I recently went on my 6th trip with Colconquers (this time to Gran Canaria). I continue to be impressed by the packages that Rob, Karen and team offer. Rob is great at making the trip suitable for people of all abilities and offers a fun and welcoming environment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Colconquers to everyone.

I had a great experience with Colconquerors during a Winter Training session on Gran Canaria. Not only was it a great location, but Rob and Karen made sure the trip exceeded my expectations. For me safety is a big concern when traveling solo far from home. The rides were challenging but I never felt pressured to exceed my personal safety threshold. The routes were well conceived and adjusted to the satisfaction of the group. It was definitely what I was looking for and I will certainly be a repeat customer. Pick out some climbs and sign up early; nothing will keep you more motivated than having a challenging week on your calendar. I highly recommend.

A fantastic cycling week in Gran Canaria thanks to Colconquerors ! Rob and Karen were brilliant hosts, guides and on road supporters. They could not do enough to help in any situation, always prepared to go the extra mile. I was particularly impressed by their professionalism in all areas and the obvious amount of work that had gone in to every aspect of the planning...the routes, the fueling stops and the hotels. Brilliant !

Simply the best cycling holiday I have had so far. Rob and Karen make the trip run perfectly, personally it is challenging, demanding and rewarding with stunning views. Thank you both, I will be back.

Super facilities at the hotel and Rob is always there to support and encourage the rider to achieve their potential. All rides are fully supported with the Col Conqueror’s vehicle which means the riders don’t have to carry too much stuffed into jersey pockets!

My third trip with Colconquerors, this was the Gran Canaria Winter Break. Fantastic, testing cycling with great support from Rob & Karen. Highly recommended GC is great this time of year, hotel is excellent, routes are well planned and best of all you get great coaching from Rob which I find enormously beneficial. I'll be on tour with Colconquerors again in the near future

I cycled with Colconquerors in Gran Canaria in January 2020. It was a week of perfect, glorious cycling. Rob and Karen Hawkins of Colconquerors have every detail planned and arranged, before and after arrival. They know all the roads, every twist and turn, and all I had to do was cycle in, mostly, warm sunshine. Rob cycles all the routes, Karen drives the support van. Great people,lovely accommodation, excellent food, good roads, and fabulous cycling. If there were six stars, Colconquerors would have them all.

An excellent trip with Col Conquerors (as always). Great support on the rides...enjoyable company off the bike. Nothing is too much trouble and the result is a first class experience.

Another great week with Rob and Karen. As usual very well organised great attention to detail fabulous routes something for everybody. Anne was very well looked after as a non cyclist and really enjoyed the trip particularly the yoga and excursions with Karen in the support vehicle.
We will be back again next year.

Another special week with Rob and Karen at Colconquerors. With well-planned routes (with options for all abilities), accommodation choices carefully suited to the needs of the visiting cyclist, and impeccable on-the-road support and in the moment coaching, you really couldn’t ask for anything more from your cycling tour hosts. Nothing is too much for them to sort out, and they have an amazing knack of knowing just what I need to get out of the week normally before i do.
I just wish there were more weeks in the year when I could spend time with these guys!

My boyfriend and I went on the GC Winter Break in November 2019. He’s a seasoned cyclist and I’m a novice, so I was nervous about this trip. Rob and Karen couldn’t have made me feel more at ease. Mentally it was a real comfort knowing that the support van was nearby throughout the entire trip. Rob’s coaching was second-to-none: I was able to do climbs I thought were completely beyond me, and went from walking down some descents in the UK(!) to racing my other half down Fataga (with the biggest smile on my face)! Planning to get more miles under my belt, ready to repeat the same trip next winter!

A great week's riding with terrific support and a very comfortable base. I was a little nervous before heading out that I would be fit enough having not done much training beforehand but all levels were well catered for and we all achieved more than we thought we were possible of. Even the much dreaded VOTT!!

Just returned from a week with Col Conquerors on their Gran Canaria Island Challenge - an epic adventure which pushed me (pleasurably) to my limits. Six days of riding in challenging mountains, with plenty of encouragement, advice, support and mentoring to achieve my goals. This was my fourth trip with CC to GC, and was probably the best yet, certainly in terms of getting stronger as the week wore on. A few mechanical problems with the bike were swiftly dealt with, thanks to great on-the-road support, hotels and food were great and the overall package was spot on. Rob and Karen run a great operation - nothing is too much trouble, groups are kept deliberately small so you get to know all the other riders, and the meticulous planning leaves you wanting for nothing. Can't recommend highly enough.

Just visited the mountains for a second fantastic cycling experience with Colconquerors. Great choice of hotel and food in a wonderful relaxed location for tackling Ventoux and its three iconic climbs. Rob and Karen took very good care of us from the moment they picked us up from the airport, to dropping us off again four days later. I think the whole group benefitted from Rob’s coaching expertise and encouragement on the road. The downtime was just as much fun as the riding; stress plus rest = great gain! I know it’s not going to be too long before I book my next challenge with Colconquerors!

Col Conquerors planned and executed a fabulous long weekend in the saddle. Repeatedly reaching the heights of the majestic Mont Ventoux from every which way, the views were stunning, except when we couldn’t see for the cloud cover at the top, and then a swift change of plan had us revelling in the joy of the Gorges de la Nesques.

The hotel and route planning were excellent, the meals and coffee and pizza stops, required and tasty. Humour abounded, as is required on brutal rides, and the organisation excelled.

Rob and Karen are marvellous hosts.

A fantastic experience

If you’re looking for an organised cycling challenge I don’t think you will find a better group to go with.

The whole thing is professional and personal right from collection at the airport, through the days in the saddle to final drop off. Rob & Karen were there each step of the way making sure that everything was taken care of.

Each day begins with a hearty breakfast and a briefing of what is to come, filling you with confidence that you won’t be left to fend for yourself. You are then guided at each stage before heading back for a well-earned evening meal.

For me a certain amount of tinkering was required, this caused no issues and a new route was waiting for me the next morning making sure I was able to enjoy myself as much as possible. The whole trip felt very relaxed with no pressure to push yourself to breaking point to hit an unobtainable goal, but the support that seems to come naturally spurs you on further than you think is possible.

I’m looking forward to the next challenge.
