trouble. Jeremy and his team have been first class. Mark my account manager has been like a friend on the end of the phone or email, always there to provide advise and support me.
Having recently retired I would like to say thank you CMEasy/Cogent.

Since April 2024, I have used Cogent Accounts and Mark Dowling has been my contact. Mark has been great, very knowledgeable and personable. He’s also educated me. Mark produced a financial projection for me which has helped me no end. I can’t recommend Cogent or Mark highly enough.

I have used the services of Cogent Accountants (formally CMEasy) on and off now for the past 20 years. The FreeAgent accounting system is very easy to use, but also puts you in charge of your own finances. In particular, Mark Dowling and Jeremy de Lord are very responsive, knowledgeable and provide professional, straightforward advice. They understand how contractors work and provide great advice on IR35, expenses & dividends. I would highly recommend working with Cogent Accountants.

I would recommend their services without hesitation. They will provide you with an access to an excellent online accounting platform. And they are always there if you have any questions. Adam Dowling has always been very helpful making it very easy to understand all the matters concerning your company accounts and taxes. I've been with Cogent Accountants (previously known as CMEASY) for 13 years and never had any issues.
