La prima impressione e' poco entusiasmante.
Mi e' stato chiesto di fare da garante per uno studente. Ho guardato il contratto, che viene condiviso dopo il pagamento di una caparra di 500 euro. Bene, il contratto e' nei fatti una lunga serie di clausole a mio avviso vessatorie. Ad esempio l'addebito di qualsiasi riparazione, anche quelle causate da normale usura, l'addebito di qualsiasi spesa di recupero crediti (significa un mancato pagamento di 1 euro puo' tranquillamente diventare un debito di 1000 euro!), 30 euro di costi per ogni comunicazione di ritardato pagamento, l'impossibilita' di recesso anticipato (il contratto e' annuale), la non-restituzione della caparra, la cessione dei crediti a completa loro discrezione etc etc etc.
Cio' che colpisce e' anche la postura di questo gruppo internazionale particolarmente ostile proprio verso studenti internazionali, che debbono procurarsi un garante in Italia anche se maggiorenni e regolarmente residenti nel nostro paese. A mio modesto avviso una importante discriminazione verso ragazzi che normalmente cercano di far bene.
Tutto cio' a fronte di costi obiettivamente altissimi: 1400 euro al mese circa per una stanza minuscola. Bah...
I've been asked to act as a sponsor for a student. I looked at the contract, which is shared after the payment of a deposit of 500 euros. Well, the contract is in fact a long series of clauses that I think are vexatious. For example, the charge for any repairs, even those caused by normal wear and tear, the charge for any debt collection costs (meaning a non-payment of 1 euro can easily become a debt of 1,000 euros!), 30 euro costs for any communication of delayed payment, the impossibility of early withdrawal (the contract is annual), the non-return of the deposit, the assignment of credits at their complete discretion etc etc etc.
What is also striking is the posture of this international group which is particularly hostile towards international students, who must obtain a guarantor in Italy even if they are adults and legally resident in our country. In my humble opinion an important discrimination against kids who normally try to do well.
All this in the face of objectively very high costs: around 1400 euros a month for a tiny room.
